Now that I’ve used the flagship phones from both the companies, I can easily tell you all that buy whatever you find good in your hands as there’s hardly any noticeable difference between the iPhones and Samsung phones.
Aaron never properly addresses these in the beta videos. Each time it's the same "Performance is good" mantra when the reality is far from that. Android is so, so much smoother. Aside from actually hitting 120Hz while scrolling fast, it doesn't chop and stutter. iOS is way too aggressive and it's just sloppy.
@McCarthy880 80Hz to be more precise, but yeah. 120Hz is reserved for slow scrolling, gestures and a handful of unnecessary animations. The volume slider of all things gets 120Hz but scrolling through text gotta be 80Hz- a joke of a design choice. What’s funny is that App Library is used in beta videos to demonstrate ProMotion’s performance, even though that’s where it stutters the most.
Im the opposite. I have both an iphone and samsung. I prefer the s24U flat front and rounded back. much better to hold in the hand than either the 16 or the s25

Camera-wise, the iPhone wins hands down. Much sharper, less saturated. Samsung is still a great telephone though. I just prefer iOS and how seamless the ecosystem is.
Finally the the first video I've seen where the wallpapers are actually the same on both phones to get the best visual difference . I do not know why influencers that fo phone comparisons have never done this...

Nice video Aaron....one of the reasons I like the Samsung phones better, is when you are recording video, you can stop the video, and then restart the video where you left off, on the iPhone you have to just record another video, and then use software to splice them together.
Shutter lag / motion blur alone makes camera experience on Samsung subpar. Paying for flagship and having to use third party apps to get decent (decent as in usable, not great, but at least on pair what competition has to offer) picture of any moving subject - makes no sense.

I usually take landscape photos and videos and use social media and productivity apps and no gaming. I'm debating whether to upgrade to either the regular 16, or the 16 Pro Max, or wait for the 17 Pro Max, or even upgrade to the new Galaxy S25 Ultra?
I had a similar issue with my 14 Pro Max. I pre-ordered the 25 ultra. I should be receiving it today. Obviously preferred ecosystem plays a huge part in it. I find myself using Google far more than anything else and I’m excited to try this new phone.
I have a 13 pro max 512gb bought new from sept 2021. Also at 85% battery health with over 510 cycles. No performance issues at all with stuttering even on the apps you mention. Everything is silky smooth promotion 120hz. Running iOS 18.3 and I still get full day battery life from the morning to the following morning before charging again. Have you checked if you have any other underlying issues software wise?
@@vividthespis Thanks! Yes I checked it and it seems like it’s an issue on Instagram specifically on my 14p, don’t know why, because using the same accounts on my previous iPhone 11 are just fine to do so. Also, nothing helped like reinstalling or restarting the phone too.

I'm kind of done with the iPhone. The iPhone is good but so boring and limited. I miss so many options that the Samsung does offer. AI, S-pen, good Windows connection, better photo album, files are better organized, 45 watt charging, your own choice of resolution, more customization options, free apps, multitasking, camera options, etc., etc.
I don’t think anything you mentioned would make the phone more boring over the other. Apple has AI, it just haven’t released the full suite yet and on top of that, the iPhone 17 will be out later this year with even more. S pen? I know so many Android users and they literally don’t use this, but I’ll give it to you. To me that in the same category of “fun” as the camera button and action button. I prefer to have MagSafe which the Samsung doesn’t have. Better file system, photo and windows connection? Maybe better, but how much more fun is that? The only thing that you mentioned that I honestly think the iPhone can really use is multitasking and split screen view. Free apps? Man iPhone apps are optimized better! Camera app, we have other apps for people who need that which is very small!
It comes down to what you’ve been using for a long period of time. If that’s apple then most iPhone users have multiple apple products so would cost a lot to fully change over. S25 ultra is nice but very light

Honestly, most of the photo differences are due to photo processing. You can import into LR or other software and process accordingly to your liking. 99.99% of the time if I want a great photo, I will use my camera. Phone photos are at the moment shots. So, in all honesty chose a phone for other functions unless you want to only take photos with phone.
i tried switching to android samsung specifically. the problem is updates are like once every 6 months.. and new versions often break things and make apps buggy. at least on the tablets.
I bought an iPhone Pro 16 after more than 10 years of not using iOS. After great happiness when I opened the box, disappointment came after 2 months. As an EU user, I have nothing I need to use because the iPhone is great for the US market....I'm going back to Samsung because Android gives me everything it advertises, not like iOS where I don't have anything from the new iOS.
Still using an s8 plus, i only ever really use it for calls and messages now, i do everything else from my tablet or computer. And i also just dont like the direction samsung or apple are going.
Samsung has clearly improved and now has the best looking device, which has better software. With discounts, which Samsung always offer you can easily get £150 off. My iphone 16pro max is buggy and sometimes doesnt even connect with wifi. iOS has needless animation, options hidden in menus in strange places and the same old issue of no user personally even with the new changes. I only stick with iphone because of work and my daughter. Everyone else in my circle have android phones.
Design wise, go with the Samsung. Name brand, go with the iPhone of course. Still photo, go with Samsung. Video shootings, go with iPhone of course. There's only two most influential brand out there. Who doesn't know by now both Samsung and iPhone are the true kings of smartphone out there. You really can't go wrong with either phone. They both have their ups and downs and differ by a slight margin at most. Question is, which do you prefer? It's all preferences.

When it comes to download speeds and upload speeds on cellular my Android phones are better than my iPhone 16 Pro and it makes it hard for me to use that phone inside buildings specifically verses on my s24 ultra and pixel 9 Pro XL. It's a lot better. Still spotty but I can do whatever that needs to get done

I agree. Idk why Samsung won't invest money into their cameras and processing. I think they have done better this year. From what I've seen, believe it or not. Yet their no wear near on apples level.
Why is it "horrible"? Tests I have seen so far shows that iPhone 16 Pro Max and Galaxay S25 Ultra have very good quality. They have both their strength and weeknes when compared. Video still seems to be a bit better on iPhone? What information do you have to support this?

1. Apple's Customer Service is very good and I always had a happy & satisfied experience so far. Does Samsung also provide equal/almost level❓
2. Does Samsung Support International Warranty❓For Eg. if we purchase S25 Ultra from New York, will it be accepted for Service in any other country (For e.g. UK, Europe, India or Middle East etc). I used to travel a bit more...So a bit concerned about this point.

I have an iPhone 14 from August of 2023 with 86% battery health and stuttering screen scrolling mainly on Instagram and Twitter. I usually take landscape photos and videos and use social media and productivity apps and no gaming. I'm debating whether to upgrade to either the regular 16, or the 16 Pro Max, or wait for the 17 Pro Max, or even upgrade to the new Galaxy S25 Ultra?
