Seth Kauffman You're wrong, some of them are really really good, specially the number 1 (pve related ofc) I also have never played Bloodborne (god bless PS plus) but I ain't new to the Souls series, however you can't just call the best weapon of the game, because there are a lot of things that can influence a weapon, such as utility, move set, scaling, if they're good for pve or pvp, lore (some people just go with that) and usefulness or quality (both pve or pvp in this case) or even personal taste like design, sound effects etc. So it is quite wrong to throw this video like a clickbait bc it is not, such previous points make it hard to pint point a top. Of course some are top tier and it all comes to an agreement that the weapon is good or broken but if you want to see a video that is unbiased then you'll never find it. However if you want to see a more "serious" video I recommend you visit PvPSkills channel he's a cool guy and knows his shit. But Keep in mind that everybody is going to be subjectiv on this topic. Good luck on your Hunt, and may you find your worth in the waking world
man bloodborne is the game that gives you the best weapon at the start of thr game and you'll mainly use that weapon till the end of the game... *COUGH* saw cleaver
I mean, the first dark souls let's you get the zweihander at the start too, and if you were good at the game(or watched some tutorials) you could get the gravelord greatsword at the start as well
eh, used it to an exhaustion in BL 4 runs, but yeah it's a beast. Made this a while ago though, I think now I'd add Beasthunter Saif, Chikage and probably place Burial Blade much higher. But then again I wouldn't want to remove any from this list. Too many good weapons!
saw cleaver is like everyone's final weapon lol saif is beast and i prefer chikage on normal enemies not in bosses that much, unless i do a chikage run only lol
+Vemrathin NA i was responding to the comments about burial blades ,however, i cant lie saw cleaver does have that natural stun and does a shit ton of damage, but if you really want kickass damage u need to get uncanny or lost saw cleaver n go to the dungeons n farm sum 22+ phys dam bloodgems... also if we're talking PvP I'd rather go mercy blades or Ludwig's holy blade just becuz I'm use to the play style and if you get uncanny mercy blades u an equip better bloodgems to it and it becomes OP as fuck
Top 8 bloodborne problem solvers 1. Kirkhammer 2. Kirkhammer 3. Kirkhammer 4. Kirkhammer 5. Hunter axe- just kidding Kirkhammer 6. Kirkhammer 7. Kirkhammer 8. And last but certainly not least moonlight greatsword
Meh I'd rather use tricked Ludwig's if I want a weapon with good stagger. Or tricked Beastcutter. Ludwig's doesn't require sweet spotting, has better crowd control attacks, a much better charge R2, and the 1h straight sword of Ludwig's is objectively just a better version of the Kirkhammer's straight sword.
I don’t comment with critiques on many videos because people having the courage to make a video and put out content to help and/or entertain others earns a certain amount of respect but... I have to say that your video has a strangely satisfying flow/composition to it. It is just very well done for a text overlay style video. A lot of times it feels like a person making a video just enjoys hearing themselves talk but your video manages to be both humble and yet make you look knowledgeable and skilled while still showing your slight personal bias towards and against certain weapons. Anyway not that my opinion matters at all but I found your video to possibly be one of the best tutorial/opinion videos on a video game I’ve ever watched. Well done.
I did this just for fun back then,, when literally no one except like 1 or 2 friends watched, I do not look back fondly on the video at all, it's poorly edited... That being said, I'm happy you enjoyed it and thank you for the kind words :)
This is what I love about this game, a lot of great weapons its so difficult to decide what to use. Even if the Saw Cleaver and Whirligig Saw are the two top weapons, the other weapons are so fun. A true masterpiece.
start of the game it's super weak and doesn't get powerful until the later rounds of the game, so it's easy to just give up on it before you see it's true potential
Just google image "bloodborne trick weapon"... Seeing that many different cool ideas for new weapons just makes me die inside. People have said Bloodborne doesn't need a sequel... BUT WE DO!!
people (myself included) don't want a squeal because it means it would most likely be PS4 exclusive. I've been playing bloodbourne recently using my uncle's PS4, and I'll probably get one eventually myself, but I would much rather play these games on PC. I noticed a lot of stuttering on PS4 and I never see that sort of thing when playing any of the Dark souls games on PC. It doesn't look anywhere near as fluid.
MrLolMachine i dont want a sequel because exclusives suck, especially console exclusives. Stuttering is an issue in a game as fast paced as this. Id also hesitate to call this a masterpiece. The original dark souls maybe, but bloodbourne's level/world design is kind of a mess imo.
My favorite will always be the boom hammer. It's a pity more people don't use it, I swear I never see anyone who does. I bought the game with the dlc at the same time and did suicide runs in the hunters nightmare for two hours to get the weapons, and the boom hammer just stuck out among the rest. It had a viscious weight behind every blow, every attack in its admittedly short moveset served a purpose, and I can't begin to explain how great it felt to light up the hammer and deliver a charged R2 that would *send enemise flying*. The slow swings made the weapon near-cinematic to use, as I had time to process every hit I delivered, and just the way I would run towards a boss, hitting L1 and preparing for my next strike, was that kind of little detail that made my enjoyment for the game that much higher. For not to mention, it's a weapon that always let me use guns, which are my favorite type of weapons in bloodborne. That way the weapon is designed around bloodborne's more unique parrying mechanics, making it feel more logical for my hunter to use that sort of weapon, as well as making the combat feel less like dark souls.
