@@ScreamingEagleFTWI wouldn't say choreography. They have a friendly sparring match so it appears real, then whoever they chose to go down, goes down. But the REAL cheat code here is they bet on it knowing who's gonna win. Lolll. I always said if they made the match based on cash prize we would finally get a real fight. Millions for the winner, zero for the looser.

As far as I know, fights immediately stopped being fixed roughly around the time the Cosa Nostra lost their monopoly on bookmaking services near the second half of the 20th Century due to the RICO Act, and in even larger part to the internet and legalization of sports gambling.
The mobster notorious for his hand in the fixing of virtually every fishy fight during his tenure as a made man was Paul John - otherwise known as Frankie Carbo of the Lucchese Crime Family (circa 1940).
Back in the day, it was estimated that between the Five Families in New York (Bonanno, Lucchese, Gambino, Genovese, and Colombo), the Chicago Outfit, the Philadelphia Crime Family, the Bufalino Family, and the two families run in the south by Carlos Marcello and Santo Trafficante [not to mention the advent of Las Vegas] the fuckin’ mob grifted well over a billion dollars a year for decades during the early and mid 20th Century.

If it is scripted they wouldn't have pushed to get it sanctioned as a pro bout. If it were found to be predetermined or if one of the fighters doesn't put forth a legitimate sporting effort to win the bout, one or both are subject to criminal charges under both state and federal jurisdiction. The State of Texas would definitely investigate and bring charges as it would discredit the State Athletic Commission. Making them look like fools and being detrimental to the State hosting title fights moving forward. Texas is trying to establish itself as a fight State alongside Vegas (NV) and Atlantic City (NJ). So I say still withholding the slightest skepticism, that we will actually see a full effort bout.
