Sungai Bawang Cultural Village is located on the border of Kutai Kartanegara Regency and Samarinda City which is adjacent to the Pampang Cultural Village.
The Dayak Kenyah tribe has a livelihood as farmers and craftsmen. The unique culture and life of the people is very interesting to study.
After every harvest, the Dayak Kenyah tribe holds a harvest party which is held regularly every year. Every Christmas and New Year's Day, the Dayak Kenyah tribe organizes art performances and traditional dances, such as the Kacet Lasan dance, the Datu Jukut dance, and the War dance. Not only that, as a craftsman community, this tribal community also makes statues, bead crafts, and traditional Dayak Kenyah clothing that we can bring as souvenirs.
attraction for tourists. Sungai Bawang Cultural Village is located 40 kilometers from the town of Muara Badak District. The entrance is through the main gate on the side of the Samarinda-Bontang axis road.
The distance from Tenggarong to Sungai Bawang Cultural Village is ± 51 Km. While from Samarinda the distance is 31 Km. or 3 km from Aji Prince Tumenggung Pranoto International Airport. To get to Sungai Bawang Village, you can use ground transportation, namely the Samarinda - Muara Badak bus and stop at the gate to Sungai Bawang Cultural Village. From the gate to the location of the village or lamin, it is ± 7 Km away.