I agree with you on the moonlight greatsword being well done in bloodborne cause the others just stayed the same but this time it feels more unique when it transforms it actually feels like your hand is harnessing the power of the moon
When my sister saw me playing this game for the first time, her first reaction to me getting mauled by a lycanthrope was “you can’t possibly have anywhere near that much blood in your body!” To which I said “I KNOW, RIGHT!?”
Don’t even remember leaving this comment! Never would have imagined this many likes. Doing another playthrough right now, and though the big blue magic sword will never be replaced, the wheel is hilariously fun
Me too. I played with the Axe all the game until I broke it in the middle of the optional mission of the Castle of Cainhurst and I used the blades of mercy (BTW, that's a good weapon when you have it upgraded).
@@metalheadblues Hi! You can repair it. I was not careful enough and the enemies were hard as hell. Until I found a rest place, I need to use the other weapon.
Unpopular pick for my favorite but I seem to really enjoy the threaded cane. It was my first starting weapon pick when i first picked up BB and I really enjoyed it up until I got the kirkhammer then I had gotten a new favorite weapon. But the kirkhammer doesn't have that spot in my heart like the threaded cane does.
I feel like everyone uses the tonitrus. It’s called the boss killer for a reason, most play throughs recommend it! Reason why I used it before I went to the OG cleaver
fun fact: the church pick, reiterpallasch and, to a lesser extent, the rakuyo feel so OP because not just kin is weak to thrust attacks, EVERY enemy in the game is either neutral or weak to it, with the majority of them being weak to it to a certain degree, not a single enemy type resists thrust. so that basically means with a weapon that deals mainly thrust damage (hint: the transformed church pick and transformed reiterpallasch deal exclusively thrust damage) a vast majority of the games enemies are gonna take a lot more damage than what the AR of the weapon would imply.
Nice to see a list that isn’t solely about PVP. I started out using the bow blade and chikage with my skill/bloodtinge build. But half the time I end up switching between the burial and rakuyo since they’re so damn fun. I also miss my pizza cutter in my quality build.
One thing I have to admit, even though I've always loved flashy combos and freestyle stuff like the air cancel attacks in the DMC series, no other game has made me feel like a complete badass like this game when my dodges and parrys are on point. Beating a large amount of enemies without receiving a single hit it's the most satisfying thing in any videogame I've experienced.
Not surprised there’s no love for the beast cutter but it’s quickly become a fun weapon. The stagger is insane on it against mobs and the damage is good enough despite it being all blunt all the time
Easily one of Bloodborne's best qualities over Dark Souls is the absolutely ridiculous weapon variety, which in itself massively boosts the game's replayability; literally like 75% of the game's weapons are found in the last quarter or in The Old Hunters so monstrosities like the Burial Blade or the motherf***ing Whirligig Saw justify repeat playthroughs all by themselves
75% of the game's weapons are found closer to the first quarter of the game. I just finished the game and the majority of the weapons were at the beginning. There were only like two towards the end. I also don't think there are that many weapons in the main bloodborne game. Half of the weapons come from the DLC, so the original game alone doesn't have that huge of a variety. Including the DLC it does have a lot of variety, but only with it.
@@dankfailure4984 It is physically impossible to get the Burial Blade before Rom. You have to beat Rom then, at the end, kill Gherman, which gives you the Old Hunters Badge. Unless, you are talking about NG+, which in that case, it isn't your first playthrough. Unless, you are talking about the alternate versions of the weapon found in the Depth 5 chalice dungeons(Lower Loran & Pthumerian Ithyll). In that case, then maybe so. Still doubt it.
MaxwellGodd ' got it in a chalice after defeating the three shadow guys and my friend told me how to get it using a chalice dungeon code and it was annoying to get because everything could 2 shot me and there was a sinister bell woman summoning spiders
MaxwellGodd ' also I could have gotten it earlier but I didn’t know about it until later since you can get it right after you kill the blood staved beast
I'm interested in that weapon as it runs through Old Yharnam so easily but I don't feel comfortable using it in other situations like big enemies or npc hunters. Is there a good way to use its transformed mode?
Haven’t been playing BB long enough, but as far as the weapons I got my favorite so far has got to be the cane. Something about a cane that turns into a whip feels very.... satisfying.
Great video! :D My personal list is; 1. Rakuyo (cause it's OP af) 2. Church Pick 3. Blades of Mercy 4. Simon's Bowblade 5. Burial Blade 6. Chikage 7. Holy Moonlight Greatsword 8. Hunter Axe
Mitchell Turner Just returned to bloodborne after 2 years, and after looking through all the weapons on the wiki the beast cutter is just looking like the sickest shit to me this time around.
