we now have MERCH! True Patriots only! teespring.com/...
I also sell topsoil. I went away from a square screen because they reject too much clumped soil as spoils. And harp screens because they break too easy. I went to a double set of finger screens with a 20mm final screen. It's a balance between creating fine soil and not creating too much spoilage. I always run with the mulcher(hammer mill) on because it breaks up the clumps of soils and can even bust rocks. I also screen my soil until it is literally just rock and sticks, this means running the spoils through at least 2 times.
All of your equipment looks very respected (clean). Do you all own all of your equipment or is some leased/rented from your local dealers? Impressive operation my man!
Nah, I like a older guy with a beat to shit truck that's an absolute workhouse and expert in the true sense of the word. Don't trust anyone that's gotten rich in construction they're a crook.
@@philipm3173 stupidest thing I've ever heard
Black Gold!!! Looks like a great operation you have there. I always like seeing guys who take pride in keeping their equipment clean and in good order. Shows they care about their operation, equipment and it doesn’t go unnoticed by customers.
Black Gold
BLACK GOLD. Did learn a lot. Considering doing something similar down in Northeast Texas just different materials. Looks like you keep your stuff clean... being a diesel mechanic for 15 years I can appreciate that effort. Well done.
BLACK GOLD!!!
You say buying another 60ft stacker for tailings, strive for greatness build bigger piles and make more topsoil!
Buy an 80ft stacker and use your existing 60ft for tailings 😎😎
Love the energy and I can feel the excitement in your dirt. All the way from Australia!
That’s awesome, thanks for that. Ya I honestly love making dirt
I love watching you make that BLACK GOLD!!!!!!!! Seriously, I'm pretty much condemned to staying in here at home except for my daily trips for the cancer treatments! So I try and watch ALL your new stuff! and go back and watch your older stuff when I don't crash....... And YES, I'm always trying to keep a POSITIVE attitude, I'm gonna beat the cancer, and we as a people gonna beat the d$%n RONA virus........... I gonna be hitting your merch store shortly! Stay safe!!!!
Black gold we have called asphalt, as the coop have made good money hauling it over the years, but new times. Little man are not meant to make a profit anymore. Only the big companies.
“BLACK GOLD” Looks great!!!
You've got some sharp looking dump trucks! I like that you keep up on how everything looks. Nice operation you have there!
Thanks! I try
I was in the soil buisness for almost 5 years, it can be fun. We did a lot more greenwaste and manure though for our soil to hit certain specs for mostly commercial jobs but did some topsoil like this. Our setups were a Doppstadt SM720 and McKloskey 80 ft stacker. I enjoyed that job, miss it sometimes.
UA-cam’s. Best dirt operation.
We've got the dual stacker setup on our Mark-II powerscreen. Basically the baby version of your Commander. 100% agree it will make your operation SO much more efficient.
Awesome video! Love seeing that black gold being made. I hope to do the same one day. Keep the great videos coming man!
BLACK GOLD!!! Ken keep up the great work i enjoy your videos every time you post them!! They are fun and very enjoyable to watch and nothing but continued success in the future!!!!!
I appreciate comments like these and that fact that you watch! Thank you very much
BLACK GOLD. keep them clean, and looking good. Well done.
Video on how to work a low boy and chain up your equipment
Nice layout, i blended soils near Vancouver BC for 18 years, always trying to better the material, I rented big Mclousky trommel for sticky peat, even added 0.05 % land clearing ash.and 46-0-0 and good compost,, people will pay more for a quality product but can be difficult, , most don't know squat about what grass and plants need, My downfall was fuel and the cost of trucking, everything was trucked in from elsewhere , just the ferry fare for the compost end dump ( 50 yards ) was $ 1000. always good to do proper lab soil testing too, helps with credibility i managed to get speced on commercial jobs, - hospitals, schools
cubic yards?
BLACK GOLD keep up the good work

