    Excellent video! Made the textbook make much more sense. I'm still not understanding when potassium returns to the cell. Is this after the hyperpolarization with the Na⁺/K⁺-ATPase pump?

    • @errrccc
      @errrccc 11 місяців тому +1

      Yes, Na⁺/K⁺ ATPase pump returns the cell to its resting membrane potential, and the cycle repeats with another action potential.

    In 5:48. I studied that at plateau some potassium start to gonna close? (I think not all) what do u think of this.

  • @paulsparrow2442
    @paulsparrow2442 6 місяців тому +1

    Why is the resting membrane potential negative 70 mv? The cell is filled with potassium which is a cation. Also how/when does potassium renter the cardiac cell?

    • @georgeacosta4742
      @georgeacosta4742 Місяць тому

      It’s a comparison from inside the cell to outside. There are more cations outside the cell compared to the potassium inside the cell so -70 is just what the comparison difference is from in to out.