I have noticed that the Beast Cutter is a favorite among speedruners of Bloodborn thanks to its non-tranformed charge attack that let's you glitch through some parts of the geometry and skip parts of the game... I may have tried speedruning Bloodborn before. Spoiler alert: It didn't go well. XD
I don't see how it's OP unless we're talking about PvP. I find Whirligig Saw and some spammier weapons like Beasthunter Saif and Chikage as superior in PvE.
My weapons I main are Holy Moonlight Sword and Whirligig Saw, my favorite being the former. I’m glad you pointed out some of the under appreciated weapons in the game like the church pick. Here’s to hoping I see more unique players and not so many Ludwig’s Holy Blade scrub lords that linger even today.
My favorite would have to be the Beast Claws (with Beast's Embrace Rune). There's just something I love about the speed and feral aggression they have in spades. The built in Beasthood means bosses go down fast, too. And that two-handed jumping attack is just beautiful. Though the Burial Blade, Blades of Mercy, Beasthunter Saif, and Church Pick are also very good friends of mine.
I’ve always been partial to the rifle spear. Just something so satisfying about executing a flawless r1 combo, jumping back, smoothly transitioning into rifle mode, then finishing with a visceral attack
My favorite weapon is Threaded Cane even when I wanted to replace it with other Skill weapons I find it too balanced to put down. On my first play through I tend to beat bosses the first time fighting them with it.
i love how the game made so much different play styles. I mean im sure that we can talk about at least 15 different top 10's or smthng. Bc ever weapon is actually unique with their style and adv-dis. i personally love the hunter axe. Also logarius wheel is very op if u can use it. But its too overused for me.
You are one of the reasons I got my love for this game!❤ Years later I still haven't forgotten how thrilled I was for BB seeing its astethics, its wonderful lovecraftian assets and the action pack you just showcased here! Good stuff, fellow hunter!
Those are all amazing weapons as usual, but personal preference Id keep most except BoM and rakuyo probably add to my list the beast cutter and boom hammer but that'd just me, great vid
The Bloodletter and the Holy Moonlight sword are by far my favorites in the game, i have my Mercy Blades just in case of an emergency against some creatures or bosses, but that Whirligig Saw, i’ll be damned, the damage, the range, it’s the perfect boss killer
Surprised that LHB isn't on the list. Also surprised that the Burial Blade wasn't higher due to having the best moveset in the game, but the inability to buff it would cause problems for some.
I like the Hunter Axe. It's versatile and does good damage at a decent speed that also tranforms into a halbred that I can spin2win on crowds or if I'm trying to keep some distance.
I've always been fond of the kirkhammer. Completed the game 4 times with it, including chalice dungeons and the platinum trophy. It's just so satisfying hammering my way around with it!
I finally got to playing and beating the game a little while ago, and didn't really bother even buying the Kirkhammer as it didn't seem to fit my style. I just did my second playthrough and figured yeah I'll get it this time and my god is it a beast when you get the hang of it
Beast claw belongs here. It builds up beasthood just by attacking without the need of beast blood pellets. It’s really fast and integrates dodges and especially backsteps into the moveset very effectively. Beast claw + beast’s embrace rune + lead elixir + guidance rune (optionally some rally gems) is incredibly fun because you essentially become an unstoppable force plowing through anything you desire. Absolutely my favourite weapon. Fast, crazy, wild, unpredictable and unique. Just what bloodborne is all about
Nice video dude! I love whirligig saw, but with the best gems the most satisfying weapon for me is the threaded cane. You know making a bad weapon something serious is amazing :D
Oh I've seen that in pvp, thinking "lol what a scrub, brings threaded cane against my giant saw hammer!" and then they proceeded to flog me to death in 5 seconds without taking a single scratch.
Vituco that thing is my personal favorite starter weapon, my weapon of choice with NG6, and one of the most underrated weapons in pvp in my opinion haha
My top 8: 8: Hunter’s Axe 7: Beasthunter Saif (you can lump Saw Cleaver and Saw Spear in with it, but the lunge attacks for me and the style are why I like the Saif the most.) 6: Beast Claw (With Beast’s Embrace rune, has anyone heard of using these without it?) 5: Blade of Mercy 4: Rakuyo 3: Holy Moonlight Sword (really pushing for number one right now) 2: Whirligig Saw (the perfect complement weapon to whatever I main. Whirligig is always with me.) 1: Burial Blade Special consideration to Bloodletter, Logarius’ Wheel, Church Pick, Stake Driver, and Rifle Spear. These are all weapons I could see being really good, but some never caught on with the community. I would love to try them, but that will take time.
Splendid video I must say, my top 8 would be: 8: Logarius wheel 7: burial blade (which I prefer calling "scythe") 6: whirling saw 5: Blades of mercy (very good against all bosses except BSB) 4: Chikage 3: moonlight blade 2: tonitrus (excellent against all bosses and most enemies) 1: threaded cane (best starter weapon too)
The best weapon in the game is the flamesprayer, high arcane stats, and the auger of ebrietas. I just finished an arcane playthrough and it was stupid easy. Stun with the auger and walk in a circle around an enemy while blasting them with fire, the damage is through the ceiling.
