It’s really cool to watch someone reverse the impact scenario and see the pressure points relieve themselves. A true sign of a good body man. Spent some years around a heavy collision shop. Waiting for the next installment.
In a world where everyone is building Chargers, vehcor dares to be different, and builds an Enclave. I loved the dual view on the pulls, that was cool!
This is going to be another interesting build. A low mileage vehicle like this will be a great option for someone looking for reliable transportation at an affordable price. You're not only going to keep it out of the scrap pile but also going to help someone get solid transportation.
@@idontlikecops1 ya but he does really good work and doesn't cut corners. He actually goes the extra mile and puts rust proofing in it then details the car. I would buy a rebuilt car from him anytime.
Nice to see the Car o liner being used for what its meant to do. I'm a panel beater here in the UK and my Car o liner is so clean you can see your face in it. Everything with heavy damage is always written off now.... oh the days of putting in chassis legs and boot floors...
Bought a 2013 Enclave loaded, when the second generation first came out late that same year. Sold it 6-months ago to CarMax with 36,000 miles. Best SUV on the market. Comfortable with the smoothest ride. Bought a 2021 Enclave Avenir right after I sold my old one.
That Enclave would have had a Parts Title (Statutory Write-off) here in Australia and gone to the junk yard. So many repairable vehicles are written off over here for even less damage than the Enclave. Good to see this one being repaired. It will be interesting seeing the progress. All the best from Queensland Australia.
@@froggy0162 We also have repairable write-offs here in Queensland. That would be something like a van with a dented tailgate. But then after repair, you have to take it to a transport inspection station and pay around $450 to have it inspected.
@@BrucePierson This sort of damage would go through as a repairable in Victoria i reckon. Can depend on the assessor a bit I guess. But yes, a VIV inspection is of course needed after repairs, which is good as there are still plenty of dodgy repairers out there!!
Having lived and worked on vehicles in both Texas and Illinois your sarcasm about the different levels of rust is spot on. Enjoy your dry wit and taunting of us in the comments!
23:49 I had an issue removing that bracket from my 2011 Chevrolet Volt. That bracket was riveted in, rather than held by bolts. Probably GM wanted to make sure no one would mistake a Volt with a Bolt. The Volt doesn't have any bolt inside.
Pulling the outside first is always best, it will relieve so much tension from undamaged areas as well as the damaged areas. Easier to pull a strong section back into alignment than loose sheet metal on the inside. I was taught to " reverse the impact".
I know you hate to hear about the old days. I did body work at a less than professional shop. We would have done some pulling. Some hammer and dolly work. And sent it to the body shop. Of course the finest scrap yard replacement parts 🙄. I remember the rule being, bondo couldn't exceed 7/8" in thickness. I'm sure they made a fortune. But I never did. I was young and 5 dollars an hour in 1974 was a lot of gas ⛽ money for cruising. Thanks for sharing the right way to fix cars.

In 1966 I was driving my 59 Impala Bubbletop and T-boned a 60 Olds. Both of us were going to fast for the circumstances, but she ran a yield sign. After the accident the front end of my car was turned to the right. I saw another 59 a week or 2 later that had been t-boned. So the front clip and frame were fine (both cars had an X Frame. I bought it and swapped my body to that frame. IN order to take it apart, I had to use the can opener as most of the. bolts were inaccessible. I was 16 then and not wearing a seat belt. I estimate I was doing between 50 and 60 when I hit. Surprisingly I didn't contact the steering wheel. I'm a believer that at times one can have super human strength. I pushed the gearshift all the way to the dash. Interestingly, to this date, I have. no memory of the accident. I can tell you everything up to the point prior to collision and after I regained consciousness. I can even smell the bakery I drove by when I think about it.
I was about the same age when someone went through a stop sign in front of me, but luckily I was able to brake hard and go around behind them, even after they hit the brakes when I was about to hit them.
I would like to work with you purely to gain knowledge. You are truly a master of your craft sir. I would not hesitate to buy a vehicle rebuilt by you.
Salvage in this case just means the insurance company determined it costs too much to repair. Your gain! 2013 to 2017 Enclaves are the coolest. I have five Salvage Title Copart vehicles: 2007 SAAB 9-3 convertible, 2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue GLS, 2003 Oldsmobile Alero GLS coupe ( with only 20,202 miles!), 2003 Oldsmobile Aurora, and a 2003 Pontiac Bonneville SLE. All repaired to perfection.
This going to be a fun one! You know it’s Friday when you hear the patented V-Scream. Maybe an aerosol Scream can to drown out the haters tear. I enjoyed the rear compartment investigation a precursor to the what’s in my console. It seems so appropriate. Yeah, far from boring. I don’t know anyone who can take a crumpled piece of coal and turn it into a diamond. Super start!
Just another safety third video, absolutely the best part of turning on UA-cam!Looks like more GM steel about to rise from the scrap heap, back onto our roads, awesome
Nice, I'm actually rebuilding a 2018 Enclave for my wife right now, was side swiped down the whole driver's side so I have a similar repair to do on the quarter.
There should be a little motor on top of the apparatus to lower the spear tire down, just push a button and the tire would lower down with out having to use a lug wrench, or power driver.

I'm an A&P mechanic which is an airplane mechanic. When I'm taking of an exhaust stack or alternator we use plastic baggies and then note on the baggies the part & location of the hardware. It's required that we do it that way so we know where the fasteners had gone to and its location. Side note....... All the airplanes that I worked on general aviation aircraft like you're Cessna and Mooney, Piper the alternators that go on the aircraft are all AC DELCO but like Aerotech slaps their sticker on the alternator and charge triple the regular cost. It's all got to do with LIABILITY!!!
I have told this to people and they don't believe me. I have rebuilt dozens of wrecks and many had clean titles. I still let people know that it was wrecked and repaired.
It would have been interesting to see if the Right quarter panel moved with your pulls on the left, Now you have me hanging on till the next video. I hope you filmed it>

No no no, that's not foam, it's part of the VFD! Vehicle Floatation Device! Completely ineffective for it's designed purpose, but works excellently in holding moisture to rot out the vehicles even faster, and therefore allowing manufacturers to sell more vehicles!
