I’m a Child Psychiatrist, nearly 25 years out of medical school, and I love watching Dr. Butler work, teach, and interact with patients. I never fail to learn something from him. I only wish I had rotated with him at McGill all those years ago. 🙂
Dr Butler, I want to apologize for a comment I made a couple of weeks ago. I thought that a patient of yours was not adequately heard when she was in pain. I went back and watched about 50 of your videos. I learned a whole lot about all the different growths and conditions of the skin. Also, I appreciate your bedside manner and your humor. I think it's wonderful that you put your patients at ease. You are very knowledgeable and your videos are always something I enjoy watching. I know I'm going to learn something and after 50 videos, I'm starting to like the sound of your voice. 😊 Take care, Dr. Keep on poppin'. You know, when you say that the patient's going to sleep better that night, I feel relieved for that patient too. 🩵
I love how calm Dr voice is too, how he does such an excellent job of explaining while working. I'd like to see what the patients look like after they have healed.😊
I’ve never seen anyone cut these out surgically! Anyway, you are one of the best teachers ever. Any resident that trains under your tutorage will be a wonderful doctor.😊❤
Dr. Butler, your videos are my absolutely favorite ones of all. I am an RN and I love the way you teach the residents. Quite informative for me as well!!!😊
I'm a retired Registered Nurse and I love watching your work Dr Butler. You not only have a wonderful bedside manner (as we used to call it 😉) but your skill is second to none. I wish I had worked with you. Cheers from Amanda in Melbourne, Australia
Such great teaching for residents..I m glad you told the guy waiting patiently 🇨🇦🙏Was worried he would be scarred but your work is fantastic! The stitching is a work of art in itself 👍
I’d like to thank F. Murray Abraham for not only sharing Dr. Butler with us, but for withstanding the trauma of PND. Great video, and thank you for sharing with us your work. I hope many students have the opportunity to receive your kind and thorough procedures.
So PROFESSIONAL 🏆🏆🏆 I appreciate that you covered the eye, as I've had multiple eye issues: Sjogren's Syndrome, corneal transplant... You're GREAT👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I was so happy to see a video from you Dr Butler. You're an amazing doctor and teacher. Love love love all that you share with us, thank you and God Bless you always. Also loved the end results 😊😊😊
Your work is fantastic Dr Butler, you explain things so well it's a joy to listen. You're so kind and gentle, everyone is fortunate to have you as their Dr. 😊
I've never see follow up videos from you, this is the first one. Thank you so much for doing this. Love you Dr. Butler! I've been watching maybe 6 years. .xoxoxox Hi From Fort Myers FL!
When I was a kid you wore that type of scar with pride ...... You were badass. And most kids had a scar ..... Cos we played rough - climbing trees, diving off rocks, home made catapults, homemade go carts, roller skating
Out of genuine curiosity, why did you decide to remove the section of skin as opposed to individually excising the "stones" so to speak? Regardless, enjoyable video as always!
I don't think I explained this well enough in the video but the entire area was thickened secondary to scarring. This is what led to the excision as apposed to the cysts themselves.
Very nicely done as per usual Dr. Butler, always concerned with patient comfort and potential outcome for the patient. This surgical scar is really healing nicely, nicer than I would have thought it would. I really enjoy the follow up photos, I love to see how beautifully the incision is healing and in this case, I feel the scarring is minimal. It is a breath of fresh air to watch a physician more concerned with a good outcome versus one that enjoys the “blood and guts” in any event, many thanks for sharing this most informative video with us, I know it is quite time consuming what with filming, editing, and all the post production “stuff” Enjoy your weekend and upcoming week, looking forward to your next video!! Many thanks!
I love watching your videos Dr. Butler. You explain the what's and why's in a way that non medical people like myself can easily understand. I would like to see more of your videos contain the followups with your patients like you have supplied in this video as I (and I'm sure a lot of other viewers) are so invested in the well-being of your patients want to see the end result and how your patients are fairing after their procedures. Thank you for sharing your work with us!
Eye covering can be very helpful to the paytient. For myself as a patient it calms me and is easier to disassociate myself from the procedure, transforms the dentist experience wearing small sunglasses, or even egg shaped eye shields.
❤ wow thank you and this gentleman for sharing this. This is absolutely amazing looking. And the care you took with keeping the scar down to a minimum.
What a fantastic job. You explain everything so well, brilliant doctor. I wish my mum would have been able to see you. She had a cancerous growth removed from her nose and he made a terrible mess of it. She collapsed on the stairs when I took her home she was traumatised it was so painful and she’s been left with such a large bumpy scar, I feel so sad for her.
Dr Butler, a great teacher teaches by example, both good & how you can do a procedure better. Your example of having to correct an incision & what they should do differently is something that will make them better physicians & happier patients.🩵🩵
Fantastic as always! In terms of wound care following a procedure on a non-infected field like this, do you have any recommendations for what to clean the area with? I would tend to just wash with saline on my patients as iodine seems a little overkill, but it would be nice to have some other options!
I keep things pretty basic. I don't use iodine unless I'm worried about infection. There are a lot of good wound products depending on how things progress.
The description detail is Fascinating to an armchair 'student' like me😉I have a better understanding of some of the procedures I've seen in many videos. Thanks👍🏼‼️
This was a huge incision on his face for just a couple small cysts that could have been popped out with a smaller incisions. Man I hope it didn't mess up his face too badly, I'd like to see a follow-up.
I’m a Child Psychiatrist, nearly 25 years out of medical school, and I love watching Dr. Butler work, teach, and interact with patients. I never fail to learn something from him. I only wish I had rotated with him at McGill all those years ago. 🙂
Fantastic work of art Dr. Butler.