The wheel in a pure strength build gets outdamaged by the Kirk even though it has better scaling. Where the wheel really shines is a strength arcane build with arcane gems. People hit upwards of 2,000 damage with one swing in it's transformed state. Also the wheel has really really really good stagger
When I saw the title for this video and it's format I thought it was going to be bad, like those lists that have Ludwig's, Saw Cleaver and the Kirkhammer at # 1,2, and 3, but this is such an awesome list. I didn't even know that the Church Pick was a good weapon but I can't wait until I try it now. Thanks a lot man! Subscribed
I like your list. I think though you should have given honorable mention to Saw Cleaver the most versatile weapon in my opinion and also Ludwig Blade which hits like a truck. But like I said I do like your list don't have any thing I would disagree with for sure 👍
Where's my damn ,WHEEL AT! You may play tuff with you hammers scythes and swords! But you'll never reach the WHEEL! It makes you look like a damn savege! But idk why but, it's sooooo awesome! It cheers for you whenever you change into second mode! Like this "UUUWWWWWWWWrrrrAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGG!!!!!!" And makes you a walking tank! And "may the good blood guide your way"
Late as I am to the party on this, I agree. Threaded Cane has some insane damage as a late game weapon, its transformed version has incredible crowd control, and it's got a great moveset for locking enemies in. It also completely bodies most bosses thanks to reliable, fast damage output. I'd argue that it's entirely because of the Threaded Cane I managed to beat the Orphan of Kos first try. If anyone here hasn't tried a 50 skill Cane run, you're missing out. My last character ended up with over 500 AR by level 105 without directly farming for Blood Gems. I can imagine that people who really try could get that number over 600 without too much effort.
I have such a massive amount of respect for people who play these games and don’t get there ass’s pummelled every 2 minutes. It takes such skill and pure fucking will go get good at these games. Because I’ve just started bloodborne (my first souls like game) and I can’t get passed the cleric beast but some people breeze through him and I just have a massive truck load of respect for them because they’re fucking sick at these games.
Bloodborne is kind of easy compared to the souls games (except for Ludwig the accursed holy sheet he's hard), but it's a different kind of difficulty, wich is hard to learn. When I started with dark souls 1 (my first souls game) I was stuck at taurus demon and after him the rest of the games were easy but still very enjoying to play. Also the cleric beast is very easy, just saying
I 100% agree with you about the Church Pick. Very under rated wepon. And the Bowblade as well. I have those two wepons equipped at all times with the Church Pick being my main wepon of choice.
My top 8 would probably be: 8) Blades of Mercy 7) Whirligig Saw 6) Hunter's Axe 5) Kirkhammer 4) Church Pick 3) Kos Parasite 2) Amygdalan Arm 1) Logarius' Wheel
@@sohamsarkar6545 since two years ago it's probably changed a bit for me. Nowadays it would probably be 8) Kirkhammer 7) Holy Moonlight Sword 6) Beast Cutter 5) Church Pick 4) Kos Parasite 3) Amygdalan Arm 2) Stake Driver 1) Logarius Wheel
Robert Swisher serrated damage in both forms (automatic beast/boss melter), can be buffed with beast blood pellets (even more boss melting) and fire paper (and yet even more boss melting). It's good on stamina consumption, fast R1s, insane roll catching in PVP, long range when transformed. List goes on. It's the best combo of speed, stamina efficiency, power, bosskilling and PVP in the game.
LandfillAO1 basically said it. I'm going to add that the saw spear is my dungeon/farming weapon. I use fire gems with it and it just tears through anything that's a beast. The charged R2 in the tricked mode works well against Brainsuckers too because it's a thrust attack, although the untricked mode is fast enough to drop them and most kin in 3 or so hits.
Agreed. Besides the technical reasons, there is that special feeling of satisfaction when this serrated weapon cuts through beast meat that a sword-type weapon and a blunt weapon don’t provide. Very versatile move-set with sweeps and thrusts, with close-range fast attacks and long-range effectiveness when needed. This is my trusted no fanciness go-to hunter tool.
Pretty late to comment on this video ( which is pretty nice I might add) but here are my top 8: 8.) Tonitrus 7.) Threaded Cane 6.) Reiterpallasch 5.) Simon's Bowblade 4.) Chikage 3.) Burial Blade 2.) Rakuyo 1.) Blade of Mercy
Great list! Beat the game the first time with the threaded cane and saw spear. Doing a new play through and now using the church pick as my first ever +10 weapon
I agree on the whirligig saw being the number 1 weapon, i literally use it against any boss and i killed orphan of kos 2nd try with it, so i love it sooo much, crazy range, and amazing damage output. Such a beast. Thanks for the video :D
I destroyed this game with the axe, never had to use my gun or cannon. I simply kept it two handed and mainly did thrust but the quick attacks worked great and the stagger is superb.
It's OK, but it requires such a specific playstyle and really only gets good once you farm Chalice dungeon gems for it. If you go thru the trouble of learning how to use charge attacks against most enemies and pimp one out, it does hilariously stupid damage. As a weapon used in a regular playthrough it's not that good.
