22:30 Erdogan asked to meet up for dialogue while Assad said he would if Turkish troops withdraw from the border. Assad was not in the place to make such high demand. He played high demanding hand and he lost. People need to know where they stand. Turkish military is capable of deafening Syria Iran and Israel all of together.
I think what the guest said was that withdrawal of troops was not a pre-condition of talks, but what was requested was an indication or commitment that at the end of the peace process (maybe in 5-10 years) there would no longer be Turkish troops in Syria. A reasonable peace settlement should not require the presence of foreign troops after genuine stability and reconstruction has been achieved.
@ perhaps the guest misunderstood Erdogan administration's request july 12th 2025 followed by Putin's meeting with Assad regarding the matter on July 25th 2024 in Moscow in which demonstrated the urgency of the matter. Putin was very well aware of the possible scenarios unfolding as of now, hence Russia did not betrayed Assad regime but rather refused aid consequences Assad's arrogance
The HTS columns stretch many miles. They are undefended and could an still can be taken out. Russia made a deal, they have given up Syria for "peace". Lavrov was very strained to even say Israel was involved. All the lives lost in 2015/2016 in Syria just to trade it away.
Yesterday, last night Russia destroyed the river crossing at the Rastan Bridge. The columns were backed up for miles and trapped.everyone expected them be taken out, it would be a.turkey shoot. But nothing happened. So now we know Russia is not stopping them out of choice.
@@StandinOnBunissThat's why you never let people with other interests guarantee your peace. Unfortunately, the Syrians let their guard down and are paying for it...a much higher price than they bargained for. Local alliances should have been strengthened, better a friend that is close by than a brother that is far away (being very generous calling Russia their brother). Still a tiny possibility that things are not as it seems though. If Syria collapses so easily, I think everyone will know where Russia stands on these matters, and it will be wise for Niger/Mali etc to watch and learn that Russia cannot guarantee their peace (and perhaps have no obligation to).
And where is SAA in all of this? Why are they given orders to retreat from everywhere and they are all going to Damascus? They handed over Aleppo without fighting.Small gang of terrorists takes a 2M city in two days. How? SAA handing over one city after another without resistance. Why? They left even Deir ez-Zor which previously survived for years completely surrounded by terrorists. Why? Syrian air force is also flying, and that column could be easily hit by them and by SAA artillery. And yet they did nothing. Why?
I'm still mad after all these years. If only Russia didn't pursued Syria to accept Turkish proposed Ceasefire that stopping SAA offensive back in 2020.
Russia, china needs a wake up call. You noticed when the SMO started most Russians were calling Ukrainians brothers and sister's. Suddenly they are no longer saying that. NATO needs no troops to destroy China and Russia. They will use jihadists.
And that, combined with how bad things were for Syria, they surely weren’t given much protection for as important their part was in the whole decolonization project. Those forces in IDLIB were far too large and organized for them not to have known about it
It is so lovely - when there are American-Israeli interest on the line everyone is there to help them: Turks, Kurds, Arabs etc. Russia cannot fight the collectiive West alone - Iran want some agreement with the West, China wait for Godot. Like Israel successfully has divided Gaza genocide with war against Hezbollah, US has also successfully divided clash with Russia, Iran and China.
I think there’s another telling regarding Erdogan with these recent clashes. While he wants to capture some territory as belonging to the Turks, on top of dealing with the Kurds and later the Armenians for well known reasons…the biggest take is that Türkiye hasn’t given up on trying to integrate with Europe with these actions, and appear to be dead set on it. As a country straddling on two continents and access to both the Mediterranean and Black Sea, those Neo-Ottoman dreams of power are turning into a reality for those believers.
Btw it was the Turkish drones that equipped with electronic warfare kits that jammed communications of Assad's army. It is interesting why that Armenian forget to mention.
Kevork is absolutely correct about israel setting up Palestinians on Oct. 7th. This is rarely discussed but the israeli empire was waiting/looking for the opportunity.
"Everyone wants to leave. We don't care about our apartments, we don't care about our shops, our businesses, ... we just want to leave. And leave, leave, leave." Well, there's your problem right there, bro. That's how a 2M city falls in 2 days, to a small gang of terrorists. You don't want to fight. But you expect someone from Russia or Iran to come and care more about your apartments, shops, and businesses than you do? If you're not willing to fight, there's nothing anyone can do to help you. What would be the point of it anyway? Who wants to spill blood and treasure only for you to fold again the moment they leave?
