1) It's pitchsnap mode, it goes well with the song, Fukase himself is less robotic than like all of the cryptonloids, he's pretty realistic and 2) He can sing low, only his Japanese voicebank goes screechy when singing too high, English is fine so I don't get what you're talking about. English can't sing too low or he sounds like a motor bike so if this was an octive lower the verses would be super flat and not understandable at all.
Years later, here once again. I always digged heartbreaker's songs, Boundary with VY1V4 is a banger. On another note, I always interpreted this song with gay lenses because the "until I come to terms with who I am" sounded very coming out-ish for my teen self. Very nostalgic to be here again.