Finally using the Hunter Axe (fully upgraded) changed the game from an unrelenting level difficulty to just very hard difficulty for me. Areas that I could barely get 5 minutes in without dying (like Nightmare of Mensis), became actually playable. Especially when I add fire to it, it becomes a godsend

Good luck on your Hunt, and may you find your worth in the waking world
My personal Top 8:
8: Beast Cutter
7: Kirkhammer
6: Burial Blade
5: Whirlgig Saw
4: Bloodletter
3: Rakuyo
2: Ludwig’s Blade
1: Chikage
Beascutter? I’m surprised, real kick-ass weapon
Your top 4!!!! A1 mannnnnn those are my got to 4
Rakuyo is a better chikage imo, other then that i agree
Thank you for at least putting the beastcutter on your list
the whirlygig saw does indeed fuck
man bloodborne is the game that gives you the best weapon at the start of thr game and you'll mainly use that weapon till the end of the game...
*COUGH* saw cleaver
Azka Yuniko yet still some people stuck on cleric beast or father gascoine
Ciel that’s what I like to call “user error”
You spelled "threaded cane" wrong
@@cielyasu1118 i find cleric Beast blood starved Beast and undead giant the hardest bosses of the game tho
I mean, the first dark souls let's you get the zweihander at the start too, and if you were good at the game(or watched some tutorials) you could get the gravelord greatsword at the start as well
no saw cleaver, damn.
nice video tho i agree
eh, used it to an exhaustion in BL 4 runs, but yeah it's a beast. Made this a while ago though, I think now I'd add Beasthunter Saif, Chikage and probably place Burial Blade much higher. But then again I wouldn't want to remove any from this list. Too many good weapons!
saw cleaver is like everyone's final weapon lol
saif is beast and i prefer chikage on normal enemies not in bosses that much, unless i do a chikage run only lol
+Vemrathin NA cough uncanny burial blade with 22+ phys damage bloodgems and full skill build cough cough
Troll Luhluh cough saw cleaver has higher dps cough
+Vemrathin NA i was responding to the comments about burial blades ,however, i cant lie saw cleaver does have that natural stun and does a shit ton of damage, but if you really want kickass damage u need to get uncanny or lost saw cleaver n go to the dungeons n farm sum 22+ phys dam bloodgems... also if we're talking PvP I'd rather go mercy blades or Ludwig's holy blade just becuz I'm use to the play style and if you get uncanny mercy blades u an equip better bloodgems to it and it becomes OP as fuck
Top 8 bloodborne problem solvers
1. Kirkhammer
2. Kirkhammer
3. Kirkhammer
4. Kirkhammer
5. Hunter axe- just kidding Kirkhammer
6. Kirkhammer
7. Kirkhammer
8. And last but certainly not least moonlight greatsword
Gerry Buckets It is really slow and requaries accuracy
Gerry Buckets Yeah the game wants you to use diffrent weapos depending on the enemy which is great.
Vengeful Paradise I only hate it cause it’s very slow. But great weapon nonetheless
Lol glad to see another hammer bro.

I love the Threaded Cane, still my most used weapon by a huge margine.
ShinGallon for those like you who can use the threaded cane you have my respect, I just absolutely unbelievable suck with it
ShinGallon respect to you can master
Beast Cutter is basically Threaded Cane++
TheAzuregreen why? Not to say you suck but why can’t you master it? For me it has incredible range. Always thought it was easy
start of the game it's super weak and doesn't get powerful until the later rounds of the game, so it's easy to just give up on it before you see it's true potential
Chikage with blood tinge build. Bloody strong
BLOODY. HAH I GET IT
Don't u mean.....chikage with Evelyn
Good pun.
@@arandomperson8032 omg I'm playing bloodborne for the first time ever and I use the chikage and evelyn.

Ashame would of loved a sequel to this. Simply amazing game. Also From Software should make a proper Castlevania game.
Just google image "bloodborne trick weapon"... Seeing that many different cool ideas for new weapons just makes me die inside. People have said Bloodborne doesn't need a sequel... BUT WE DO!!
A Castlevania game would be so great.
people (myself included) don't want a squeal because it means it would most likely be PS4 exclusive. I've been playing bloodbourne recently using my uncle's PS4, and I'll probably get one eventually myself, but I would much rather play these games on PC. I noticed a lot of stuttering on PS4 and I never see that sort of thing when playing any of the Dark souls games on PC. It doesn't look anywhere near as fluid.
resevil2396 So you don't want another masterpiece because of some stuttering? Nice joke.
I can safely say that I do excellently with the Holy Moonlight Sword, for no other reason, than the fact that I just love how it looks.
SecretTreaties same. Finished my first paythrough and platinumd the game with that weapon
SecretTreaties Same for me, but with the Bowblade. I can't feel satisfied without its moveset and transformation
Every time I pull it out and transform it I feel like a total badass
Kirkhammer for me is probably the best.
Don’t even remember leaving this comment! Never would have imagined this many likes.
Doing another playthrough right now, and though the big blue magic sword will never be replaced, the wheel is hilariously fun
I've gotten a couple weapons but I've never left my trusty Hunters Axe
Totally agree. When all else failed, my Axe came out on top 😁
Me too. I played with the Axe all the game until I broke it in the middle of the optional mission of the Castle of Cainhurst and I used the blades of mercy (BTW, that's a good weapon when you have it upgraded).
