Vinyl Wrap Tumbler Tutorial. In this video I will show you 3 ways to wrap a cup with adhesive patterned vinyl. I would not recommend attempting this with thick textured or metallic chrome vinyls since they have less elasticity than these patterned vinyls. You could probably get great results with Oracal 651/631 solid colors as well. In this tutorial I’m using a 17oz All-In-One Straight and a 20oz Skinny tumbler from www.crafthaven.com.

First of all, all I watch is your channel for tutorials and you are my inspiration! I purchased materials with the impression to do a wrap I needed to do water slide or heat transfer! Thank you for another awesome video! When you did the quick glitter method for the half wrap vinyl did you tape off the vinyl portion? How soon after you epoxied did you pull the tape from it? Thank you! Can't wait to try out these techniques
Jeanette Decker yes, I taped off the vinyl section, spray painted my base color again just to make sure it was good, then did the quick glitter, then pull tape after about 1.5 hours.

some of my other videos show it in the beginning but mainly just lightly sand the whole cup and wipe it down with acetone and it's fine

Hi...thank you so much for your videos for one, I did have a question though, can you use the glitter epoxy method over the vinyl to make a kind of ombré-vinyl look ??? Like glitter at the bottom leading up into a vinyl decal.
Yes you can! I have done that over waterslide. We can do a tutorial on it soon :-)

I'm having a hard time with putting vinyl all the way up on a curve on a water bottle. Its so much easier to drink from a water bottle with a spout you can open. I have a picture for reference, but not my video so didn't want to post here. I really want to make it for a Christmas party this weekend you are amazing BTW!!!
Maybe just apply through the middle and glitter on either end where it curves? I’ve got a video like that on the channel 😊 it’s a newer one

Hello , loved your video. I’m just starting so this helped a lot. Do you have a video on how you did the bottom & the top pink section the cup that has the black hearts ? You mention that after the glitter you applied something and then applied the last layer. I’m a visual learner lol so sometimes is hard for me to really understand it.

Do you use permanent or removable vinyl? Also, when placing a tumbler on the turner with epoxy why do you use a heat gun on them in some videos?
Thank you! I use a heat gun and a torch depending on what I'm doing. The patterned vinyl is considered removable I guess.
I was wondering where you got the X-Acto knife the very sharp one that you have. Also why do you have to prep a cup if you’re putting vinyl on it wouldn’t it be the same if you I haven’t been prepped first let me know what you think and I appreciate your input
So if I wanted to do a cup like this what kind of vinyl do I use. Is it heat transfer vinyl or permanent vinyl?
I am trying the vinyl blending in the bottom with matching spray paint and I can’t get my white paint to match the white dotted vinyl… ’m not giving up though!
Love your channel! How do you seal your cup you don’t epoxy? I’ve been stuck on this, because all the sealer I’ve tried scratches easy? Not a wrapped cup but just any vinyl design
If you don't seal with epoxy, it remains unsealed.

Erin Vercruysse while it’s tapered, it is mostly straight so it’s pretty easy to get it on there nicely

Any advice for cleaning up the bottom of a cup that has a more rounded bottom rim, like a Hogg brand cup?
Amanda Gilbert on a full wrap? I’d trim it right around the bottom, epoxy a couple times, then tape off and spray paint the bottom

So cute! Could regular scrap booking paper with a layer of sealing spray paint be used?
Yes, you can use scrap book paper. You would use mod podge to apply and seal it A LOT with the mod podge and allow a lot of time for the mp to fully dry.

Hello, his is a very nice cup. I still don't understand how to get the bottom to look like that.
Thank you 😊 what are you having a hard time with? After applying the vinyl, apply and seal the glitter then epoxy over the whole cup until smooth, then tape off around the bottom and spray paint the bottom white or whatever color your vinyl is, then remove the tape and epoxy the whole cup again.
