I had chills. I know basically nothing of the culture, but I do know to respect it. Is it weird that on my bucket list, I have "Be the witness of a Haka". There's just something about it that just fascinates me and mesmerizes me. It's truly beautiful. And Michaela Blyde is so deserving.
Show the world sincere respect.....but not showing their maori heritage respect.....in maori lore women do not haka as they menstruate and give birth making them tapu/sacred their ancestors will be turning in their grave The pakeha money has turned these women against their whakapapa/lineage...there's an old adage . don't just say you're maori but live it with all your customs....
Every one of these wahine past/ present players of Wahine Black Ferns Sevens are deserved of their massive efforts in recognition to put their name: NZ Black Ferns Sevens on /in this games History. Congratulations Michaela you are honoured by co team mates for your wonderful skills speed and tenacity to overcome your opposition. Proud to be a Kiwi' too
Wow CONGRATULATIONS MIKAELA 50 games is an amazing milestone in such a fast paced physical sport And the whole team you girls always give 100% and always make us proud NZ RUGBY are lucky to have you all Thank you!! 🎉🎉🎉✨✨
She is such a great rugby player to watch. One of NZ's best regardless of gender. Get your aspiring young ones to watch how she plays. Pace and skill for days, but most impressively she plays with a huge amount of guts and tikka, always does the hard stuff too.
A year ago I was distraught, Michaela not performing, sitting out games, injured, I thought no more Blyde Glyde, no more crunching, fierce tackles, no more stern looks to terrify the opposition, so sad! 2024 my hero is back, better than ever, that fierce determined look, impossible to stop, so skilled, adept and quick, a proper rugby player with a cute smile only at the end when she admits, yes I did my best! I know it is wrong to pick out one player amongst so much talent in a fabulous team but really I don't care! Michaela for Prime Minister, she's got more guts and sense of purpose for all, for everyone than the other lot of big talkers who do SFA!
The ultimate tribute is the acknowledgment that’s special
Amazing and so deserved!!!! Thank you for sharing this with us!!!!
Made me cry. Special team, special player.
An inspiration to all wahine everywhere. Love your work ladies

Awesome ❤
We see a lot of haka these days, sometimes for the most mundane events. But this haka was very, very special.
Such a worthy athlete and lady! Much love from Florida!
Awesome!! Thank you for showing the world sincere respect.
