  • Right now it's too cold in the mancave for scalemodelling, so I started a small side project instead - a USB foot controller for my teleprompter!

    The following hardware is needed:
6 pcs of M3x6 (DIN 912) Hex socket cap head screws
    4 pcs of ST2.2x6.5mm self-tapping screws
4 pcs of compression springs 0.7x9x15mm
4 pcs of Cherry MX switches
    40x60mm prototype PCB
    Arduino Pro Micro
    Thanks for watching!

Another electronics project?! Nicely done! In fact really well done - especially the overall mechanical design!
It's been too damp and cold here to do any modelling as well but yesterday the mercury finally went above freezing again so I hope some creativity comes back soon so I can start modelling again...
I tried to abandon Fusion 360 and instead migrate over to Solidworks but they're using a 90's UI and it's painful to operate. Sucks all the creativity out of you when you try to design stuff.
I haven't logged in to smcg for a very long while but I've missed you all so I might pop in later tonight and try to figure out what I've missed... ;)

Thanks! It's really nice to hear from you, Jens - hope you are fine!
Fusion360 works fine for the simple stuff that I'm doing, so I'm still using it....
The temperature is starting to rise here as well so I hope that I can get back to some modelling this weekend 😉

Any possibility to see a manual for jet strobe lights? Can andruino handle it? BTW waiting the next episode keep safe and hot 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Thanks Giorgos! Yes, an Arduino can handle that - even the smallest ones (Tiny85 based) would be suitable. My plan is to control LEDs in the Star Trek USS Voyager that I'm building, so I will cover that in the build series.
