    I started PCing a couple years ago and found when my lead gets up to 400 ( cheap infrared gun) and then I start my 20 min cook the PC gets a very good bond to the lead. I run 9mm / 1150fps and the barrel is cleaner than FMJ.

    Man those look good. I get speckles on mine where the pellets stick together but I haven't been water dropping. I also been using a higher temp. 400+ I'm gonna change it up. Thanks for the touch up,video.👍❤️

    What is the purpose of powder coating buckshot? Is it to prevent barrel leading? If so then if the hull is too small to accommodate without bulging the you can remove the petals from the wad?

    I know this is way off topic of this video but I don't do Facebook and I wanted to reach out to you about some hulls that Ballistic Products has In Stock right now. They are 20 gauge Cheddite hulls primed with Magnum Primers. I ordered a bag to play with and of course I'd be interested in seeing what you could do with them. I've never seen magnum primed 20 gauge hulls for sale and I've never personally thought about using magnum primers to reload 20 gauge with. Thanks for all that you do, take care.

      No worries! When using mag primers in shotgun rounds, all you need to do is drop 5% off of the max powder charge and you will be good to go! Wade

    Looking to tap into other powdercoater's Experience ! Does anyone powdercoat muzzleloader roundballs ( I'm looking to do some .490 & .495cal for a Hawken reproduction .50 cal caplock) or LEE'S
    50 cal "REAL" bullets.
    Can powdercoated roundballs take the place of a patched ball and if so, is there a one coat powdercoat that goes on thick enough to do the job of the cloth patch ??? Any Experienced help would be greatly appreciated.......

    Wade, an issue I am having coating is container used and static electricity. Is the tumbler the key to success with the Static Electricity that it creates? Thanks for your help!

    • @BubbaRountreeOutdoors
      @BubbaRountreeOutdoors  Рік тому

      for me it was a major issue. the tumbler seemed to solve all of problems that I was having! also, a good quality powder will make a lot of difference as well. Eastwood makes a great powder. Most of the Military surplus powders work very well!

      @@BubbaRountreeOutdoors Thank you! One more question, for long term storage, do you think that the Eastwood powder coating will hold up on cast bullets and buckshot? I am wondering if the powder coated will dissolve? Any input is greatly appreciated.

      @@BubbaRountreeOutdoors so I would assume that your tumbling method creates a bit harder surface than the avg powder coating and that left that way actually is a bit better! I’m going to buy one of the harbor freight rock tumblers and go to it. I’ve cast and loaded quite a bit of buck shot but I like to learn new things and better, more precise methods of doing it!. If you think steel shot is hard on barrels, use powder coating. Looks cool, but it's harder than ceramics. And, there is NO flex at all.

    • @jeffh6276

      I don't believe that is correct. I can easily cut it with a file and I can smash a powder-coated bullet with a hammer and it continues to adhere.
