Saving up for my first crawler, been watching a lot of UA-cam videos. Your videos have been the most informative! You help me to make decisions on what to buy and what to avoid, really appreciate your vast knowledge and how you easily explain things without a bunch of filler and nonsense. Thanks man!
I always make it to the end of your videos and series. They are always clear and concise. As a newbie I learned so much from these. Thank you for taking the time to make them!
Thanks for making this so simple for me to understand. I put those steel rally’s on my Gen8 and after 15 minutes, I tore up the pinion in the differential. Redcat covered it under warranty, so hopefully they are now using better metal.
Great video Can you tell me a good metal beadlock wheel that is easy to change. And not with 32 screws like you said 😅 its for a trx bronco i want something shiny 😛
Plug the vents on your front tires and assemble them underwater so your tire is full of water you will add approximately 8 to 10 oz per tire and you will be amazed at how well they do. If you're in a very cold area then you can fill them with windshield washer solvent that's good for below zero. I leave my fome's in my tires when I fill them with fluid. I've been doing it for years and haven't had any problems.
While heavy front wheels isn't much of a problem for the drive train, it does demand more from the servo and motor. I prefer to have the wheels at a moderate weight (aluminium rims and no added weights) and then go all in on the axle.
I just added a set of aluminum beadlock wheels the other day. I have not had a chance to run it yet. My only concern is the center ring does not have any holes in it. So the tires are semi pneumatic, they are sealed. I've thought about taking them apart and drilling a couple holes through the center ring but, as you alluded to it's a PIA with the multiple fasteners to remove and reinstall. What are your thoughts?
Super explained again. Keep up those quality videos. And you are right, beadlocks can sometimes be very easy and fast to install, but sometimes it is also quite some work. I have a video on my channel where I show a DIY simple and cheap tool to make it easier to install a beadlock.
Excellent as always! 😎 The points made on WEIGHTING Wheels is spot on. One thing... Instead of Solder, which can be CAUSTIC and harmful to the Tires, Wheels - and your HANDS!! 😲 Use "String" or "Pencil Lead" *Fishing Wire Sinker.* It acts and LOOKS like Solder, but NO Acid or Rosin Core!! And it's heavier by the Foot! Can be found at most Sporting Goods Stores. 😉 Carmine ✈🚂🚙
Always great videos from you guys! I have 4 crawlers and run 4 different tire/foam/wheel combinations and, what a difference it makes. I have the stock method plastic wheels with BFG KO2 on my SCX10ii, they are great for rock crawling but really struggle in loose or wet conditions. I have Proline SS mounted to heavy plastic wheels and dual stage foams on my SCX10 Jeep and they work very well on all terrains i have tried them on. My RC4WD LWB runs cheap plastic wheels and foams with Maxxis trepador tires and they work pretty well. I just ordered some heavy steel beadloks for my SCX10 and i plan to swap all the wheelsets around. i want to try the Traxxas TRX4 stock tires with the mods you showed in the other tire series videos on some steel beadloks, i heard lots of good about the Traxxas tires.
Hi, completely appreciate your vidz. Just let me know your thoughts about wpl c14 tuning. That’s my sons and my first rig. Best regards from Germany. Peace!
How do you guys like the Proline BFG KM3 tires? I know you guys normally use a different Proline tire, but the KM3 have my eye since I have them on my real truck :-P
Jason Hoffman did you go with the km3’s? I’m trying to figure out what foam to use with them and vanquish kmc beadlocks. I’m going to add about 1 point to my Blazer trx4 and the stock traxxas foam I think is ok but maybe can do better with proline 2 stage. I don’t want the tires to collapse though or look flat
Running the Hyrax 1.9 Predator with Dual Stage Proline foams and TREAL aluminum bead Locks on my Axe, compared to the stock wheels and tires it feels like cheating.

Exactly. We watch a lot of videos too and want to eliminate the nonsense and blind loyalty. We like the enthusiasm though and will do more of that.
I just got a Trx4 yesterday so I’ve been binging your videos for ideas to modify it. This is gonna get pricey for sure
Oh snap. Hide the credit card.

Thanks man all three parts of this video was a huge help.....thank you very much

Much appreciated. We try to share what we learn!!

These videos have helped me so much 👍😎
Great stuff! I would luv to see 2 of the same rigs.... w different wheel tire foam configurations go head to head on some rocks!
For sure! That doesn't exist and we're very curious too.
Very informative, your videos are awesome, and i hope you keep making them😀
Right on, much appreciated. Our next one will be even better.

I’ve been super impressed with the GMade SR series beadlocks. Mine are the SR04

What are the steel wheels that are shown in the video. I really like they style and cant find them to buy
they are g-made steel beadlocks
can you give me some names of some good wheels for the trx 4 sport thanks. great videos
Any 1.9" metal beadlock wheel.
No matter if four pieces cost 20$ from Aliexpress or 150$ from Rc4wd or Vanquish

Great Series, very helpful, You guys should put your logo on your back screen to break up some of that white background. Just a thought.

No way bud!!!! Yes, we made a tool too to compress the wheel through the hub hole so the bolts can be screwed in!
You gotta do a video on the hair bun “foams” and your opinion of them.

The best RC Channel ever !! 👍👍 Thank you !!
Really appreciate it. We are not the smartest but we're the most enthusiastic and eager to learn and share.
So are added weight on wheels legal in a competition?
yes
Have you changed your mind, the heavier the better? We like heavy hubs but light rims for spin, what do you think?
Great information
Very informative thanks for sharing your knowledge 👍
Appreciate it. We all learn from each other when given the opportunity.
Great video again.
I’m new to the RC world but Golfers have a lead tape that they use to add weight to clubs.
Can you do a video on snow tires for RC crawlers?
don't understand that subject unfortunately since we're in sunny CA.
@@RCReviewChannel Yeah that's gonna be difficult to do with out snow, ha ha. But what about sand tires for RC crawlers?
Surely you could take a drive up above 5,000 ft, and find some snow.
Just ordered Treal heavy weight wheels 😇
How heavy are they? (grams)

Great video series! Good information, at the end of the day what is your favorite rock tire/ wheel/ foam combo for the trx4 ?
Favorite for steep climbing is proline dual the stage form and proline hi rocks tires in predator compound

Yes, agree!!!!
Hey im new to this, I just got at4 emo because of your review!! What is the best tier wheel and foam combo you recommend?
What's the best way to unglue the tires
Bake, boil, acetone are the three common methods. Check in youtube and use the method that feels safest and most accessible for you.

hello how much weight do you have to put on each wheel? thanks
60-80 grams each. Front wheels are the priority. We usually don't touch the rears unless necessary.
@@RCReviewChannel thanks

Ordered wheels from Aliexpress with 170g each
My CoG is gonna be below ground🤣
Yeah.... definitely not going to be almost twice the weight of vanquish wheels...
Oh and by the way, are they here yet?
Change the name of your video. You talking tires more than wheels.
Great information.
Glad it was helpful!
