So proud of Lewis. He was so happy and excited to do this and he did so well. His passion was evident and the whole thing gave me chills. As someone with a degree in vocal performance, sometimes it's not the amount of training or talent a person has that makes a performance, it's the amount of heart you put into it that will surge into the audience. Gutted that I missed the stream because of work, but happy to see the vod. Don't stop singing, Lewis!
1:16:56 and 1:47:24. If Robbie sees this; I'd be surprised if you do remember me but we went to the same school and had a few mutual friends. Even played in the same youth group band for a brief time. It was cool seeing someone I know from years ago with the yogs who I've been watching religiously since 2010 so thought I'd throw out an old reference. Glad he saw it, even if it was only as it was getting wiped

Holy crow, it’s my playlist! I literally added the songs as they were singing it on the livestream, and I was debating on adding the short improv songs they did (Bread of Heaven, etc.) Regardless, I’m definitely adding O Rubber Tree, The Commodore 1864, and Fish in the Sea. Thank you so much! (Also, I was planning on a playlist for Day 14, but I slept halfway through the stream, dangit!)
As a fan of these two groups separately, I thought these two Bristol groups should team up. I am ecstatic. And I need an album version of this team up so much!!!

Please do this again next year! This was actually the most fun I've had in such a long time- I'm sure I'm not the only one who sang along at home and has watched parts of this over again.
Never heard of the Longest Johns before and incredibly thankful to find out about them on Jingle Jam. It was such a pleasure to hear their singing and they seemed like great lads, good chemistry with the Yogs as well. Loved the songs and the banter, would definitely love to see more of them!
The karaoke stream were always my favorite and now they're backed up by such an amazing professional group makes it even more amazing. Very adequate in the meme sense indeed!
This stream was so good, definitely one of the highlights of this years Jingle Jam. And big claps to everyone who took part, was great seeing everyone sing
This video confirmed two things for me: 1. I need a group of British lads to hang out, sing shanties and drink a pint with; 2. It needs to be The Longest Johns. This was so much fun! Very adequate! P.S. please come to the west coast US!
I grew up watching Yogscast and found the Longest johns a few years ago this meetup makes me so happy like I cannot explain how happy! I was smiling the entire way through thank you for making a Christmas wish come true both groups!
I love the harmony of their voices! They are so talented!! Out of all the performances I've seen from these guys, the ones they did during the Jingle Jam is some of the best I've seen! Other sea shanties feel so empty after listening to these guys. They give each sea shanty so much power and feeling! Also Lewis and everyone else did SO WELL during the group songs! Lewis gave his all during Northwest Passage and it was so awesome to see him having so much fun! Also Grussy.
Still my favorite stream of the year, maybe of all time. Keep coming back cause holy shit these are some jams. Mad props to everyone that made this happen and I pray they will be back next time!
You can always start trying! Work songs and sea chanties are common man songs, anyone can start singing. You and I might never hit the harmonies they do together but we can still have fun doing this sort of stuff.
i've been watching through some of Tom&Ben's Warhammer streams, and there was some mention at the start of the year I think, of some tendrils being cast out towards the yogs by the Longest Johns (and maybe vice versa), and T&B didn't know of them at the time, so it's really nice to see it all culminate in a jingle jam collab. really nice stream, greatenergy, and so fun to see so many of the yogs up for jumping on.
im sure this will get demonitised but seriously this is one of my favorite streams of this year. also they 100% sound better here than on some of the album versions i've heard o.O how is that possible lol
my dad used to tell me a drop of nelsons blood was about the crew storing admiral nelsons body in a barrel of rum or whiskey or something hence a drop of nelson's blood wouldn't do us any harm.
I’ve recently been obsessed with Over The Hills and Far Away and I can express the pure joy I felt when my favorite band unexpectedly began singing it. I am so stupidly happy right now.
Achievement Unlocked! And We'll All Hang On Behind Perform "Drop of Nelson's Blood" with at least 5 people. I'm currently thinking up achievements for every song in this stream.