@@jrkenshin1 you can break your weapons? Does that mean you didn't repair it?
@@metalheadblues Hi! You can repair it. I was not careful enough and the enemies were hard as hell. Until I found a rest place, I need to use the other weapon.
Fr lmaooo kept on thinking of changing weapons but I felt like hunters axe legit shat on all the other ones
Threaded candles is a really solid weapon, great for close or ranged combat, but it's not as exciting as other weapons.
@@JakeJupiter PIZZA CUTTER! PIZZA CUTTER!
It's a good weapon, but the damage never seems high enough
Fun fact the moonlight sword is in every from software game including the armored core series. There are just different variations of it :D
am I the only one that likes the tonitrus??
Nathan drake nope tonitrus is my favorite too,but sadly it's so underrated....
Nathan drake Best weapon
Its beacause it cant transform and its moveset is uninspired
Tonitrus is insane, maybe my favourite weapon.
I feel like everyone uses the tonitrus. It’s called the boss killer for a reason, most play throughs recommend it! Reason why I used it before I went to the OG cleaver
No love at all for the stake driver... Not even in the comments
DID YOU FORGET ABOUT ME. Nobody even is talking about T H E L O G A R I U S W H E E L
Connor Schelby stake driver > literally everything
Stake Driver? Oh. You mean the Alteisen Arm.
Yeah it's my favorite weapon too.
Blitz1Blacktail1 super robot wars!!! My man!
1 hit the cunts
fun fact: the church pick, reiterpallasch and, to a lesser extent, the rakuyo feel so OP because not just kin is weak to thrust attacks, EVERY enemy in the game is either neutral or weak to it, with the majority of them being weak to it to a certain degree, not a single enemy type resists thrust. so that basically means with a weapon that deals mainly thrust damage (hint: the transformed church pick and transformed reiterpallasch deal exclusively thrust damage) a vast majority of the games enemies are gonna take a lot more damage than what the AR of the weapon would imply.
You forgot about Rifle Spear
TheMike0088 I put thrust gems on church pick and I can do 750 damage a hit. This weapon is not a joke
@@Ape8658 holy shit where can i get a church pic
Denis N oh yeah forgot to mention I also now have 99 strength and skill and arcane so it does a lot more now
@@Ape8658 damn what level are you
Nice to see a list that isn’t solely about PVP. I started out using the bow blade and chikage with my skill/bloodtinge build. But half the time I end up switching between the burial and rakuyo since they’re so damn fun. I also miss my pizza cutter in my quality build.
Do an arcane build, they are heavily slept on. I was able to stun lock and bully so many bosses with it
One thing I have to admit, even though I've always loved flashy combos and freestyle stuff like the air cancel attacks in the DMC series, no other game has made me feel like a complete badass like this game when my dodges and parrys are on point. Beating a large amount of enemies without receiving a single hit it's the most satisfying thing in any videogame I've experienced.
Love the Ludwig ost you put when showing off the Holy Moonlight Greatsword. One of my favorite osts.
I prefer the one from the hunter's dream.
I got a burial blade on my first play through before rom and got it to +10 and it was so much fun
Just ran through with the Saw Spear and looooooved it.
I'm interested in that weapon as it runs through Old Yharnam so easily but I don't feel comfortable using it in other situations like big enemies or npc hunters.
Is there a good way to use its transformed mode?
I rarely ever transformed it. Just swung like a mad man.
SparklyHyena two lighthits transform and chain into a heavy i love that combo its brutal
Haven’t been playing BB long enough, but as far as the weapons I got my favorite so far has got to be the cane.
Something about a cane that turns into a whip feels very.... satisfying.
Great video! :D
My personal list is;
1. Rakuyo (cause it's OP af)
2. Church Pick
3. Blades of Mercy
4. Simon's Bowblade
5. Burial Blade
6. Chikage
7. Holy Moonlight Greatsword
8. Hunter Axe
I found the beast cutter to be really highly underrated. I liked using it a lot
Mitchell Turner this.
My go-to beast slayer. Fucking wrecks them.
XD
Transformed charged R2. Rekts absolutely everything.
LOL, I've been using Whirgling Saw for a pretty long time but I never knew about the "holding" move. I feel stupid now :C
Dont worry, I didn't even know L2's were a thing for a long time >.>
Me too tbh 😂
I just discovered Kos parasyte L2. I thought it was another boring tentacle move. Man...I was WRONG!
I like the Penpals reference 👏
Tell me what!
Personally here's my top 8:
8. Saw Spear
7. Holy Moonlight Sword
6. Reiterpallasch
5. Kirkhammer
4. Burial Blade
3. Blades of Mercy
2. Rakuyo
1. Ludwig's Holy Blade
Soarel Lud's holy blade has a pretty bad rep for being... too good I guess. :p
Now, I am not trying to be offensive, but by the gods the holy blade is a casual weapon
There's no such thing as a "causal weapon". I love it because I love greatswords and swords in general
True, at the same time though it is way too meta and OP
I don't see how it's OP unless we're talking about PvP. I find Whirligig Saw and some spammier weapons like Beasthunter Saif and Chikage as superior in PvE.
