On OSS Suppressors: We found that OSS suppressors have enough flash that they auto gate our NODs on every shot. If you shoot at night you might want to try before you buy.
Look into Bootleg Adjustable Gas Carriers. They have 4 positions that turn with a flathead through the ejection port, each position having a detent-secured locator. It’s a drop-in solution without any of the cons of typical adjustable gas blocks. I run them fully-choked suppressed with high efficiency TBAC cans on 12” ARs. The gas flow reduction from the ejection port is noticeable.
I have a OSS HX7.62Ti currently in jail. I bought it for my SCAR17, but I plan on getting a few 1/2 x 28 muzzle devices and running it on my non-adjustable AR's as well (at least until I can get a dedicated 5.56 can). I'm excited to get it out of jail, but likely will have to wait another 6 months or so.
John, I often see videos on UA-cam where someone buys a new rifle and starts by testing different boxes of commercially available ammo through it! They always come to a conclusion that "Box X" is what the rifle prefers and leaves it at that! I personally would have preferred a much more detailed explanation including OAL of all the ammo used along with details of the rifles chamber (how far off the lands were each manufacturers rounds etc). Then maybe pulling a few bullets and seating them differently in the rounds that didn't perform as well, they may have got that "losing ammo" to perform better? I know most of those reviewers would never go to such lengths, what do you think?
First, it’s “David Tubb”. There is no (s) in his last name. I am going to guess you have never actually interacted with him, so I don’t know why you keep dropping his name. David is an expert in many things. I have never seen him claim to be an expert in silencer selection or tactical application of suppressed carbines. I am also curious as to why you think my marksmanship needs help. 😂
Seems to be a large frame AR. I don’t have any info beyond that. There are a lot of companies putting out large ARs. Some are good, some are not so good.
The cool thing about OSS silencers is that the ATF classifies a silencer as any device that changes, hides, or lessens the report of a firearm. As OSS cans don't do any of those, technically they should be tax free. :)
I like how you wrap the sling.
Welcome back!
Man, I really miss Mail Call Mondays! Learned a lot from this channel. Hope he comes back soon.
Really wish you would bring back mail call Mondays! Have learned so much from your channel.
Just thinking last night, where 8541 tactical been? Glad to see ya back
Agreed. John’s real jobs must be keeping him busy
Suppressor pressure testing results would be great to see John. Great review, once again.
Just want to say, I really enjoy many of your videos! They're really educational and to the point! I hope you keep making them!
Personally my favorite suppressor manufacturer is dead air
Happy thanksgiving! Good video - I’d really like An OSS as my next can. Did you go with a 30 cal can or a 5.56?
5.56 in the “K” length.

Is that test done with the flashhider style end cap?
It wasn’t my can, so I’m not sure. We could see the vents. Does that help?
What ammo and barrel length? Those are important variables.
Sage dynamics didn't have any issues with gen 2 cans with flash end cap

I can't believe you still make content or that you still call this mail call monday
I actually uploaded this Sunday expecting to publish Monday, but UA-cam took its sweet time during the appeal.
I like my JK Armament.
Currently have the OSS can in jail. Would like to see the comparison between the OSS & Silencerco cans.
2:30 “Look, it’s the Dead Air Xeno!”
Hope you do more videos of the m40a1 im cloning a m40a3 kinda

We just got a P R -X08. Rife any information on this multiple cal gun ? Thanks
Get with a guy named David Tubbs. He will get you sorted out with your equipment in no time. He can give you some marksmanship advise too.

You’re killing me over here! Ha ha!
Silencer or Suppressor?
Practically, they suppress the report of the weapon. Technically and legally, they are silencers.
Anybody running a Banish30?
No
