Is it possible to throw away the old tire pressure sensors and reinitialize the system telling it there are no more stupid sensors. All this luxury crap is pissing me off.
All four batteries died in my 2011 Lexus IS350. I thought you could just buy the batteries which costs just under $4 a piece. NO. Lexus dealer will not open up the sensor to replace this. I believe there hermetically sealed, they can be replaced. Each sensor costs $110, so times four, labor, reprogramming, all came out to $1,500 installed out door with tax. What a load of bshit! Lexus apparently knows these batteries will die and you can't just swap a new battery in it? The sensors will last with a fresh new battery. And the 2011 version DOES not let you know which tire pressure needs air, nor the pressure in each tire, these came out in the 2012+ models.
Yes, it’s kind of a racket and there’s really no way to do it yourself technically you can you can buy the sensors on eBay put them in your car but then you got to take them in to get reprogrammed which is probably cheaper than the alternative but yes, unfortunately in the reality is their batteries don’t last forever so you have to caveat that in there

this also works on a 2012 lexus is 250
Thank you!
Thanks it worked on mine 06
baldo aguilar fantástic! Thanks for stopping by Baldo,) more Lexus help vides in my playlist for the 06 . Jonni
This did not work for me. When I press the On button (over 3 seconds) nothing happened. It did not get to initialize? Any ideas?
The TPMS sensors only last 5 to 6 years so if your car is older than that, they’re probably toast time to replace,)
The batteries in them only last 5 to 6 years then they die so they have to be replaced. Read through some of the comments you’ll get a better understanding. 👍
I just replaced all 4... Tire Techs tried syncing/reprog it with no luck...
@@standomingo7215 take to a tire store they have tool to sync it
Can someone please get back to me my Lexus has this symbol but I’m not sure if it could be because I have aftermarket rims on plus my tires are full of air
You need to take these sensors to a dealer and have them sync it to the computer if you have aftermarket wheels
Thank you so much.
Welcome 🙏
Thank you !
Welcome 🙏
The battery is replaceable?? I thought they weren’t
MARY CHRISTINE ANDERSON Unfortunately you need to replace them if you’re really handy you Can unsolder the battery and replace the battery but then you have to be able to sync them all up which requires taking them to a dealer. It’s kind of a racket frankly~
Jonni Armani awwh man thats how they get us. Lol ty
MARY CHRISTINE ANDERSON They get us one way or the other don’t they have a great weekend thanks for stopping by,)
I do not understand a language with a chat voice only. Can you write what solved the error? Thank you
Same result as you in the 08 350
Unfortunately these only last about 5 to 6 years so the TPS sensors have to be replaced sooner or later
This is happening to my daughter's '06' Lexus. If you replace the sensor's do you know how to reprogram them or can you just reset them?
If you try to put the sensors in yourself you’re gonna need to take them to a tire store to have them programmed to the car I would just take your car to discount tire or somewhere like that and just have them do it because they have the computer to calibrate it
@@JonniArmani Ok, thank you, at least I know how to get rid of the light. Thanks again
@@66lwmorgan my pleasure 🙌🙌
That sensor light indicates the need to check tire pressure and probably add some air, that’s all
THANK YOU!!!!!!!
Welcome 👊👊
Does this work on a is350 2006
Benny Blanco it should! Let me know if you have the same setup ! Should work though )
Yeah. Tried this on a family member's 2006 IS350 today. It works, but I need new sensors now haha.
Thanks my dude
Khanh Le most welcome,) did it work for you?
@@JonniArmani
THANK YOU
Tried it and it never said “Initializing”. What could this be??
@@JonniArmani ok thanks much i’ll check it out!
Is this what I need to to if I have a check system light on and the little yellow tire symbol? I tried just putting air in the tires but light is still on. Wonder if the spare has a tpms sensor too?
VapeKing You can try it but chances are you have sensors that are out - I have the same problem still and I have to replace my sensors in my wheels
@@JonniArmani ah ok thanks! I will try it if no go I will have it checked out.
