I'm very happy these vids get so many views. Very professional, and well-made. Thanks for making these. Can't wait to get my hands on PO2, playing 1 atm.
"To say repertoire, is not so hard..." "...you need no clues, like in noire... " "...it isn't hiding, in some armoire..." "...you can look it up, in your grimoire!"
OH. MY. GOD. I'm literally flipping through youtube to find a background vid to listen to while I play PoE1. AND I SEE THIS! My hype levels are too high right now. Trying to play through one before embarking on two. Thank you so much for the videos!
How does a Psion/Wizard multiclass fare in your opinion? A backline DPS caster who opens with some offensive spells and then when done with those should have enough focus to finish things off with some CC or other debilitating cipher spells? Seems like Psion fixes the lack of synergy between Cipher's usual need for autoattacks and wizard's lack of autoattack.
Great video! I'd love to see other games covered as well once you can access them (such as the recently kickstarted Pathfinder Kingmaker and Black Geyser Couriers of Darkness). Keep up the good work!
Its so damn complicated.. like damn im a nerd but this game is waaaay to hard to learn. I have no idea what the numbers mean for abilites.. great game but im just playing with what i know. Too many classes/subs. . Too much to take in.
Years late, I know, but I'm having some fun with my illusionist. Just keep casting debuffs on groups of enemies (terror is really effective) and watch them scatter while my party members pick them off.
He said it will most likely multiclass ~with another caster class~ or stay single class. (and then calls rogue an exception). Which is a significantly more meaningful assertion than the one you rephrased it to.
I don't think there are any spells or abilities that can't miss. AoE attacks will still check against the target's defenses. So perception is very useful with any spell that targets enemies. Especially since everything can crit, including debuffs, which increase duration by 50% when they crit. The only time when you can neglect perception is if you focus mainly on buffs.
There’s a like first tier spell with very little cast time and can interrupt that specifically says can’t miss (not sure on name I’m a noooob to the series 😬)
I agree with you, although I can tell you my evoker has 12 perception and just facerolls everything in his path. He has really high Might and Int though. I also took Nature Godlike and cast a level 1 inspiration at the start of every fight, giving me +3 to all Evocation power levels.
@fextralife Wish you could do the 1st POE game builds as I am having trouble with it or do you know someone with builds that can be simulated on console
The combat wasn't very challenging or deep and got boring and repetitive very early on for me. Also the way the story was told and the story it self. The long blocks of text that I had to read trough made me feel like I'm not even playing a game and for most of the time I spent with it I really wasn't. It was just a lot of reading with some repetitive combat sprinkled in every now and then.
Pillars 2 dialog is fully voice acted. You do need to read some stuff like the narration after the start of the game. One of my favorite streamers is not a crpg player and didn't play pillars 1 mostly because of the wall of text but now hes playing pillars 2 and hes really enjoying the game.
So, they still keep the Might as damage factor regardless of character class. It is a huge FUCK YOU to role play. Why my pistol or spell will do more damage because of Might? Why my multiclass Wizard/Paladin will do more spell and melee damage based on the same attribute? Why in interactive cutscenes my wizard can move heavier objects than my barbarian?
I'm fed up with the game. Characters die, others have insane attack speed, while they are pocking their asses, die in 4-5 hits, while any mob to kill takes 15-20....Fuck it.

Fextralife GRIM-WAH
"ENCHANTMENT? ENCHANTMENT!"
I coud hear it
It just went downhill from there
I'm very happy these vids get so many views.
Very professional, and well-made.
Thanks for making these. Can't wait to get my hands on PO2, playing 1 atm.
he can say repetoire but not grimoire lol
My thoughts exactly... I couldn't finish the video after hearing that.
And you can't spell repertoire
"To say repertoire, is not so hard..."
"...you need no clues, like in noire... "
"...it isn't hiding, in some armoire..."
"...you can look it up, in your grimoire!"
@@MisterSmith00 Nice dude.
Very complete guide, even knowing how to play, I noticed even more details.
I love how the caption under Enchanter just says "EncHater" like they're some sort of magical internet troll.
You don't want to start a reddit fight with those EncHaters. Cat turn into a spider and shit.
So good. Thanks! Dying to see your take on Cipher (best class IMO)
After finished the POE1 of PS4 with all my 8 Watchers(saves), i will finally play the POE2 that will release 28/01/2020. Thanks for the guide.
Amazingly detailed guide, thanks!