My weapons I main are Holy Moonlight Sword and Whirligig Saw, my favorite being the former. I’m glad you pointed out some of the under appreciated weapons in the game like the church pick. Here’s to hoping I see more unique players and not so many Ludwig’s Holy Blade scrub lords that linger even today.
The way you promote the weapons is so funny, interesting, and cool!! Every weapon is unique and it's fun to watch how they work.
2:41 and then turns into the Moonlight Greatsword you could find in any of the Dark Souls games
I expected to see my trusy threaded cane such an awesome weapon.
Blades of Mercy carried me throughout most of the game.
My favorite weapon is Threaded Cane even when I wanted to replace it with other Skill weapons I find it too balanced to put down.
On my first play through I tend to beat bosses the first time fighting them with it.
This video made me feel like i should go play bloodborne again. Thanks
i love how the game made so much different play styles. I mean im sure that we can talk about at least 15 different top 10's or smthng. Bc ever weapon is actually unique with their style and adv-dis. i personally love the hunter axe. Also logarius wheel is very op if u can use it. But its too overused for me.
6, the music starts playin and you already know what it is
You are one of the reasons I got my love for this game!❤
Years later I still haven't forgotten how thrilled I was for BB seeing its astethics, its wonderful lovecraftian assets and the action pack you just showcased here!
Good stuff, fellow hunter!
Those are all amazing weapons as usual, but personal preference Id keep most except BoM and rakuyo probably add to my list the beast cutter and boom hammer but that'd just me, great vid
Should've mentioned how the Burial Blade has _Insane_ rally potential
I love the Blood-drunk Hunters in the DLC... I laugh everytime they say, "Bloood! NOOOOWW!". They're and funny and terrifying at the same time...
The Bloodletter and the Holy Moonlight sword are by far my favorites in the game, i have my Mercy Blades just in case of an emergency against some creatures or bosses, but that Whirligig Saw, i’ll be damned, the damage, the range, it’s the perfect boss killer
I've heard of better ones in Hammerfell.
Heard they were *CURVED*
Ikmalreza 1998 Have you seen those warriors from Hammerfell? They’ve got curved swords... *CURVED* swords
What about the legendary Bloodsythe and Soulrender

@@Raigosai ah yes nazeem the top killable person
Surprised that LHB isn't on the list.
Also surprised that the Burial Blade wasn't higher due to having the best moveset in the game, but the inability to buff it would cause problems for some.
it is his opinions though. I love LHB thing is a beast.
The Burial Blade would prob be my fav weapon if it could be buffed.
OniLink it can be buffed. I have the uncanny at +7 and got it in a chalice dungeon. I have phys increasing gems as well.
Grim Temptations he means that you cant use fire and bolt paper
Imo best moveset in the game is Hunter's Axe but anyway they're both up there
I like the Hunter Axe. It's versatile and does good damage at a decent speed that also tranforms into a halbred that I can spin2win on crowds or if I'm trying to keep some distance.
Two handed hunters axe is the only way to use it for me
I've always been fond of the kirkhammer.
Just what bloodborne is all about
The Bloodletter kinda looks like a more effed up version of Molag Bal's mace.
"Youd think the 1h swing would be faster" Not really, a huge heavy two handed sword would be slower with one hand as opposed to two.
Nice list, I agree with most of these. I would've added The Beasthunter Saif, Threaded Cane, Chikage, and my all time favorite, Simon's Bowblade
Vituco love the threaded cane, its my go-to, i also use the stake driver
Threaded cane isn't a bad weapon though....
Alphazone compared to most of the other weapons it kind of is
Nice list!
Stake Driver, Beast Cutter and Kos Parasite are my favorites.
Great thing about Bloodborne is every weapon is viable, and mostly all can be fun to use. My personal fave is Chikage though.

1 ludwig holy blade
YESSS!!! FINALLY A GUY WHO LIKES THE SAW CLEAVER
My top 8:
8: Hunter’s Axe
7: Beasthunter Saif (you can lump Saw Cleaver and Saw Spear in with it, but the lunge attacks for me and the style are why I like the Saif the most.)
6: Beast Claw (With Beast’s Embrace rune, has anyone heard of using these without it?)
5: Blade of Mercy
4: Rakuyo
3: Holy Moonlight Sword (really pushing for number one right now)
2: Whirligig Saw (the perfect complement weapon to whatever I main. Whirligig is always with me.)
1: Burial Blade
Special consideration to Bloodletter, Logarius’ Wheel, Church Pick, Stake Driver, and Rifle Spear. These are all weapons I could see being really good, but some never caught on with the community. I would love to try them, but that will take time.
Draven Flores-Rios like my list
Finally someone with accurate tastes ... but i would switch the beast claws with the burial blade tho
Stake Driver. Pure testosterone and dopamine factory. No monster can bite you if they lose their teeth to this big ass powerfist.
