Agreed. I wished I had read the comments . I tried this method overnight Abdul not only did it do nothing to remove the stains it etched my marble. Thanks for nothing. RR should remove this video.
Hahaha! “Oh no, I got flour on you.” Rachel: “Who cares, I’m a cook. Cooks always get food on them. It’s how you know what I’ve been cooking.” I love it.
This method doesn't work and now it's ruined my whole Calacatta marble. What was a beautiful white marble, is now grey and the created deeper stains in the countertop.
I have a beautiful marble kintsugi table that I got from my great grandma but it has lemon stains... and I'm afraid of ruining it more. Does this work?
This method destroyed my marble table top. I followed every step described in the video and ended up with marble looking like a decaying tooth. This “magic paste” caused severe discoloration and staining of my marble table top. How disappointing and devastating. I’ve lost a precious and expensive table.
It’ll take it out right alone with the polish 😂 you can get someone to come out to face polish it but it’ll cost you. For insight when marble & natural stone is quarried, milled & cut down to slabs, it goes through its first fabrication process and along the process it goes through a “closing process” which is when resin is poured crossed the slab to fill in pits and Fischer, then polished and doing it by hand is very hard ( if possible depending on the material) and tedious to match the polish done in the closing process
I'm trying this tonight to see if it will draw the dark stains out of my kitchen countertop. I slathered it all over the surface and covered it all with plastic wrap. Tomorrow morning I will be pulling off the plastic and washing off the slurry - hoping for a brighter color in my light grey marble.
I'm not 100% sure it helped. But it may be that the darkened countertop is a bit lighter today after I cleaned everything up. I may have to try it a couple more times to actually be sure it did or it did not help. My mixture was more liquidy than the one in their video, so I may add more flour next time to see if that is more effective. Rachel and the guest never described what were the active ingredients in the mixture.
there are commercial rust removers for marble, look up stone benchtop makers or suppliers eg Stone doctor. Try a paste of baking soda (bicarbonate of soda) and water under plastic wrap over night, this worked for me for small areas of rust.
I followed the steps verbatim but I ended up with dried flour mess to deal with. I spent 20min wetting the flour and cleaning the mess. It didn’t NOT remove an inch on the stains. Shame on you for putting people on like this!
WHY didn't I read the comments it made it COMPLETELY WORSE! I'm so sad, my brand new marble coffee top had a small ring and NOW has a giant wet CIRCLE! DO NOT DO THIS!
DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME!!! Tried this on my guest bath carrera marble top after someone set a glass down & left a water stain. After 12 hrs with Dawn dish soap, water & flour covered with saran wrap I now have one side of my beautiful white & light gray carrera that is now light gray & dark gray AND the water mark is still there! This marble was sealed less than 2 weeks ago & I am pissed that I even tried this!
Worst idea ever. Left an oily stain which they don't show because they show it wet. For people who've tried this and it left an oily stain, mineral spirits and baking soda (covered with plastic wrap overnight) should remove the stain as it did for me. Peroxide and baking soda (left to dry overnight) removed any oiliness left over.
This 100% doesn't work. Use 2 parts baking soda to one part hydrogen peroxide. Spread paste on leave for 24- 48 hours. Scrape harden past of and clean up. Blam!
He wouldn't be allowed to touch her thigh like that anymore!! Would have been nicer if Rachel hadn't jumped the gun with everything the guy was saying. Too eager to get on with the next segment I suppose.
Tried peroxide baking soda,...flour and iron out too...then went to sand paper which crusted off the marble stone...I am letting iron out sit another 24 hours then sanding it off I'm so tired of nothing working

