U used it wrong! it should have fired their meteors and then quickly land and reoload at an ordinary way, and then up again!!!! They are NOT designed to fly without weapons!!!!!!!!!!! So once again u underestimate Gripen E. They can land and fuel and rearm at secret ways in just 10 minutes, and then come as a second way!!!! And they are not so easy to kill cause of its electronic warfare systems!!! have a happy x mas gyes! 😊
Fun fact the Grippen beat the Su-57 in a competition for Brazil hence why it was chosen (tells alot about the Felon). In regards to Brazil not having the F-35, well that is because the F-35 is for a specific clientele, namely NATO and close close allies. The F-35 is not an aircraft the average nation is allowed.
Scenario idea: Venezula still has a claim on the Dutch island of Curaçao. Curaçao is excluded from article 5 Nato as i believe. Can the Dutch defend the island from Venezula?
Could a rouge F-22 take down AF1 while F-16s or F-18s or other fighter suited for the mission of protecting AF1 and escorting and defending AF1. It looks like they use the quite old Gripen C in the simulation. (or at least some of the stats from gripen C), Gripen E is considerably better being able to fire missiles in 270 degrees. Also the gripen production is also in full swing, supose to make 33 more in about 3 more years, so that would be about 11 per year, since the 7 Gripen in Brasilian airforce was from May, that sugest that its probobly 5 or 6 more now.

As far as I know, Sweden doesn't have an antiradiation missile.
F-35 is capable of operating from normal highways for example so doesn't always need an airfield. Can't post a link but you can google "Finland f35 highway base". When Finland was choosing its next fighter to replace old f-18s one of the requirements was that in wartime planes can be dispersed in small highway bases around the country. Same reason propably why back in the days we choose f-18 instead of f-16. So seems like f-35 can handle some rough terrain just fine.
If when you say "we chose the F-18 instead of the F-16" you mean Canada I'm pretty sure the requirement at that time was dual engines, so it would have been F18 vs F-15.
I was talking about the case in early 1990 when Finland bought its f-18s to replace old migs/drakens. There was ppl asking why a nation without aircraftcarriers or allies with carriers was buying carrier fighters. Reasons being , yes, twin engine and ability to withstand landing on a runway that wasn't polished an hour ago. Only reason why I brought it up was to highlight the fact that ability to handle rough terrain has always been required from planes we order. So f-35 doesn't always NEED an airfield. @@robjohnson5872
Any prop job that will tangle with jets with just a few old Sidewinders and a cannon is always going to be my champion. Balls of concrete to try that! Another spectacular areal battle to help me thru this Covid hell I am in. First time dealing with this and it is quite sucky. I also need a GR tutorial on the Apache FCR. So far I have not found a decent one that is worthy of my time. The one released by Wags is brilliant but like most of his videos, way too advanced for my level. Just tell me what to bind and how to put warheads on foreheads. I will figure the rest out on my own. THAT'S what makes the Super Cap tutorial so good. And is it available on all maps? I tried it on the Persian Gulf I believe and it says FCR not installed. Strange...
The geopolitics thing is interesting. Canada for example finally chose the F35 over the Gripen, even though the F35 cannot even fly from our northern airbases whereas the Gripen was designed for it, nor does it have the legs the Gripen has. Saab was also going to grant Canada manufacturing rights, which would have re-started our moribund aerospace industry, killed when PM Diefenbaker caved into America's demands and cancelled (and destroyed) the Avro Arrow and all that talent went south to NASA. So again we caved to keep interoperability with America and bought Fat Amys. It's a great plane, a flying supercomputer, but not near the fit for our needs that the Gripen is.
The F-35 has more range and payload than the gripen. The gripen is a light fighter, and just isn't as capable. Canada is also in the F-35 program and actively manufactures parts for it.
