Part of being a virtuoso is being in love with what you do. I saw him at a Mountain Stage performance maybe 15 years ago and he was just wonderful. The joy of Kottke is his relaxed rapport with the audience, his humor, and his love of the music. This is a great love song and I think this the best performance.
I think we were blessed to have been alive when Leo’s generation of great acoustic guitarists were at their peak. For me it was one of the joys of my life. This is just stunning.
Two years later and I still can't stop watching this. Lately it's been Leo's voice bringing me back. As much as I've heard him criticize his singing voice, this song, and many others, would have so much less emotional wallop without his baritone.
He puts on a great show that makes everyone feel they got their money's worth! His humor and playing are without equal, and he remembers that the audience is there to be entertained, so he doesn't disappoint them. Thanks for sharing.

Saw him play this at an old abandon church in Delhi NY, it gave shivers. As goog as this percormance is its nothing like watching him in a tiny venue. Thanks Leo, for a great moment I'll never forget and it was the last musical event I ever saw a my old man. Music's powerful, especially yours.
