A studio keyboard god! I first read his name on The Jacksons "Destiny" album. I wanted to know who was playing the keyboards on "Shake Your Body Down To The Ground". I then saw his name on the Stevie Wonder album "Songs In The Key Of Life". As a child learning to play saxophone wherever I heard it, I realized liner notes were required reading.
I used to love the little dance Greg and mike did whenever he performed “bad” live. During both bad and dangerous tours. He used to always rub your bald head too lol
there's no taste in music these days, just listen to the popular music on radio, popularity depends on something else, in late 90's the latest this would have been that
Two absolute legends at what they do best - I grew up in their entire worlds of music and it’s soo amazing to be in the room with them, so to speak. Thank you for this.
Search,🔥 just on u-tube, there’s a keyboard promo, from a manufacturer, or a studio with Greg ,💥 just quoting himself on the notes. I love that. Chordal Color🇲🇱
Me who wanted to learn this song for halloween in two days : let's go! Greg when he's asked to try the opening "ooOh No" Me : "Well, see y'all next year for Thriller"
It's so weird to think about when you consider what a stable the preset is in Model D clones and plugins and then you find out it's not even the Model D. We've all been living a lie 😂 R.I.P to all the Thriller bass tutorials
Those vintage synths have a different kind of soul. especially with someone like Greg playing them.
Greg Phillinganes: one of the unsung heroes of Michael Jackson’s musical renaissance and criminally underrated

Greg is the man!!
Still its the live brass that creates the magic
Mitico Greg Philliganes. Negli anni 80 leggevi il suo nome su tutti i dischi pop e quando c' era lui, sapevi che avresti ascoltato bella musica
Is there a full video where I can watch this? 😅
Losing my mind watching all these shorts.
The full episodes are coming this month 😊
These guys are amazing. All of it relevant to making great sounds today. Can I come chill in the studio Eddie?
LEGEND...GREG P😂😂❤❤❤❤
I'm blown away man!!
This cat is up there with Larry Dunn (EW&F), Billy Beck (Ohio Players) the late great Bernie Worrell (P-Funk)
So damn cool
I hear that same combo of a Jupiter 8 and an ARP 2600 on George Benson's "Fell Like Making Love".
The Bass on that was Mini Moog