@@gundamator4709 You are wrong. Fat Amy has a cruise range of only 1500nmi and a combat range of 670nmi. The Gripen has much larger cruise range of 2000nmi, though a shorter combat radius of 500nmi. It's also significantly faster with a top speed of mach 2.0 compared to mach 1.6 for the F-35. As well it's a delicate flower and needs a full airstrip to even fly. It is foolish to say the F35 carries more weapons when it can only do so by breaking it's stealth, it's biggest combat advantage. F35's still a great plane, it's just a poor fit for Canada's sovereignty protection needs which are in the north where the ice is melting rapidly.
@@exidy-yt Firstly combat range is what matters, unless you want to send an unarmed fighter to go fight the enemy? Speed can be an important factor when intercepting but the Gripen has to carry all its missiles externally which combined with its small size would limit speed. The F-35 can carry the same air to air missile load internally that the gripen can carry externally. If you want the full combat radius you would probably have to carry external fuel tanks, which would mean the gripen is stuck with 2 2000lb weapons like the f-35 can internally. In regards to the F-35 carrying external stores, it gets a massive buff and even with compromised stealth still is better seeing as it has better sensors and SA. The one point I can concede is that the gripen is better from unprepared airfeilds.
@@gundamator4709 Bro you are missing my point: I'm not saying the F35 is an inferior plane to the Gripen, I'm saying for Canada's needs it's a much poorer fit then the Gripen, especially when factoring in the non combat aspects. Patrol range matters FAR more then combat range in a land the size of Canada, combat speed is rarely needed in non-wartime intercepts. Also consider the manufacturing rights that Saab offered and Brazil wisely took them up on. Embraer will benefit hugely from this and will surely pass Bombardier in consequence. I could go on but I hope i've made my point clearer.
You know, it's kind of funny how inspiration starts. I got a die cast Naboo N-1 fighter from the Mandalorian, and then you guys show off that beautiful Super Tucano (modern turboprop trainers are just amazing). Long story short, I need to draw a Naboo "N-1T" Trainer with a two place bubble canopy and the astro-mech socket. 😂😂😂
Gripen are built by Embraer in Brazil today. I'd put the humans in them and let the meteor's take out VZ with no risk. Brazil made IBM manufacture locally to buy their PC's. Pretty standard practice in Brazil. VZ has no budget for an airforce in the last decade.
So this is kinda a random question and may actually make for an interesting discussion on a future video. Have any of the US strategic bombers been equipped to carry gbu 39 and or gbu 53 I’m really interested to know how many of those things they can carry especially the b52 😂
Gripen is easily maintenance and can land and take off from a road or a field. And yeah, it’s easy to fly. Conscripts can fly them after just a year or so. They are manufactured just for that, easy to fly, easy to maintain and can land or take off from a road or a field. Great planes. And they got that network that is the best. If one sees something everyone every pilot in that network will have the same info. And they got a huge touchscreen in the middle to control everything
Grippen was picked for a range of reasons. But tech transfer to Brazil was huge. Operating costs are lower. And lastly the initial buy price of the F35 is a lie. They put the airframe cost low, but look at the actual acquisition contract prices. Most nations are paying 200 million or more per F35 once weapons, software, maintenance, tooling and training are factored in.
No. Due to economics of scale the F-35 is not more expensive (definitely not "several times") and will even probably be cheaper in the long run than Gripen E. The Czech Republic government published this conclusion after receiving offers for F-35 and Gripen E. The opinion of the F-35 being expensive mostly originates from the high development costs for the three variants in the USA. This does not concern other governments, which simply want to purchase fighter jets.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the reason why Brazil went with the Gripen rather than the F-35 has to do with the Lula government's current "adversarial" attitude with the United States. The US has always had issues with any allies embracing socialism in any form and Lula is only behind Maduro in how they are viewed as a boogeyman in the US State Department.
No, Cap said that in the video, he is using them as a replacement for the Python IV which venezuela does have, but he didn't have them, and he said they are about equal in performance so he decided they'll do

