This should not happen in case of ithihasa puranas. A true astika would not require this research backing to believe in our faith or sanatana dharma. Why would an astika want a research backing? We will go by what our rishis and purvacharyas say. We will have to believe fully in our purvacharyas and be an astika or don't believe and be a nastika. Also for the interviewers question whether a bridge can survive 1 crore years, there is a rock in Tirumala which is said to be 1.8 crore years old by the so called researchers and from that very rock Lord Srinivasa came to Tirumala. If that rock can survive 1.8 crores why not Rama Setu? What this interviewer tried to do is to back Dushyant Sridhar and Jayashree Saranathan. One sided or biased. She must be open to hear the other side as well. Next thing which may come up is someone putting a date to Vedas - when it originated, though it is called Apourusheyam.

In SriBhashyam it was said that the liberated soul who leaves the body thru sushumna nadi travels thru many lokas and the order was also mentioned by sri bhashyakara however let us remain only on one thing- In that adhikaranam sri bhashyakarar says the soul first crosses the surya loka and then in the due process at last reaches the chandra loka and then the adhi devatha of chandra loka handovers this mukthaathma( liberated soul) to vidhyuth purusha or amaanava. Now the question to these researches is - If you do an astronomical calculation sun is more farthest than the moon. How come in sribhashya the traversal path was mentioned as surya and then chandra lokas respectively. Can anyone amongst the researchers whose research is only with their naked eyes beyond mental cognition explain this???? For us commoners, it is best that we do not begin to take sides but look forward to these stalwarts arriving at a common understanding of the truth so that it paves the way for us to begin understanding our scriptures correctly ("these stalwarts" I refer to are Rangarajan Narasimhan, Dhushyant Sridhar etc but not this female interviewer) . Rangaraj Pandey should have done this interview rather than this lady who's knowledge is not much better than us commoners. It is baffling that Rangaraj Pandey, for whom many have high regard, is hiding behind this lady? He should have conducted this interview.

This should not happen in case of ithihasa puranas. A true astika would not require this research backing to believe in our faith or sanatana dharma. Why would an astika want a research backing? We will go by what our rishis and purvacharyas say. We will have to believe fully in our purvacharyas and be an astika or don't believe and be a nastika. Also for the interviewers question whether a bridge can survive 1 crore years, there is a rock in Tirumala which is said to be 1.8 crore years old by the so called researchers and from that very rock Lord Srinivasa came to Tirumala. If that rock can survive 1.8 crores why not Rama Setu? What this interviewer tried to do is to back Dushyant Sridhar and Jayashree Saranathan. One sided or biased. She must be open to hear the other side as well. Next thing which may come up is someone putting a date to Vedas - when it originated, though it is called Apourusheyam.

To the anchor - What is Science? Science as practiced today is a study of the material world that can be understood by the 5 senses and the mind through Pratyaksha and Inference (anumana). A hypothesis is stated, experiment is devised, observations are made, from the observations inference is made which may or may not agree with the hypothesis.
Basic definition of physical: "relating to things perceived through the senses as opposed to the mind; tangible or concrete"
Rocks are as physical as the Bones (rather fossils) if not more physical than fossils and way less perishable than bones. Not metaphysical or spiritual or abstract or indiscernible.
Acasta Gneiss in the Canadian Shield is several million years old. Jack hills zircon is believed to be a couple of billion years old. And several other examples. Still found on Earth. I wonder why some people seem to think that the presence of rama setu is implausible if it is several million years old but they have no problems believing the aforementioned examples. Just because a few archeologists/ scientists attested it?

In SriBhashyam it was said that the liberated soul who leaves the body thru sushumna nadi travels thru many lokas and the order was also mentioned by sri bhashyakara however let us remain only on one thing- In that adhikaranam sri bhashyakarar says the soul first crosses the surya loka and then in the due process at last reaches the chandra loka and then the adhi devatha of chandra loka handovers this mukthaathma( liberated soul) to vidhyuth purusha or amaanava.
Now the question to these researches is - If you do an astronomical calculation sun is more farthest than the moon. How come in sribhashya the traversal path was mentioned as surya and then chandra lokas respectively.