I loved Lewis leading NW passage. It was my favorite part of this stream and I re-watch that part over and over. 49:14 for anyone interested

Hearing "Barrett's Privateers" on the Yogscast when Im from Halifax is pretty heartwarming
The Johns did an amazing job coaxing Lewis through Northwest Passage and he handled himself most adequately.
As a fan of these two groups separately, I thought these two Bristol groups should team up. I am ecstatic. And I need an album version of this team up so much!!!
I've watched this about a billion times since it came out. It has become my comfort video tbh
This whole stream was amazing; special shoutout to Daf for an amazing rendition of Can You Feel the Love Tonight!
I love how when they're doing Nelson's Blood, it's the line "Yogscast choir wouldn't do us any harm" that trips EVERYBODY up. Glorious
"And another fucked up cadence will not do us any harm..."
It could have worked: "And a little choir of Yogs wouldn't do us any harm", "And a chorus of the Yogs..."...
Boba looks so confused during that song.
@@GrandiaKnight I imagine she really just hoped she wasn't picked to make up the next line

Damn, Lewis. You did a great job with Northwest Passage! Always a joy to listen to the Longest Johns, as well. Steady on, mates!
Never heard of the Longest Johns before and incredibly thankful to find out about them on Jingle Jam. It was such a pleasure to hear their singing and they seemed like great lads, good chemistry with the Yogs as well. Loved the songs and the banter, would definitely love to see more of them!
Go for it Lewis! Sometimes it's not about how good you are, just that you're enthusiastic and get involved. Fucking nailed it.
I've now watched this vod 4 times, start to finish and it's become my background music throughout the day because it makes me feel all the happies
The Longest Johns singing Diggy Diggy Hole is everything I ever wanted. Perfectly adequate. Now do it with Wind Rose.
That pleasure elf was way too much of a banger.
Lewis: "Five Minute Break."
*One classic Yogs "Five Minute" break later*
this performance of santiana is absolutely minted. loving the dissonant chords at the end :)
This video confirmed two things for me: 1. I need a group of British lads to hang out, sing shanties and drink a pint with; 2. It needs to be The Longest Johns. This was so much fun! Very adequate! P.S. please come to the west coast US!
Been a fan of the longest johns for at least 3 years, and of the yogscast for about 8. What an amazing collab. Loving it
I grew up watching Yogscast and found the Longest johns a few years ago this meetup makes me so happy like I cannot explain how happy! I was smiling the entire way through thank you for making a Christmas wish come true both groups!
Such a magical stream. Gonna be coming back to this video again and again to have a sing-along :)
Well done all very entertaining, the choir sounded great and super to see The Longest Johns - Merry Christmas 🎄 all.
I love the harmony of their voices! They are so talented!! Out of all the performances I've seen from these guys, the ones they did during the Jingle Jam is some of the best I've seen! Other sea shanties feel so empty after listening to these guys. They give each sea shanty so much power and feeling!