VapeKing Let me know what you find out I’d be happy to share it,)
@@JonniArmani hi, what brand sensor did you get, and how did you reprogram your car to recognize the new sensors? The dealership wants to charge like 1000+ to replace all 4 sensors....Crazy.
@@IronCan88 I have been driving with the tire light on its annoying but thats about it. The trick is you have to sync them and I think only a shop can do it. So if your handy you can get a set from eBay pretty cheap and then take them to the tire store to sync. Hope that helps a bit.)
Where can I buy a battery ??
Benny Blanco O'Reilly Auto Parts ) I just bought one
So is it one or all 4
Jonni Armani so is it 4 of them or just one
Benny Blanco Tell them the make and model of your car and get the extreme battery it will last longer,)
I keep holding the button on my 2008 is250 but it never resets or initializes no matter how long I hold it. Anyone else have this problem
09. Same issue just times out
me too
How much do tire sensors cost 😕😕
Mariahnicole C You can go on eBay and you can get a set of them for as low as $49 but you have to put them in and that’s the tricky part so then you have to sync them all together to the computer which is why you really need to take it to a store. They got us! Lol
@@JonniArmani is possible to just throw away the sensors and tell the system to not check that feature?
Null Null not that I know of - the computer keeps looking for the signal and will throw a light on dash when it can’t hear it. I just drive around with the light on the dash doesn’t affect me any,)
Didn’t work for me I got the check system message ??
Sensor is probably out ,)
Hi! So I’ve been having this problem for a week now. My front left tire was repressurized a couple days before the “check system” message started showing so it could be that. Is it possible to have this error message show due to other issues with the car and not just the tires? I have a 2007 IS250, 175k miles and on its 2nd trans already. It’s been used and abused. I just wanna make sure it’s a tire sensor issue and not something else. Thank you.
It's the tire sensor my car is the same way
Hello! I have the same problem right now. 2007 lexus is250 175km. I did all the steps in this video and inflate the tires at correct car's PSI. How did you fix it? Please let me know! Very much appreciated!!!
@@sponcheyanderson3021 hi! I ended up replacing all the sensors. I got new 4 from eBay then had my dad install them. This is from multiple attempts of doing this and the message just wont go away. Hope this helps.
Is this harming my car?
just resets the sensor for the tires.
Mine doesn’t even beep I don’t get it
The car has to be on & in park for it to reset. The process takes up to 5 minutes....welcome 😉😂
Thank you 👊👊💥
It not working for 3 seconds, still same for me
Thank uuuuu
Welcome,) did it work for ya?
Is it possible to throw away the old tire pressure sensors and reinitialize the system telling it there are no more stupid sensors. All this luxury crap is pissing me off.
not that I know of its required by the system computer.or you'll get the code
Yes, it’s kind of a racket and there’s really no way to do it yourself technically you can you can buy the sensors on eBay put them in your car but then you got to take them in to get reprogrammed which is probably cheaper than the alternative but yes, unfortunately in the reality is their batteries don’t last forever so you have to caveat that in there
No help but thanks
Changing batteries inside the wheel..... thats like telling me to change my blinker fluid...WTF
They have batteries- I just spent 300 to replace mine-
@@JonniArmani uhhhh for what car? I found sensors for under $60. Put them on for $80 and i hope i dont regret it
@@imaycare5927 Let us know how that works out I think you actually have to have a calibration tool to sync the computer to the tire sensors

@@JonniArmani they said they can’t do anything about it they want me to buy the sensors from them and they want 60 dollars for each when the oem are 80 for all 4 on eBay. I am downloading Toyota tech stream to see if I can do something with it
@@JonniArmani Yh I think you are correct, I felt like they were going to work because they had 5 starts revieweds and like 30k sales on eBay American tires said they always have trouble with Lexus and Toyota sensors