TEN POSSIBILITIES | End game in Syria and nearby may be coming within weeks/months. The 10 possibilities listed below I've derived hugely influenced by Kevork Almassian of Syriana Analysis in this video chat. He's said it "with a heavy heart” after over a week of military developments in Syria and political responses, or lack of them, by major and minor powers. .................... Ten Predictions .................... 1. Israel will grab more territory taking it out of Syria, joining it to the Golan Heights. No doubt the Trump regime recognise and support that grab, having already recognised Israel’s multiple land grabs during the first Trump term 2. NATO-member Turkey will take more territory in northern Syria including the country’s second and third biggest cities, Aleppo and Homs 3. Syria’s government may be allowed to survive in Damascus (with no access to oil, transport or resources) 4. Iran will not be able to supply Hezbollah via Syria, and will focus on self-preservation 5. Lebanese communities may experience foreign-influenced increased communal divide and rule, and Israel will perhaps grab the territory up to the Litani River 6. United States will retain its oil-grabbing transport routes and disrupting military forces in Syria as the US’s Zionist masters and Christian Zionist lobby will wish them to do so 7. Russia strained by the ongoing Ukraine special operation may kiss goodbye to its Mediterranean sea base in Syria, expecting that the era of sea battles has been passed by hypersonic and even slower missiles 8. China will experience disruption to its oil supplies but will not be able to do much 9. Gulf emirates and Saudi Arabia will worry about Turkey's neo-Ottomanism rise 10. The Levant and nearby, the oldest regions of Christian habitation on Earth will have virtually no more Christians with years
Seems like it at present. On point 7, Russia has shown it doesn't need bases, or ships or planes, to hit targets anywhere in the world within minutes with its hypersonic missiles/glide vehicles, so it seems like bases, ships and planes are more of a liability these days (maybe that's why they may not be too concerned about pulling out of Syria; they can do anything they want to from the air/space).
Very interesting discussion. It seems there is a method to Erdogan's madness. I just wonder why Russia hasn't done more to help Syria, given that their efforts were relatively successful previously.
Kevork didn't mention the role of the Swiss. Swiss media had 3 "journalists" embedded in Idlib. Jacques Baud, who is now a fanboy in the Circle jerk of pundits on Mainstream Independent Media. Nobody has asked him the hard questions of how come he served in Idlib since 2011, the Donbass since 2014, in the M5 with the Irish Troubles, in the IDF.
Russia is bombing. Where are the ground forces of Syria or Iran? Russia's MoD daily published kill numbers have gone way up (nearly doubled) since the HTS offensive ... it's possible the Syria operation is what accounts for this.
Alawite/Nusayrites minority didn't went into army because they are poor, but it was done by France who ruled Syria as a mandate. Between 1926 and 1939, the Alawites and other minority groups provided the majority of the locally recruited component of the Army of the Levant. Using minorities against majority is a typical tactics of colonial powers.
Let us not forget that in previous conflicts, Iran bore the costs of restoring relative stability in Syria, whether in terms of financing or military force. Assad's approach is beyond wrong. Since 2016, Iran has made great efforts to create a strong and ideological force in Syria, which Syrian and Russian officials have prevented each time.
Not true. Hez and the SAA bore the cost. And again its hez who has to bare the cost of saving Assad. Iran is responsible for the debacle in Syria. How could they not see it coming and prevent it?
So Asad asked the only force who were defending Syria to leave Aleppo!!? What the stupid move😅 oh now I know why Iranian 🇮🇷 didn't show up to defend him again...
I think, Russia wants to have Turkey on it's side, or at least neutral. Because of economical needs, and what is most important not participating in the hot conflict on the side of Ukraine as it was, IMO planned. Starting point had to be events with downed aircraft, helicopter, ambassador, crashing war against Armenians in Karabach...But Russia could escape traps before, only question remains how long and to what point it will be pushed.
There is nothing odd about Lavrov not attacking Turkey. Turkey is BRICS partner state and Turkey and Russia are meeting in Astana to discuss Syria soon.
400 years isn't that long when your history is many thousands of years. Do you think Syria is Turkey? We aren't trying to give Turkey back to Greece because the Turks have occupied it for 1000 years. But maybe we should.
There was no such thing as Syria to be occupied in the time of being. Syria is a regional naming scheme for today’s Syria, Lebanon, Jordan and northern Iraq. It’s geographical name not a state or something like that.
