How to create a pretty carved flower pattern in a bowl

A demonstration video of carving a cute flower pattern into the surface of a coil built clay bowl. Using just wooden modelling tools to create the design on a bowl I made beforehand this is a great project for anyone who enjoys surface pattern and drawing in clay.
Watch how the pattern builds as I draw it in freehand. I work by eye but you can use a template if you prefer to be more precise.

I can not believe how much I learned from one single video!! I love how you made the flower have more depth with pushing the clay on around the edge of the flower!!!! How is that easy!!! and how you drew the star first instead of just going for it and making the flowers petal by petal!! That’s what I’ve been doing wrong!! Thank you so much.