BLACK GOLD so far I've watched all your videos to the end sometimes I just pop it on my tv and watch your videos
Where u been u just now came up on my subscriptions
I’ve been around! UA-cam hasn’t been pushing the videos since this pandemic. Glad it reached you now!
Black gold!! 🤘 topsoil grind!
Just upgrade and get a tromel screener then just sit in one spot with an excavator save more fuel and then the excavator can keep the tailings cleaned out with another stacker needed
So true it's black gold Canadian tea have a good weekend.
Hey Taylor, have you considered getting a second bucket for that Excavator? You could mostlikly get a bucket that's 2x the size of that hydraulic bucket. Those hydraulic buckets are really heavy & the pins and bushings wear out fast.
That bucket is handy for our septics and larger jobs. The shovel leaves the yard in summer and never comes back, just using it now cause it’s handy. Also, that is an oversized bucket already, wouldn’t want any larger or I would need a new counterweight
I feel ya Kenny. I just ordered a backup cam setup for my skid steer (CTL). I ran over one of my sonotubes about 15 minutes after pouring it last Tuesday. Had to play sandcastle with the concrete and get er all back setup. Not my finest hour.
Haha we all had a good laugh, he took care of replacing it so it is all good!
black gold! Another great video hope everyone is doing great and b safe
You as well Shawn
I worked at a gravel crushing job last year in Alberta but it was at a larger scale with 2 big screen decks 1 with 2 tiers of screens and one with 3 and we could do a split for dirt so seeing just a dirt screening process is cool
Very cool seeing what goes into making that “black gold” still catching up on vids
I have seen people dig a hole and the reject falls in the hole and can't back up onto your stacker. They just use the loader and build a ramp and the loader driven in it to scoop up the reject. The hole is only 3 or 4 feet deep. Someting to consider.
Funny you say that, we started doing that Friday haha
Heres to the black gold Crew keep on making bank $$$ nice outfit !
Black gold. Love the content!
Great video Taylor! What am I saying there all great!
Black Gold....Ken is just doing a make work project knocking over the pole til 1/2 loads are off lol also no side unloading today or that a been there done that kinda thing now lol. Cheers eh!
Haha it is what he’s doing lol
BLACK GOLD!!!!! LETS GET IT BABY
Nice looking topsoil man.👍🏻BLACK GOLD!!!
I appreciate that you use the engine brakes how they should be. Jamaicans, especially use engine brakes even when they are upshifting as a style or to say that they can drive or shift through the gears. RUBBISH!!! these equipments are not something to toy with and not because it's a truck means you can handle it any way you want to one out of two things will happen. You break it or it kills you simple as that.
Your hands were on point with the voice over lol
If we stack topsoil higher then 2m the pile burns inside and the soil is black inside the pile and the gras won't grow in that soil. When we screen we stack it beside whit a loader in 2m high strings.
Interesting. I’ve never ran into that problem, that’s unique
@@KenWhiteConstruction no the pressur makes the soil burn inside, We do mix in peat or peaty in the soil like 1 in 8soil and 1 sand 1 horse-muck and 1/2 asch
black gold. seeing this makes me want to quit my web developer studies, I just want to do something that I enjoy and not be forced by my parents
Go for it man, nothing worse than suffering through a job you hate everyday. I was in a similar situation and life is a lot more enjoyable when youre not dreading going back to work..
Black gold dude!
Black Gold. Nice looking dirt.
It's just like the old days when I worked at Crepin in the pit slinging top soil
6:49 - What's the purpose of dropping soil from a height like this? Seen it done by someone receiving clean fill and don't understand why.
Also, what do you do with tailings?
Thanks
Black gold! Love your videos

Hey Ken, I really would like to talk to you to see how I could start a black gold business down here in the US! What’s the best way to contact you?

Black gold. Love the vids.
Black Gold!!!
Do you use the engcon systems on any of your excavators? "Black Gold"
Good afternoon I'm a new contractor out here, I was wondering how do I go about pricing caliche for a 100,000sqf lot job.
So are you just advertising taking free clean fill and using that to screen. You find it’s hard to keep a steady supply ?
Black Gold… 4yrs later… why not :)
BLACK GOLD? 1. Earth is not soil if it doesn't have living organisms. 2. 99.9% of your customers probably won't know that. 3. Premium soil (topsoil) is earth/50% life. 4. You didn't tell us what you meant by "light dirt" and "dark dirt". Are you talking about sand rich and clay rich? What ratios are the mix? Do you ever try to break up soft lumps? What is the source of your organic matter (peat moss)? How much do you add (ratio)?
nice! we are in pembroke ontario just bought an 1800 warrior
