    Great video mate... Really enjoyed it. Looks like a great trip... I'm heading out to that area after lockdown, and will be keen to try the Bicentennial Trail.

    Now that's a complete video documentation of the trip. You see, when we go into the bushes, our clock stops there. We don't have any train to catch, we don't have any family to feed, we don't have any responsibility other than survive through the situations we face. Videos need to bring out that vibe, and this one definitely does that.
    Whoever wants a quick scan, fast forward to 1:14 to see a moonlit night adventure of 4WD. I can clearly feel how much time and effort was put through to do the hard work, putting the cameras at the right place, fixing the lighting and taking care of the 4WD at the same time.
    Then FF to:
    6:12 - Upper view of the trail
    9:05 - The valley, the view
    13:30 - Aboriginal art
    16:19 - The pool
    Worth a visit guys! Bushfires of 2019 gave the place a different look. Nature takes care of itself and the plants are reviving from those ashes like Phoenix. Beautiful video as always, Cheers Shane!

      One of the hardest things about making these videos is not getting too caught up in the moment and forgetting to get the camera out 😅

    Nice video mate. Gotta love the Lithgow area. How do you like the Garmin Overlander?

    • @shaneod
      @shaneod  3 роки тому

      Cheers mate.
      The Overlander in my opinion has its good and its bad points. I still find myself getting out my phone for google maps because it can’t find the street or the location I’m after. In saying that, it does go quite good off road on navigating through various tracks and keeping my location pretty accurate. It does however not have all the tracks loaded into it and sometimes it shows I’m driving in the middle of the bush.
      Overall I’m happy with it but I feel the data it uses is dated and that can get annoying from time to time...
      Hope that gives you a good enough answer mate

      @@shaneod thanks for getting back to me mate. It’s definitely a good enough answer. $1000 for less than perfection haha.

      @@JarradDRS yeah pretty much mate, it does have other features but ultimately you buy it for the map functionality and the features are a bonus really...

      @@shaneod it’s good to hear firsthand about them from someone in Australia. The yanks talk them up, but the maps would be far more suited for their use.

    "Just been graded"! Councils won't take care of our roads but will grade a perfectly good and challenging 4wd track!🤣🤣
    Loved the video, few more topless shots wouldn't hurt either😉
    😀 watched, liked and subscribed. Feel free to check us out! 😘🇦🇺

      Haha well winter is coming so we may have to wait until next summer now 😉

      They grade it for emergency services, eg fire trucks to get through, after the fires and floods, it was impassable.

    • @shaneod
      @shaneod  2 роки тому
