Enjoyed this video as always... this is a great example of how "un-staged" your videos are and why I keep coming back to view them even if I don't use the gear you are referring to. I guess I won't ever make it again as a professional... I can't see clear to spending $850 on one light... but you my YT friend are always educational... You also got some good images of someone that was more than obviously nervous about posing! Thanks!
Fantastic video. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and time with us. I have a question. and sorry to bother you. but what type of gels could i use on those lights? since they discontinued their gels set, i don't really know what could fit them. thanks again.
great video as always. Cpl questions tho 1. Power output comparison to standard strobes in diffeent wattages, godox, profoto etc. (specifically Godox ad100, AD200 etc.) 2. Does it work with any other trigger systems? Canon, Godox etc. 3. Build quality? Thanks again for your really informative videos they have helped me on deciding what I put in my mobile studio kit etc.
It should still work with Godox. The original one worked with Elinchrom and Godox. A friend is happy with the original, using the Godox trigger and the Chimera 30 inch soft box.
I really appreciate your nonsense approach to your videos. Thank you. Two quick questions. Do you know if the Reflex will work with the new Godox Xnano? I have reached on to L&M but never got a response. Also, what stand mount were you using? I love the idea of mounting from the top 1/4"-20.
Just got mine a few days ago. Are the lenses supposed to be fairly loose when they twist on or do they lock in place? I haven't had any luck contacting the company
fantastic, I like that they losten to users and improve their unit quite a bit. now it is really interesting. Might as well sell my Aeos2 pro. It's nice but so chunky and heavy.
Since the very first time I got the first version I switched to a 100W powerbank and was able to get the full power output on battery - for 300$ you can easily get 4 of those in similar capacity 👍
@@kaskoPhoto I typically use Microsoft's Edge browser and proceeded through to the cart where no discount appeared. After reading your response, I copy/pasted the link into Safari, added the light from the landing page and proceeded to the cart and the 20% discount appears; which is 100% greater than the 10% offered to new customers. Thanks!
What is that weird camera you are using really seriously !!! looks like a Holga :) I just both this let you know how the flash work with Godox I think this light will be a great asset to my work. I was patient and waited for the upgrade. Great reviews you gave me some good ideas already. Thank you
Two completely different animals. If you need the versatility of a LED/strobe combo these are my only choice. For power, nothing beats a speedlight in that size/class of light.
Does the Stella loose power in HSS mode or does it produce the same power? Meaning you measured 1/250 ISO100 f1.4 without HSS, will that change in HSS mode say at 1/4000?

Good light, but the fun is loud! I was able hear it. Thanks for sharing

It won’t compete with any speed light. It is compatible with Godox, Profoto and Ellichrone .
@@kaskoPhoto wont compete how? in power output?
@@PolPhotographs yes. It’s low power compared to even a small speedlight.

It does work. Not sure if it was the Manfroto or generic mount, but that head is so light you can use a plastic one and be safe.
Thank you very much. I look forward to picking up the Godox Xnano. It will be nice to be able to use that integration.

They are not a solid lock in. Just twist and that’s it. I’ve never had one fall off.

I do love this light, looking forward to doing a full shoot with it. I will post the shoot probably by Monday.
@@kaskoPhoto seems now close to perfect, just the bottom thread :) really need to get rid of the Rotolight :D

Great tip. Thank you.
I'm now sold. Though, perhaps it's just me, I just don't see where the 20% off is applied through the link in the description of this video.
I don’t see it either, not just you. Maybe there’s a code he was supposed to provide?
It should automatically show up in your cart

I am happy for you! It’s a great product and there is so much more I want to do with it.
I have the ReflexS. Will the new battery give the same results on the old head?
That is a really good question. I would email them and ask.
How does this stack against a speedlight?

No, it doesn’t lose power in HSS mode. There is no pulsing with LED.
@@kaskoPhoto Thanks! I thought so, but wanted to verify. Then it should work quite fine outdoors in sunlight with shallow DOF portraits.
Where /what is he discount code?
When you use the link, and add the item to your cart, the 20% will automatically come off
does it support ttl?
It does not have a TTL function
"Which is brilliant".... Sounds like you enjoyed getting waxxed during this process....