Ppl bashing Russia forget it's alone facing nato plus their non nato vassals that will probably escalate to a direct hot war soon ...there are many issues that they forget ...almost as if they're not honestly concerned about Syria but want to sow chaos and doubt...as if that helps SAA in any way...smh
Have you looked at the Assad’s torture camps underground in Syria!!! Have you heard from one of the freed journalists! Syrians are celebrating all over the world!
@@klardfarkus3891 I mentioned Syria because the subject is about Syria, are you feeling ok? And just to correct you it wasn't only Britain who drew the borders in the middle east. Britain France under Zionist control made the borders in the middle east, Turkiye made it's own borders after ww1.

Once Turkish boots touch foreign ground they don't leave.Kevork is correct.
Thanks.
It sure doesn’t make sense. I find it hard to believe that Russia, China and Iran had no idea this was coming, and I’m talking from years ago. It’s hard to believe they could underestimate the intentions of the imperialists.
China could at least have tried to help Syria out of the grinding poverty of sanctions. They don't seem to have any solidarity
Yehhhh!!! Kevork👏👏👏
NO BRICS for Turkey!
Ohh WoooW-I’m glad I found this channel I used to water Cross-Talk with Peter Lavelle before RT got disconnected in UK, Massive Fan of Peter and George…AWESOME..🤙
EDIT-I wonder that was the plan to take over Aleppo/Homs and hand Israel big chunk of land..I agree with Kevork Almassisn fully..imo
Israel has already said Syria is part of greater Israel so is part of Saudi Arabia. Lol 😂😂😂
The sad occupation and ethnic cleansing of Yugoslavia by NATO, of Afghanistan (by US- supported Taliban), of Gaza (by Israel) and of Syria (by US, Turkey and Israel).
Taliban aren't US puppets
This is truly looking like a lost cause. Not just in Syria, but the entire region. I feel like Russia and Turkey have a plan together. I think Iran is totally isolated now and like Kevork said, all is lost in Palestine as well.
Putin and his idiotic "dealmaking" from winning positions. Minsk 1, 2, Astana, Istanbul all failed. The Trump deal will be violated and they will act like this has never happened.
It's also possible the Iranians are part of the new deal. How could they not see that coming?
It really feels like hopeless and lost cause now, once that happens.
I bet People that supporting Palestine but cheering on Syrian government fall and occupation by terrorist, will regretted what they have done and they can say goodbye to Palestinian cause as well.
@@StandinOnBuniss You know, I had long suspected it but I tried to put that out of my mind, but I'm obviously not the only one who sees it that way. I thought I was being too NYC cynical maybe or something. But it's starting to really lean in that direction. I don't have a dog in this fight directly but I would be lying if I said it's not depressing seeing all of it. I'm close to not even clicking on any videos about this anymore. How long can one sit and watch this? It's been a long time that I only watch the resistance report segment of Electronic intifada. I don't get enjoyment from seeing all the children being purposely liquidated. This is bad.
@@alifm40DS That's absolutely what I'm thinking. And if Iran was part of this agreement that I think Turkey and Russia have, it's basically written in stone.
Honestly, no movie or Netflix show is as intricate and interesting as the geopolitical games developing now... What a rabbit hole...
I think this is why Russian is evacuating its navy ships from port of Syria.
Hello George, I admire your mind and your personal integrity. Is there a way to speak with you! All the best, great Show, thank you for your new channel!
But, isn't it funny, Erdogan only wants to defeat Al-Assad, he is big friends with Netanyahoo.
Sure looks like it
Yesterday, last night Russia destroyed the river crossing at the Rastan Bridge. The columns were backed up for miles and trapped.everyone expected them be taken out, it would be a.turkey shoot. But nothing happened. So now we know Russia is not stopping them out of choice.
@@pt17171 also in Aleppo they took forever before targeting the rebels. They could have taken them out much earlier
Why?
Russia’s performance in Syria is embarrassing
I'm still mad after all these years.
If only Russia didn't pursued Syria to accept Turkish proposed Ceasefire that stopping SAA offensive back in 2020.
@@alifm40DS putin repeats his idiotic pattern of signing contracts again and again, to just be betrayed AGAIN!
Those forces in IDLIB were far too large and organized for them not to have known about it
They're currently tied up in Ukraine. What can you expect from them?
Kevork was the only one whose analysis was spot on. All others were wrong. Well done
I like his accent
Those people who fought against Ottomans were collaborating with the Western imperialists.
Ottomans were pure evil. Good riddance.
As I am watching this video news are coming in that Homs has already fallen. How utterly depressing.
