This video was meant to come out a long time ago but I've been sick in bed for the past 3 days, apologies for the delays guys Next video will probably be on the Wagasa or the Katana, you choose!
Can't wait for both. I think I want to see wagasa first cuz all I know how to do with it is parry into throw the umbrella lol. One thing that would be helpful on weapon guides is to go through each of the basic karakuri attacks along with the normal combos (including the differences between using one two and three boxes for jump attacks) and what combos cover from there. So far, it feels to me like weapons build up optimally with karakuri attacks and then have optimal rotations on ground combos when spending it up, and this might be a helpful exercise to explain to the viewer your thoughts on whether any of the karakuri attacks improve the rotation or if the weapon prefers ground attacks and use karakuri for defense or positioning. Thanks again for your work!
awesome video. i will try this weapon for sure . i main the claw blade all the way to endgame. hopefully you can make another video for that weapon as well.
Now is the highest dps weapon in the game. I can finish hunts in less then 5 mins. Even shorter if I got a team with another bow. I do 10k plus with one volley combo that I can chain together about 3 times before u get max gauge to hit ur great sword
Yeah, I noticed that this weapon might be a little bit too strong when a guy joined my endgame hunt and slapped the monsters so hard that they died within seconds.
This weapon is so much fun, and it feels so satisfying to pull off such devastating attacks while also having so much versatility. Also, loved the inclusion of the Pokke Village theme from MHF2 towards the end.
The resurrect talisman cost too high, so I personally preferred sprint master talisman with resurrect boots, so I can add more attack boost in talisman.
You can also cancel the long animations with a basic karakuri, the best one is the torch. You can get 2 bars and on top of that the damage it outputs of that attack is pretty good.
The fastest way to build the gauge is camera locking on the monster, dropping a celestial thread and doing jump > light > R2 > jump cancel upon making contact, repeat, once you get the rhythm of it you'll max your bar lightning fast. A single box jump attack into R2 is also a good supplement, you can continue that attack into a regular combo which is pretty quick. I normally only use regular combos to charge when my bar is about to expire or I only need one or two levels, they are very safe but very slow.
@@Twisted_Feet torch is awesome when it connects, but I have a bit of a skill issue with setting it up unless the monster is downed. Is there a user friendly way to use it consistently for generating bar?
I try to avoid using karakuri since I usually prefer to save them for staggers with crossbow harpoon and traps but you're absolutely right! I still have to trst the torch however. I removed it since none of the fusion karakuri I like use it
@@darkhero2 true, especially for flights like amaterasu where thread is limited, you really want to only use it for harpoon and trap. That's what I was referring to when I mentioned ground combos are slow and safe. Using thread charging is very fast, but it is very dangerous since you do often have to land the giant felling blade without an immobilizer. That said, there are skills that compensate for that: thread Regen (I forget what it is called), ear plugs, stun resistance, sleep strike, fire strike)
STAFF USERS ARE OF ONE MIND. We all can agree that our builds all end up with the same conclusion .. DAMAGE DAMAGE AND MORE DAMAGE . Plus little insurance claim by the name of resurrection.
if youre using stakes (the basic karakuri) i find the best opening to any hunt (that doesnt start with them immediately noticing you) it to run up to and grab onto the monster, use 2 stakes to make a pile driver fusion, jump off the kemono and build a trap fusion directly underneath the kemono trapping it instantly this gives you a massive window before the fight even starts to build gauges and deal damage (also keeps surprise attack in effect if you have that skill) and once you get good at this method you can even build a second trap (anticipating where it goes after breaking free from the first trap) or a harpoon to lock it down for even longer i main wagasa so i usually do a crate attack followed by a trey star combo to instantly get to red gauge before the fight starts, i then attempt to parry the roar to enter my aerial combo
Hand canon is best but you need to upgrade your canon to get the maximum damage among all weapons. Also you should understand how to properly use a canon. When the game gets to chapter 5 the best experience i had was with hand canon hunting the bad ass kemanos after finishing the game.
It’s strong still but against the higher tier monsters that takes less dmg from raw attack power it’s useless against monsters with elemental weaknesses
Bow dps is better, staff is trash, because training dummy doesn't have a defenceman, endgame defence of monsters is too high for the staff to be effective

Thanks for the info. And much appreciated the Monster hunter world background music. 💪🏼

Depends on monsters. Really hard to land this combo when you fight fast and flying monsters. Anyways, it's OP AF.

Good choice of background soundtrack, file island theme is chill
Love the digimon world background music :)
out of all vids, i love them all, this was the hardest to follow.

I actually came to a very similar build on my own but I went for maxing out the One Stroke Fury line. The build is nuts, basically.

That's a handy tips cheers.
convinced me to give this weapon a shot
That “greatsword” made greatsword look like a dagger

I think the torch is the most optimal. It's faster and doing bigger damage with the spin onto slam with the Slight of Hand: Fury skill.

The dummy is not a way to determine DPS it's set to the stats of the deer you get red meat from
The maul triangle spring grapple slam combo is way better build and maxes 9999 dps per hit 3 shotting almost everything
What is this

this gives you a massive window before the fight even starts to build gauges and deal damage (also keeps surprise attack in effect if you have that skill)
and once you get good at this method you can even build a second trap (anticipating where it goes after breaking free from the first trap) or a harpoon to lock it down for even longer
i main wagasa so i usually do a crate attack followed by a trey star combo to instantly get to red gauge before the fight starts, i then attempt to parry the roar to enter my aerial combo
THIS IS THE WAY!
Can this Build works with other weapons like Nodachi ? Or Maul ?
Not stronger than my will 💪 ! ! !
Sadly the crate attack doesnt work with keyboard and mouse
me like big sword, me try. nice video
It's strong but it takes a lot of active gameplay, the other weapons are less stressful
This weapon ain’t for everyone
yeh i think its trash honestly boring way to play..

What is the Name from this swort?
Clever name “ Bola” lol
Smh.. Full force boosts all juggernaut hits even the 4-bar swing off of a spring. People sleep on it so much
I don't think it’s as good personally but it has helped me against some faster kemono in the past
Not gonna lie it definitely made a huge difference in power

The monster hunter music in the background right? Am i crazy?

yes , bow is the best

Why do people always talk about wild hearts as if it's a pc only game??
What do you mean by that? What did I say that made it sound like I'm talking about a PC only game?
