Hello Sir Many thanks. May i Have copy of the your excel file and Also why did you choose limit value instead of list into data validation.

Hi, you choose "List" if you want to create dropdown menu in the cell. In the scenario, I only want to limit the values entered, but not necessarily create a dropdown.
I actually do not have the file in the video anymore. Please follow the video and recreate the file.
      Thank you for watching!

Hi thank you for this, however in risk Matrix's the same value may mean different things. For example, Impact 5 X 1 Likelihood may be red but Impact 1 x 5 Likelihood may be green. How do you format the table so that it is conditional depending on which way round the cell value is put for the likelihood and impact?

Hi, then for that case, you need to create a New Rule for every condition. In conditional formatting, go to New Rule. Create your logical formula using AND to combine logical tests together.

Hi, thank you for doing this tutorial as it helps me a lot. However, I'm struggling to think about how I can make the worksheet readable. Some of my columns like mitigation plan and impact have long statements, thus when I view or scroll my worksheet it I cant view the whole-cell unless I decrease the window size by 80% and below. Is there any way to fix this? thank you. appreciate your knowledge sharing here. thanks a lot

    Hmmm.
I think Column E shouldn’t be called “Priority” but it should be called as “Severity” instead.
Some of these high severity risks could be set aside as they could simply be transferred to another group to resolve. Hence, the priority doesn’t mean much.
Furthermore, until a mitigation, a contingency or a resolution is determined, there is no point for it to be placed as a high priority. Why would you prioritise something before you are able to have an actionable solution for it. Without an actionable work on it, you would just lower its priority and set the risk item aside - making the Column E pointless.
Doesn’t ISO 31000:2018 follow this principle of Severity instead of Priority?