Russia is not as strong militarily as the commentators said it is to keep both the Ukraine and Syria going
Unbelevebal! excellent!
"Everyone wants to leave. We don't care about our apartments, we don't care about our shops, our businesses, ... we just want to leave. And leave, leave, leave."
Well, there's your problem right there, bro.
They’re too drugged up to fight
TEN POSSIBILITIES | End game in Syria and nearby may be coming within weeks/months. The 10 possibilities listed below I've derived hugely influenced by Kevork Almassian of Syriana Analysis in this video chat. He's said it "with a heavy heart” after over a week of military developments in Syria and political responses, or lack of them, by major and minor powers.
....................
Ten Predictions
....................
1. Israel will grab more territory taking it out of Syria, joining it to the Golan Heights. No doubt the Trump regime recognise and support that grab, having already recognised Israel’s multiple land grabs during the first Trump term
2. NATO-member Turkey will take more territory in northern Syria including the country’s second and third biggest cities, Aleppo and Homs
3. Syria’s government may be allowed to survive in Damascus (with no access to oil, transport or resources)
4. Iran will not be able to supply Hezbollah via Syria, and will focus on self-preservation
5. Lebanese communities may experience foreign-influenced increased communal divide and rule, and Israel will perhaps grab the territory up to the Litani River
6. United States will retain its oil-grabbing transport routes and disrupting military forces in Syria as the US’s Zionist masters and Christian Zionist lobby will wish them to do so
7. Russia strained by the ongoing Ukraine special operation may kiss goodbye to its Mediterranean sea base in Syria, expecting that the era of sea battles has been passed by hypersonic and even slower missiles
8. China will experience disruption to its oil supplies but will not be able to do much
9. Gulf emirates and Saudi Arabia will worry about Turkey's neo-Ottomanism rise
40:40 Gaggle team was Not happy about that statement 🤨
Kevork can´t you see the writings on the wall it´s over for Assad´s Syria
Kevork didn't mention the role of the Swiss. Swiss media had 3 "journalists" embedded in Idlib. Jacques Baud, who is now a fanboy in the Circle jerk of pundits on Mainstream Independent Media. Nobody has asked him the hard questions of how come he served in Idlib since 2011, the Donbass since 2014, in the M5 with the Irish Troubles, in the IDF.
They murdered raisi nasrallah, sinwar Assad is the last of the righteous Old guard.
They keep saying turkey backstabbed but looks like actually Russia did.
Russia is bombing. Where are the ground forces of Syria or Iran? Russia's MoD daily published kill numbers have gone way up (nearly doubled) since the HTS offensive ... it's possible the Syria operation is what accounts for this.
Agree. Russia betrayed Syria and Iran to the zionists
nonsense
@21:10 that was the turning point for Assad
@StandinOnBuniss they've been a little preoccupied lately?
@@StandinOnBuniss You have no idea what you're talking about. Cut the crap.
The question remains, does Russia take control of Latakia?
If Syria falls apart Alawites would be smart to create their own country in Latakia.

So Asad asked the only force who were defending Syria to leave Aleppo!!? What the stupid move😅 oh now I know why Iranian 🇮🇷 didn't show up to defend him again...
the bad guys are winning, dark days ahead
Very sad. (🙏) But have to laugh at Kevork's description of the .... "think-tankers"
Game over. Good tried, did not win. Evil prevail. God help us.
There is nothing odd about Lavrov not attacking Turkey. Turkey is BRICS partner state and Turkey and Russia are meeting in Astana to discuss Syria soon.
End of the line for cecular middle East courtesy of the west. Tragic.
Most likely Russia and Iran will withdraw from Syria.
Assad has fled Damascus.
He is now Doctor Igor Assadov in Novosibirsk
He said Ottomans "occupied" Syria for 400 years, wow.
Then every nation on earth is "occupied".
400 years isn't that long when your history is many thousands of years. Do you think Syria is Turkey? We aren't trying to give Turkey back to Greece because the Turks have occupied it for 1000 years. But maybe we should.
Yes, occupied. Ottomans were invaders that subjugated other people and they were never welcome anywhere.
There was no such thing as Syria to be occupied in the time of being. Syria is a regional naming scheme for today’s Syria, Lebanon, Jordan and northern Iraq. It’s geographical name not a state or something like that.
@@alterego157who told you that?

Sykes Picot
The British drew the map for the entire Middle East, not just Syria. Turkey was drawn as the remnant of the Turkish empire.