Splendid video I must say, my top 8 would be:
8: Logarius wheel
7: burial blade (which I prefer calling "scythe")
6: whirling saw
5: Blades of mercy (very good against all bosses except BSB)
4: Chikage
3: moonlight blade
2: tonitrus (excellent against all bosses and most enemies)
1: threaded cane (best starter weapon too)
The best weapon in the game is the flamesprayer, high arcane stats, and the auger of ebrietas. I just finished an arcane playthrough and it was stupid easy. Stun with the auger and walk in a circle around an enemy while blasting them with fire, the damage is through the ceiling.
Let's be honest here
The wheel is the best weapon
Hey Vsauce, Memes Here you’re goddamned right
Transformed Kirkhammer does more damage and staggers in 1 hit basically overshadowing the Wheel
The wheel in a pure strength build gets outdamaged by the Kirk even though it has better scaling. Where the wheel really shines is a strength arcane build with arcane gems. People hit upwards of 2,000 damage with one swing in it's transformed state. Also the wheel has really really really good stagger
this wheel a weapon lmao
ThiccSombra .......no lololol

Craig Hogan I do love my Bowblade
Craig Hogan Me too, one of the coolest weapons for me
It's okay, my hunter's saif wasn't mentioned either ;-;
Bowblade is best!
Bowblade is life .......even though I haven't even got to use it:-(
I love the weapons of Bloodborne because every weapon has some kind of transformation that makes it more awesome than it was
When I saw the title for this video and it's format I thought it was going to be bad, like those lists that have Ludwig's, Saw Cleaver and the Kirkhammer at # 1,2, and 3, but this is such an awesome list.
I did the list more based on the fun factor of the weapons, not so much on effectiveness. But, glad you like it!
The most versatile weapon is the beast hunter saif
Where's my damn ,WHEEL AT!
You may play tuff with you hammers scythes and swords!
But you'll never reach the WHEEL!

Threaded cane is life
Or death.
Magicat the Magical Cat great vid tho. Why don't you narrate ?
hahah good1
U mean the pimp cane
This was very enjoyable to watch for some reason. Great job on the video.
The Boom Hammer. I mean come on that weapon is fudging amazing!
Great list for the most part though!
Thanks but um... Boom Hammer is actually my least favourite weapon. Just feels too clunky.
Magicat the Magical Cat aww I see. Well, the holy moonlight + Rakuyo are my faves so I’m satisfied.
The beashunter Saif is truly underrated
Yeah, he saved me with Ludwig, Maria and Orphan of Kos
I some how beat the Orphan of Kos in one go with the Super pizza cutter and I felt like a badass
Bears 64 nice I did the same thing with my chicage
Mah man.
And you most certainly should feel badass! Impressive!
I 100% agree with you about the Church Pick. Very under rated wepon. And the Bowblade as well. I have those two wepons equipped at all times with the Church Pick being my main wepon of choice.
HAHA i like your video!! ☺️ Ty for sharing and yes the whirligig is by far my favorite!
My top 8 would probably be:
8) Blades of Mercy
7) Whirligig Saw
6) Hunter's Axe
5) Kirkhammer

The Macca why do u like saw spear so much? i’m doing a run with it rn and it’s pretty good
Robert Swisher serrated damage in both forms (automatic beast/boss melter), can be buffed with beast blood pellets (even more boss melting) and fire paper (and yet even more boss melting).
Pretty late to comment on this video ( which is pretty nice I might add) but here are my top 8:
8.) Tonitrus
7.) Threaded Cane
6.) Reiterpallasch
5.) Simon's Bowblade
4.) Chikage
3.) Burial Blade
2.) Rakuyo
1.) Blade of Mercy
I simply kept it two handed and mainly did thrust but the quick attacks worked great and the stagger is superb.
same here!
I've never seen anyone use it but I love the stake driver
It's OK, but it requires such a specific playstyle and really only gets good once you farm Chalice dungeon gems for it. If you go thru the trouble of learning how to use charge attacks against most enemies and pimp one out, it does hilariously stupid damage. As a weapon used in a regular playthrough it's not that good.
My first main weapon damn i love stake driver
My top 8
8. Boom Hammer
7. Whirligig Saw
1. Stake driver the lord and savior
I wish there were more Powder ganger weapons tbh
"Powder ganger" lmao playing a lil New Vegas, are we?
@@cynicalgold9992 Yeahh you got me there lmao
If I'm not mistaken, Ludwig's theme was playing during the Moonlight Greatsword part
Great vid I love the descriptions you put on for each weapon
If The Adam's family and Devil May Cry had a child
Finally using the Hunter Axe (fully upgraded) changed the game from an unrelenting level difficulty to just very hard difficulty for me.
Areas that I could barely get 5 minutes in without dying (like Nightmare of Mensis), became actually playable. Especially when I add fire to it, it becomes a godsend
everyone is avoiding the most effective weapon:the bible
The bible is just plain genocidal nasty. Bloodborne weapons are more peaceful than that
That self-stab bloodletter hit was fuckign top tier
Beating Ludwig and getting Zangetsu was one of my favorite moments in Bloodborne.
