Plural is squashes and I love me some. Every time I roast them I end up just snacking on them as if I were snacking on melon and they never make it into another dish. Goals.
@@1auntievenom Haahaaa good point!! That was me yesterday with my 3rd butternut of the season. Fresh out of the oven & just went at it with a spoon. Yummm!
I keep that tofu scramble mix on hand in my pantry all the time! (Sam’s from It doesn’t taste like chicken) So good and easy. I sometimes add a splash of plant based milk to it when cooking too, to make it a bit creamy.
Yummy 😋 squash recipes Maddie and thanks for sharing this inspirational video. I have been using my instant pot a lot and it's definitely been one of the best kitchen cooking appliances I have invested in. Love 🥰 the video and love 💕 ❤️Maddie & Q.
The skin on the kabocha squash is traditionally eaten, actually soft and taste good. This is coming from someone who doesn't like the skin on butternut squash
You've gotta try it! It works really well for these smaller pasta shapes like shells or penne, and also make sure you're near a vent because with the quick release you're likely to get some spray! I usually just turn the valve on and off while it does that, but I still need to "mop up" with a kitchen rag afterwards. 😂😂 But the convenience of cooking a whole bag all at once without waiting for water to boil and then watching over it is well worth it! Also, cooking squash is super easy too. That's actually why I love to roast them first... I find roasting to be the easiest method. 😆😆 Just cut lengthwise & bake at 400F. 😁 And you're very welcome! 💕🌱
These recipes look delicious! Thank you for sharing. Faith at The Conscientious Eater blog has a good sweet potato brownie recipe that's not wet and is fudgy and delicious. I sub the oil for applesauce and they still turn out great.
Ooooh I'll have to check it out! My husband really doesn't like fudgy brownies so I don't make them often, but good to know if I need one it's there. Thanks! 😋😋
@@susanpratt1881 Oh very interesting! I definitely thought it was one of the more widely available options. 😆🙈 Feel free to sub another squash such as butternut. 😋😋
Mmmmm brownies 😋 they look delicious. Great video, thanks for sharing all the squash recipes. Such great inspiration for meal prepping. We get pumpkins all year round here 🎃 🥰
What's the plural of squash? Squash or squashes!? 😜😜 I never know 🤷🏼♀

Isn’t it the best!? I’m obsessed! Yes the splash of soymilk seems essential. Adds such a good creaminess. 🤗🤗

Yes! Great point! I always just feel like the dark skin will affect the color of my final dish, but definitely good to note that it's edible. 😃😃
I still want to try your instant pot pasta hack. 😎
Love squashes but intimated by cooking process. Thanks for your breakdown! 💜

Thanks for the good squash recipes but kabocha is such a hard one to find
Oh really!? It’s so abundant here! You can definitely sub it for other squash. 😋😋 Cubed butternut would be good in the tofu scramble! 🎃
Kabocha is not available where I live either. I’ve gotten it a couple times at a big international market I go to about 3 hours away. 🙁