More are coming over the next few hours!
Amazing guide!
Now I have to watch all of them. :P

Nice, hope to see monks uploaded before I start my playthrough :)
Very helpful, I’d need a sort of table to summarize it, tho.. can’t see this again when picking my chars!^^
Hope you make more of these type of videos I would like to see rogue next :)
We have all classes, we should have about half uploaded today.
Great video! I'd love to see other games covered as well once you can access them (such as the recently kickstarted Pathfinder Kingmaker and Black Geyser Couriers of Darkness). Keep up the good work!
What about blood mage?
I like how he pronounced repertoire correctly but grimoire as grim-ore hahah
I think I'm gonna grab this game
Tl2aV I went ahead and grabbed the game
Kristian Wanner I'm thinking of geting it. I'm a big skyrim and maybe even bigger d&d fan, a scale from 0 to 20 how would you rate POE2?
Its so damn complicated.. like damn im a nerd but this game is waaaay to hard to learn. I have no idea what the numbers mean for abilites.. great game but im just playing with what i know. Too many classes/subs. . Too much to take in.
Excellent like all from you 😊
Years late, I know, but I'm having some fun with my illusionist. Just keep casting debuffs on groups of enemies (terror is really effective) and watch them scatter while my party members pick them off.
Nice! Such a good game! I still play sometimes too!
Awesome vids man! New suscriber!
How do you cast so fast? My wizard's average casting is like 3 seconds.
"transmuters will most likely multiclass or stay with a single class". Dat logic...
He said it will most likely multiclass ~with another caster class~ or stay single class. (and then calls rogue an exception).
Which is a significantly more meaningful assertion than the one you rephrased it to.
How did you spell Enchanter wrong so many times?
I don't think there are any spells or abilities that can't miss. AoE attacks will still check against the target's defenses. So perception is very useful with any spell that targets enemies. Especially since everything can crit, including debuffs, which increase duration by 50% when they crit. The only time when you can neglect perception is if you focus mainly on buffs.
If spells can Crit then they can Hit, Graze or Miss. That's just how the mechanics of the game work.
The guy is right, AoE still check against defenses so neglecting accuaracy is not precisely a good idea. With buffs you can totally dismiss that stat.
Amazing guide!
Nice I picked no subclass. Thought I may have screwed up
If you made a Wizard and dont use Grog's voice over. You messed up brah.
I have an Intelligence of 6, I know what I'm doing.
nice video bro what should be a good weapon for a wizard?
Una duda: que paso con el hechizo del mago "Convocar mostruo"??...parece que en Pillars of eternity 2 no esta...:(
would you guys recommend wizards for beginner
The long casting time kills them.
@fextralife Wish you could do the 1st POE game builds as I am having trouble with it or do you know someone with builds that can be simulated on console
Are spell masteries gone in PoE II?
If you multiclass a wizard, can you still use level 8 and 9 spells from grimoires?
No
So I picked this game up on PS4. Attempting to play as an Enchanter/Paladin.
rip-ose
grim wah
thnx for the run down of classes
I usually don't like videos like this, but you've done a great job, thanks! However, during the "Enchanter" bit, your video says 'Enchater" ;)
I like them to, but learn to spell.
can you do a guide for single class no subclass wizard I can't find one for beginner wizard I usually main a rogue
10:05
Whats the outro song?
anyone know if there is a mod to make the spell system (being able to pick and choose my spells) like how the first game was?
Just got this game and wow very surprised at the content
If I disliked the first game after the first half or so should I even bother with this one? What did they change?
What did you dislike about the first game?
The combat wasn't very challenging or deep and got boring and repetitive very early on for me. Also the way the story was told and the story it self. The long blocks of text that I had to read trough made me feel like I'm not even playing a game and for most of the time I spent with it I really wasn't. It was just a lot of reading with some repetitive combat sprinkled in every now and then.
If those are the reasons you didn't like it then you will probably feel the same about the sequel.
Pillars 2 dialog is fully voice acted. You do need to read some stuff like the narration after the start of the game. One of my favorite streamers is not a crpg player and didn't play pillars 1 mostly because of the wall of text but now hes playing pillars 2 and hes really enjoying the game.
Indeed. The voices are really good too, which helps. I think that may change @nomercy8989 's view about the game.
Gilmores Glorious Grimoire
What is a "Enc Hater?"
"Grim-o-ar" not "Grim-ore"
So, they still keep the Might as damage factor regardless of character class. It is a huge FUCK YOU to role play. Why my pistol or spell will do more damage because of Might? Why my multiclass Wizard/Paladin will do more spell and melee damage based on the same attribute? Why in interactive cutscenes my wizard can move heavier objects than my barbarian?
its pronounced Grimoyar not grimore
It's pronounced Grim-War, not Grimoyar.
It's pronounced Green-mhua, not Grim-War.
Davi de Assis
Take it up with Wikipedia.
Grim-oo-ahr
this isnt the only channel that pronounces it wrong. apparently people arent familar with how to pronounce french words...or read in general
Bonk staff mele? Bonk staff melee.
i created a wizard but it didnt gave me a grimoire :(
Enemies drop them as loot & can buy them from vendors
Grimors ? Thanks for not explaining Grimors btw. I came here just for that.
Nice enCHATer! mispelll in the vid.
Enchaters gonna enchate.
I thought fextralife was a girl, who's voice is this?
I'm fed up with the game. Characters die, others have insane attack speed, while they are pocking their asses, die in 4-5 hits, while any mob to kill takes 15-20....Fuck it.
You're just trash
How you pronounce grimoire is offensive.
its pronounced grimwore and repitwore
Lol say grimoire and repertoire in the same sentence but says grimoire wrong 😅
The spell casting animations are so terrible, nothing like IWD or NWN1.
GriMOAR lol
another game that made wizards into garbage
What about blood mage?