Worked! This took a stain from a hot pink post it note out of our White Carrara marble countertop. Thanks so much!
Yikes! Glad I read the comments before I put on my antique table 😮
Well gee How much water, soap, flour?
I left a white marble table in my garage for a few weeks and it turned a light orange color. Would this work to bring it back to white?
please take this video down. It doesn't work and is runing people's tables.
This method doesn't work and now it's ruined my whole Calacatta marble. What was a beautiful white marble, is now grey and the created deeper stains in the countertop.
Use Baking Soda and Acetone
I have a beautiful marble kintsugi table that I got from my great grandma but it has lemon stains... and I'm afraid of ruining it more. Does this work?
This totally ruined my countertop! Thanks Rachael Ray! Can you post how to fix the NEW stain this creates which is WAY worse than the first one?
DID You find a fix???? I didn't read any of the comments and tried it immediately, I'm so dumb! It's ruined now.
@@jenniedejesus1116 What kind of stain did it make ? Did you find a fix ?
None of that worked for me, I end up using 5000 wet sand paper then 4000 then high speed buffer using insta cut # 1, my marble looks better than new.
From reading the comments - Don't try this at home!! find other ways

baking soda and peroxide is the right mix. Flour and water is for very mild 'patches'. for proper staining use BS&P
What is BS&P? Googling it didn't help.
It's at the beginning of the comment: baking soda and peroxide
mikeywozhere1977 Could you please tell me what is the ratio you use for BS&P?
@@takla3210 peroxide. She used the word peroxide in the 1st sentence.
Will it remove liquid soap stain?

You know something is bullshit when they don’t explain how it works.
DO NOT DO THIS!! I NOW HAVE 2 HUGE STAINS ON MY NEW COUNTERTOP!! Just pay the money and hire a company😡
Does it work for colored marble countertops?
definitely didn't work. still trying to figure out how to get rust stains out of marble slab.
there are commercial rust removers for marble, look up stone benchtop makers or suppliers eg Stone doctor. Try a paste of baking soda (bicarbonate of soda) and water under plastic wrap over night, this worked for me for small areas of rust.
may i ask: what's flour and what's soap water? it is baking soda, right?
Sorry, wish this worked but doesn't, tried on red wine that was cleaned up straight away, and it left a mess afterwards

Thanks so much for your comment ,I was just about to do it .Thanks a million.
Does not work, just created more stains
Can I ask what you did to help it? MY table is completely ruined now!
I wish it was true tho now Im thinking about how I would remove that darn stain
does not work! i just tried this and the guest said "leave it for 24 hours or an hour" i did 2 hours...nothing.
Will this work on my undie stains
Just lick till clean. Easy
@@justinpaul8160 i will try that now
Try peroxide and diatomaceous earth mixed as a poultice and covered for a few days.
This did not work!!! Ugh 😑
Mine didn't work either!
Hooray. Love you Rachael Ray.
Don’t even bother! This created a huge mess and didn’t work at all.

It’s not flour it’s baking soda 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
Flour and water makes glue
Exactly. I knew right when I watch this. The guy Is lazy af to suggest this.
DO NOT TRY THIS. LITERALLY MADE A STAIN WORSE THAN IT WAS BEFORE. This was a garbage suggestion on a show that was just trying to get views
Thank you very much, Rachel!!
well which flour??
we have like 3 different kinds of flours!
what soap? soap for bath??
DreambreaX dish soap
wow I am amazed
Nop nope nope i am not going to clean all that dough from my counter top
DANGER.don’t do this. Read comments.

Wearing a suit to do kitchen cleaning is nasty work.

it was inappropriate. I was thinking the same thing.

The power of glutin
Poor Rachel, she had such a short half life in terms of her looks. She looks like she's had about a dozen kids and is at least 60 years old.
What the hell is wrong with you? What does her looks have to do with anything and do you really think anyone want to hear you opinion?
Not a stupid, irrelevant but sexist comment at all...🙄
Jerk. Her show is not a beauty contest. She looks fine. Her husband is very happy.
Maybe look at yourself in the mirror before commenting about others.
Says you with a bald head, glasses sitting in a gaming chair in your apartment. Your a real peice of work.
