It's like you said. It's like the spiritual sucessor of both Sailor Moon and Ojamajo Doremi. It's a magical girl show where they also fight physically instead of only using magic attacks. Currently, there are 14 seasons which are independent from each other (well, except for 2, which are sequels) and like 25 movies. Every year we get a new season and 2 movies, one of them being a crossover between seasons. It's really huge on Japan, I don't know why the hell it isn't huge in the west either.
@@AcetonaSFX Because are kids not aware this series exist in the first place. My niece luckily stomped upon it coicidentially on netflix. Now she's waiting for more seasons to pop up. I would say netflix should adapt more pre cure, but not every parents has netflix for their kids to use. There's also that Netflix doesn't really promote it. At the end it's just marketing I guess.

The two seasons that are available on Netflix are Americanized versions of Smile and DokiDoki Precure, under the label of Glitter Force, since Saban got ahold of the rights at that time. Since Saban disappeared, Toei recovered the rights for international releases, but they're not doing anything; in fact, they seem to push Saint Seiya in the US instead.

Sunny was the first "victim," so there wasn't much she could do, but March used her special attack after she floored Fusion, his speedy recovery was an unpredictable outcome. The fight happens in-universe without the stock footage, so March shot her blast immediately after he went to the ground. Peace uses her lightning after Happy deals a decisive blow on its head and it looks like it lost consciousness for a while. That was the perfect timing to attack, should the opponent have been anyone other than an amorph creature that can't faint with attacks like that and rotate its head 360º. Finally, Beauty went for the back. So far Fusion hasn't shown he could move his head to another part of the body. I was unnecessarily harsh on the girls, they did have the right mindset, unfortunately their opponent was Fusion.
He's called Fusion, and he was born from the 'souls' of all of seasons 1-5 monsters of the week. He was the villain of the first crossover movie and somehow survived its events, and returned as the villain of the fourth one, as seen here. He had absorption abilities in the first movie but I don't know why he literally eats their moves here... Different writers, I guess?