This was for fun, I live in sweden, but irl Gripen E is much better than in this video. 😊
It’s honestly such a cool mix up of aircraft.
Happy Christmas to all from Colorado!
Merry Christmas!
Iv have always wondered how possible it is to avoid missile lock/kill IRL like how well do flares, jaming, and EM work?
If the FAA/RAF had F35b in strength this would have been a scenario for a carrier sortie.
Nice massive battle 😀
Is there any way to see the players POV in this battle?
Great fun edge of my seat entertainment!
Could a rouge F-22 take down AF1 while F-16s or F-18s or other fighter suited for the mission of protecting AF1 and escorting and defending AF1. I think the escorts can’t fight back till detecting anything with the AWACS as well would be fair but make what you think works best. Good luck love the vids❤
plenty of people talked about how the 35s weren't offered and about the tech transfer but one of you in the video made a point, which was also one of the reasons:
gripens were bought on a 30 years loan with subsidised interest by the govt of sweden
it was a hard deal
Merry Christmas to you all ☃️❄️☃️🌟👍
Merry Christmas!
I really like your vids and I would ask if you could do an eurofighter vs f22
Falto integrar los Mirage 2000c que tiene Brasil en estado de preservación.

they're out of service for quite some time ):
As a Brazilian, this scenario scares me a little
It looks like they use the quite old Gripen C in the simulation. (or at least some of the stats from gripen C), Gripen E is considerably better being able to fire missiles in 270 degrees.
Also the gripen production is also in full swing, supose to make 33 more in about 3 more years, so that would be about 11 per year, since the 7 Gripen in Brasilian airforce was from May, that sugest that its probobly 5 or 6 more now.
this is a game dude dont be dumb
@@BarManFesteiro hello there kind sir. I know this is a game - I’m referring to the possibility of armed conflict on South America involving Venezuela, Guiana and Brazil, which I suppose you are aware almost happened recently. Good day!
Have to say after seeing the gripen at RIAT I would buy these over the F amys and after winning the solo display awards just shows what a dancer she is...amazing slug-fest guys thank you another dinner gone cold and a beer gone warm
I am from sweden, u r right! Gripen is far better then in this video.
Enjoyed.
I am just wondering, is there any way to get your Mission files? I would love to try some of these Missions with my buddies
What is a Greepen?
You forgot to put the Mar-1 anti rad missile that brazil has
I was not aware they had the Mar-1.
@@grimreapers we created the MAR-1
Wow, that is an incredibly good addition to the armory! Do they have them integrated with the Gripen Es?
@@totalNERD-eo7wx Yes, the Gripen is capable to use the Mar-1and also has LinkBR2 (Brazils DataLink) capability
@@cabritoanimations403 In that case, the Gripen is even more crucial to Brazil's long term defense plans. Heck, with the potential for the Sea Gripen, Brazil may grow a respectable amount of power projection as well.
Also, I imagine that Sweden might be interested in the missile, what do you think?
"Strange position where both sides are being supplied missiles by Israel"
Well. Its not THAT strange.
Good thinking!
why not let humans fly the super tacano's. so mismatched, but let them fly low and slow below Sam radar level with some ground attack missles??
the modernized f5's are actualy not a bad idea....cheaper but competent fighter
Yeah that's 4th fighter jet
Could one US Destroyer defend US and Guyana Interest against the entire Venezuela Airforce? Possibly even navy?
Wouldn't the Venezuelan force be better off staying within the cover of their SAM net?
Gripen are built by Embraer in Brazil today. I'd put the humans in them and let the meteor's take out VZ with no risk. Brazil made IBM manufacture locally to buy their PC's. Pretty standard practice in Brazil. VZ has no budget for an airforce in the last decade.
There's no way Brazil would put more than half of their air force in a battle like this.
There’s no way any country would… the video is for entertainment purposes ffs
Just those F16S is problem but those F5EM can carry on python 5 and electronic warfare pad too
More Brasil stuff please!!!!
So this is kinda a random question and may actually make for an interesting discussion on a future video.
Have any of the US strategic bombers been equipped to carry gbu 39 and or gbu 53
I’m really interested to know how many of those things they can carry especially the b52 😂
There is a mod for the entire Brazilian Navy, Helicopter carrier and all, if you are willing to check that out
The Tucanos might have been useful trying to low level raid the EGRs.
Need to take a look at south Korea fa 50
Venezuela certainly doesn't have all these aircraft! because a poor country is bankrupt, they barely have money to maintain the aircraft
A new map tech will do good for dcs.
Do I see Aim-120 coming from F5??, this is not realistic.
Yes F5EM can carry on AIM120D and python 5 with 4th generation avc and x band radar and full digital cockpit and can carry on flares and chaff

This... But with modern spec Brazilian F-20 and Gripens.
F5EM not F20
I wonder if the Russian's were pissed at SpaceX for using their missile's lattice fin tech on SpaceX rockets to control rocket landings? lol
I have to subtract points... No Argentinian Air Force with Cap in a Pucara! :D
Yeah it is a bird I do want to see again on the channel.
I love F-5...reckon there will ever be an F-20?

Gripen is several times less expensive to operate than F-35. + some technological knowhow transfer from Sweden to Brazil.
Very fun!
Doesn't Brazil have M2000s?
@mattoliveiraeugenio did not know that. I figured they'd outlast the F-5s, but I suppose they were second-hand.
Is it the true Gripen e? If so they got their own network, if one sees something everyone will se them.
The R-77 actually preformed decently today idk why cap was so salty about them 😂
Yessssssss
I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the reason why Brazil went with the Gripen rather than the F-35 has to do with the Lula government's current "adversarial" attitude with the United States. The US has always had issues with any allies embracing socialism in any form and Lula is only behind Maduro in how they are viewed as a boogeyman in the US State Department.

venezuela doesnt have the aim 9x.
No, Cap said that in the video, he is using them as a replacement for the Python IV which venezuela does have, but he didn't have them, and he said they are about equal in performance so he decided they'll do