Very nice comment 👍🏻
It's nice to apologize and be positive 🏆
I wish more people had your values 🌞
Well done friend. ❤❤❤
Thanks Carly, I appreciate that. Sometimes the procedures aren't perfect but I always aspire for them to be so.
I love how calm Dr voice is too, how he does such an excellent job of explaining while working. I'd like to see what the patients look like after they have healed.😊
Spectacular work! Great video. Thanks!
Wow. I was surprised to see these cut completely out. The Dr. got rid of the scars around them too. Great job.
It is so good to see some follow up footage after a procedure, especially to the face. Thank you
I’ve never seen anyone cut these out surgically! Anyway, you are one of the best teachers ever. Any resident that trains under your tutorage will be a wonderful doctor.😊❤
Yes. So unusual to see them come out intact.
When you had it marked, I thought, no way, too big. But seeing the follow-ups, wow, great job! He’s right in saying he’s a fast healer!

Thanks for the ‘after’ bit too, it makes the videos extra beneficial.

😂 Good one!
So PROFESSIONAL 🏆🏆🏆
I appreciate that you covered the eye, as I've had multiple eye issues: Sjogren's Syndrome, corneal transplant...
You're GREAT👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
You're soo patient while the residents are learning❤
Technology has come a long way .I appreciate being able to view these procedures .
The best job of stitching I've ever seen. The artist painting with his brush.
I was so happy to see a video from you Dr Butler. You're an amazing doctor and teacher. Love love love all that you share with us, thank you and God Bless you always. Also loved the end results 😊😊😊

What a lovely voice this patient has!
Your suture work is beautiful doctor.
I love the patient's deep, resonant voice.
These stitches look very nice.
That is one chill patient! Brave, too!
So good to see the follow up results and various stages of healing! That last pic wow it healed so neatly, you can hardly see it. Very impressive!
Well done, Dr. Butler. A timeless video. You truly are the best. Greetings from Minnesota.
Excellent job Doc B! And particular thanx for the follow up. Seeing the process from start to finish really demystifies it and makes it not as scary.
I like when u r waiting til he comes back a few days later. Ty doc. Ur awesome
A very amazing doctor/teacher. On a scale of 1-10 with ten being the best, he scores 50,000.
I've never see follow up videos from you, this is the first one. Thank you so much for doing this. Love you Dr. Butler! I've been watching maybe 6 years. .xoxoxox Hi From Fort Myers FL!
Jyÿÿÿÿÿt44⁴y⁷⁷rttirùðdiŕŕrrŕv 😅😅😊😊 10:01 😮
You are a great surgeon , you are so kind and do great work .I really like that you show us the follow up to show how it heals .
Really good to see the progression of the healing post surgery. Thank you.
Amazing the composition of the skin itself. So thick!
When I was a kid you wore that type of scar with pride ...... You were badass. And most kids had a scar ..... Cos we played rough - climbing trees, diving off rocks, home made catapults, homemade go carts, roller skating
Seeing the followups at the end really gives you appreciation on how the body can heal itself over time.
Awww, I thought that he was going to pop them.
You're amazing Dr. Butler. Thank you for helping this man.
Great work as usual ❤😊
Love the follow ups showing the healing over time!
Wonderful job. Healed up beautifully.
Out of genuine curiosity, why did you decide to remove the section of skin as opposed to individually excising the "stones" so to speak? Regardless, enjoyable video as always!
He explained it at the beginning of the video remember?
I don't think I explained this well enough in the video but the entire area was thickened secondary to scarring. This is what led to the excision as apposed to the cysts themselves.
Beautiful. What a difference.
His face looks great. Good job doc.
Love the follow ups!

Phenomenal work! Thank you for sharing. Your patient looks fabulous.

Very well done procedure, and I'm fascinated with your suturing.
Expert removal, stitching and follow up. Great video!
Oh my goodness! Look at those blackheads! Please make that your next video!
Yesss!!!!😂
He is not a dermatologist
I would want to be asleep for this. 😮
I love this Doctor!
Any residual scarring will add interest to this gentleman's dashing good looks. Many thanks to him for sharing. Great technique as usual.
I couldn't agree more. Perfection would be achieved with a visit to Enilsa Brown for a few gently removed blackheads. Sorry I'm a popaholic 😂.
I keep thinking of stunt double for Johnny Depp/Pirates of the Caribbean.
@@mousiebrown1747 I can see your point mousie but Johnny is pretty gorge!
Fascinating. Never saw anything like this.thank you.
Great job Dr. Butler. Another interesting video👏
I really appreciated the stitching on this. Good job doc!😊
Dr. Butler, do you ever do scar revision? Would love to see you do a video on suture allergies, complications, etc. and how they are treated.
Yes. These cases are always specific unto themselves but you can have good results.
I so enjoy your videos Very clean and professional. Thank you 🙏
Incredible transformation
I’m a electric utility worker, but I love watching these videos 😂 “get the number 11 blade for me please”
I don’t think you had to cut such a large piece out . Scarred for life
I love the follow-ups! Great video!
Extremely skillful surgeon

That's too bad Beverley.
Beautiful!
Those are some beautiful stitches. I always learn something new watching your videos. Thanks to you and your patient for sharing with us.🙂

I've seen the bunching stitches your talking about and wondered if that was best.

This was a huge incision on his face for just a couple small cysts that could have been popped out with a smaller incisions. Man I hope it didn't mess up his face too badly, I'd like to see a follow-up.