caught the last couple songs live, so great to watch the whole thing now
Still my favorite stream of the year, maybe of all time. Keep coming back cause holy shit these are some jams. Mad props to everyone that made this happen and I pray they will be back next time!
Sometimes I'm sad I can't do something like that with my mates.
You can always start trying! Work songs and sea chanties are common man songs, anyone can start singing. You and I might never hit the harmonies they do together but we can still have fun doing this sort of stuff.
We all lift was what got me into the John's so it is nice to see them on this channel which was and continues to be so important to me
Love these guys, shame I missed the actual stream
This is just amazing! Love The Longest Johns, love the Yogs, match made in heaven ❤
i've been watching through some of Tom&Ben's Warhammer streams, and there was some mention at the start of the year I think, of some tendrils being cast out towards the yogs by the Longest Johns (and maybe vice versa), and T&B didn't know of them at the time, so it's really nice to see it all culminate in a jingle jam collab. really nice stream, greatenergy, and so fun to see so many of the yogs up for jumping on.
Lewis: *not much of a singer*
Also Lewis: "Sure, fuck it. I'll sing."
lewis' whole life has been a success of "sure fuck it" mentality and we
im sure this will get demonitised but seriously this is one of my favorite streams of this year.
also they 100% sound better here than on some of the album versions i've heard o.O how is that possible lol
drop of nelson's blood was the best song omg. everyone participating
By far the best jingle jam session :D
This was totally Adequate, October 10th would watch again!
So sad I missed this live, was still great to watch the VoD though!
Dr. Simon's voice is AMAZING! Who knew?
isnt he in a choir through his university or something?
And Daf!
Fucking bless Lewis. Belting his hear out for charity! What a legend.
Oh my goodness, they're phenomenal. Thanks, gents!
my dad used to tell me a drop of nelsons blood was about the crew storing admiral nelsons body in a barrel of rum or whiskey or something hence a drop of nelson's blood wouldn't do us any harm.
I love this stream! Man, I wish I could sing with them.
I actually cried when they sung The Parting Glass.
I’ve recently been obsessed with Over The Hills and Far Away and I can express the pure joy I felt when my favorite band unexpectedly began singing it. I am so stupidly happy right now.
my two favorite UA-cam Groups together.
i would love a jongest johns stream feat. whoever is in the office to replace the karaoke streams now that twitch sings has gone
Amazing stream! Absolutely loved it!
2:12:40
Now that's soldiering!
Achievement Unlocked!
And We'll All Hang On Behind
Perform "Drop of Nelson's Blood" with at least 5 people.
I'm currently thinking up achievements for every song in this stream.
Simon Clark and the longest is increble. I'm now going to see the longest jons in Edinburgh after this performance. Can't wait.
Highest to lowest enjoyment:
- Smith
- Lewis
- Longest Johns
- Everyone else
- Gemma
Smith did look incredibly happy and it warmed my heart.
daff seemed pretty happy to me too. it was nice seeing smith so happy since he's usually so miserable lmao
Doctor Simon Clark (he has a PhD) looked like he had an awesome time, though!
I like seeing how into it Smith is, reminded me that he used to be in a folk band lmao
These lads are incredible
1:47:51 "We do some french songs." Lewis: "Rubber tree."
Was that a clever play on words involving "french letter"?
1:07:11 We all lift together.
Wonderful performance. I enjoyed them all 100%! However, I didn’t see the finale for which David invited everyone back.
Long live the Yogs Castaways!
i'm obsessed with ben's supportive dad energy in wellerman and nelsons bloood
I reckon John Tams might've got a little chuckle out of Over the Hills and Far Away
I still come back to tthis! amazing!
Please make this an annual Jingle Jam event 🙏
sad i didn't catch this live but damn am i enjoying the vod
Without a doubt the best drop of Nelsons blood ever!
I still hear a fairytale of sipsco when I hear that song haha
Sitting here, hoping to see this in JingleJams 2022 :D
Most ambitious cross over in history!
It would be great if this could be passed on but I really want Lewis to know that 2 years later I still listen to this for his amazing performance of Northwest Passage.
I absolutely loved this entire segment and would love for more of this, but Lewis really moved me.
Well, I hope these bois come back this year, this was awesome.
Yogscast The Musical
Starring Brad Dourif as Lewis and BRIAN BLESSED and Simon
All your harmonies are so beautiful
"and another million pounds for the yogscast jingle jam" wouldve been a good verse for a drop of nelson's blood :P
I watched the first 30 minutes of this then had to go. I'm so sad this was great
in santiana i believe the higher accompaniment part was louder than meant to be, but it sounded so good
like i really enjoyed hearing those alternate melodies
1:33:24 YES!!
Well now i kinda want an official Yogscast x Longest Johns Diggy Diggy Hole if they can find the time to fully arrange it.
Surprised they didn't release this as a live album of sorts
1:37:37 And We'll roll the ol' chariot along
Northwest Passage was amazing!
"I'm in charge so we can run over as long as we want" is the same mentality I had with student societies I ran lol
opened some Kraken black spiced rum to this - only felt appropriate
Ive seen this 5+ times, lost count. SOOOOO GOOOD
Edit: 10+ times now
wellerman is great but my favorite is still randy dandy oh
Hard to decide whether TLJ or Wind Rose covered diggy diggy hole better
There was a certain dwarf missing from Diggy Diggy hole tho...
Daf is tha GOAT
This stream was awsome
I would've loved to see Simon for diggt diggy hole. But for covid reasons or personal reasons it prolly wasn't possible. But it would've been awesome
HOW did this stream slip right by me??? The best fuckin stream of the JJ (Well, top 5 for sure)
Was not planned, covered for sick hay boyz
Lewis rockin them hammertime slacks
Damn Simon Was great!
This might be the rudest thing TLJ has ever been involved in, and I am all here for it
Somethings not right about diggy diggy hole w/o Simon.
drsimonclark kinda cute
Daf is such a heartthrob
20:30 the Dr. looks so small!
hope the next bristol band they get is IDLEs
Fun fact: It is Illegal to go whaling in the Ohio River
