Emily The Criminal is one of 2022's most overlooked movie. Aubrey Plaza gave the best performance of her career in that movie. If you haven't seen it, you should, it's absolutely great. I wish there was a better studio to market that movie

Aubrey Plaza is such an enigma and truly one of a kind. I recently discovered her work and just can’t get enough of watching her interviews. I think what fascinates me is she breaks all social conventions especially for a celebrity…she’s anxious, confident, awkward but hilarious all at once. You never know what she’s thinking and what’s real or not

I love how sometimes she forgets whether she is in character or herself. She’s hilarious.
I perk up anytime I hear a project with her in it. Why does she inspire us to root hard for her like she's a student trying to make it big instead of an already successful star? That is star quality.
Hmm maybe because she's always in the driver seat of good movies? She picks indies with great stories. And she's awkward/quirky which humanises her much more than the modern day perfect actors (who are boring). We don't have many like her these days.
