IllogicalSims thank you! I’m not quite there yet, but thought I might as well prepare since i’m at 95 haha. I wanted to make sure I had it ready pretty soon after I hit 100, so I wanted to get started a bit early! :)
Quick Blender tips: 1. While in the viewport, if you press C it will activate circle select, which basically lets you "paint" what you want to select. The scroll wheel can expand or reduce the size of the circle to get more or less all at once. It's great for selecting vertices that are right next to each other. Press ESC to exit circle select mode, or it will just keep adding to the selection. 2. Once you have 2 points selected that you want to merge together, if they're really close together you can just press S (for "size") and type 0 (zero). This will make their distance zero, putting them at the same location, usually half way between the points. Then when you got them all, you can remove the duplicates all at once.

I have one question though that I haven't solved yet; If I have made sims character with specific face body settings how I can extract those settings to other people's sims game. Great tutorial! Thanks! One question: How do you change the swatches colors (when you're selecting the swatches they all looked the same) so how do you change them?
Great video! It's helped me a lot! But, i've come across a problem. For some reason, when I press sync mode, it doesn't make selections on both the uv and the rig selection, it won't do anything.
Hello; I really liked your video but you know how to design clothes for sims a little thick is that I created my own clothes but when I gained weight to my sims the clothes became deformed ???
I haven't done much CAS CC for a while, and I actually didn't end up finding out how to change it sorry. I only did Mesh Edits for CAS and generally it turned out fine in terms of how it changes depending on Body Type.
this video is amazing but I had a problem once I opened the exported mesh in blender.... it opened it but the shorts didn't show up..... any idea why this happened?
Hi! Your video is amazing, it helped me a lot ! I followed the tutorial perfectly, but when I try to dress my sims with that specific outfit, the entire sim is covered with the skin colors, even on the top of the clothes and the hair, like they're naked, while in the CAS it seems perfect... What could I do ? It's frustrating that I worked hard and then I can't use those content for that reason ;_;
I've never encountered that issue before, but it sounds like it may be an issue with the texture that the piece of CC has. What does your texture look like in Sims 4 Studio?
When you delete all the colors before you Recolor, will that completely remove the original from your game or does it just make an added cc of that same item?
I think this video looks easier than other, but I don't know whether I can really follow it or not hahha I already downloaded Blender S4S and also Krita. Buut when I open S4S, I accidentally close the path finding search or something. Is it okay? Is there something missing? Oh also the folder where we put the mesh, is it only on The Sims 4 folder or we can pit it on another. Ooh also also after I clicked the clothes there are two more setting, meanwhile here you only save and export...
I cant see any of the studio, I click on the CAS button, i click on a mesh, i save it into my mods folder and it comes up with a screen saying "Data"?? no studio. please help
Could you be talking about the Sims 4 Studio Warehouse tab? If so, you can find your way back to the regular studio by clicking the "Studio" button on the top left of the window.
I wish I could help further but I'm not too sure what's going on. I think if you post a screenshot on the Sims 4 Studio website's forums, they can help you there
I have a question for you; Do you know how to extract the certain LOD meshes from CC? I want to extract low-poly versions of some CC hairs, but when I do I can only extract it's highest poly count. Please and thank you!
When you go to extract the Mesh, there should be a drop-down bar where you pick the LODs, but not all CC creators make all the LODs and instead use the regular high poly versions for all. It's possible that's why you can't seem to export a 'low poly' LOD.
@@IllogicalSims I've used the dropped down menu for the LODs and then extracted, but when I open it up in blender they all have the same high poly count. Thank you for answering so quickly, I appreciate it!
I'm currently trying to follow this but how do i get the orange coloring off so that I can see the shorts better? I'm just trying this out and I'm stuck.
I tried to open the blender file but it came up with a black and white image instead of a coloured image of the model wearing the shorts. Do you know how to help??? xx
Wouldn’t it be smarter to do it backwards? So shorts on top? That way the seam is way cleaner and you have less of a difficult seam to photoshop? I’m not sure...I’m a photographer so I know how to photoshop but I am new to blender.
I just downloaded blender but completely forgot how to use it as i tried a few years ago and gave up...I usually just convert for sims 2 but got into creating for sims 4, I found a tut on shortening a top but it is way to fast to follow. Could you please do a detailed tut on shortening tops please. If you have already done that please link me or to another tut, thanks for this...still confused but I will try it after I get used to blender.
You may need to go into settings in Sims 4 Studio and find the option to manually select the Blender path (navigate to the folder the blender files are in) Also be sure you are using Blender 2.70a
Good day, I have problem with wolf ears model on head with texture, I know that is not genre this video but I searching answer everywhere. Does anyone know about video, procedure or avice how make this? Thanks for all the information :3
Hi, I have an interest in starting to make CC clothing for Sims4, is it possible to do this without the studio? I am using a MacBook Pro, but unfortunately it won't let me use it because the author isn't definable. So, my Mac thinks its a virus and makes me delete the app upon opening.
I tried this in the year 2023 with Blender 3.6 and no matter how many times I try, the package file is nowhere to be found when I try to open it in Blender. Is there an updated version of this video that is different?
I just do not understand why I cannot open my .blend file output mesh from S4S in Blender 2.70a, 2.79, or any other version. It just opens blank, and I can go no further after that.
So, Hello~ I'm very new to making Meshes, and I was wondering if you had any videos on making your own mesh and rigging it? I'm making a character's outfit in The Sims 4 and I need to make a glove but I can't figure out how to rig it, do you have any videos to help?
Hi! When I did CAS CC, I only did mesh edits so I never got into rigging, so I can't really help you with that sorry. I think Character Rigging tutorials for Blender should help with that though

Is there an updated version of this video that is different?
is there a way to extract a mesh out of a modded piece of clothing?
can be Photoshop cs3 a subtitute for GIMP?
I just do not understand why I cannot open my .blend file output mesh from S4S in Blender 2.70a, 2.79, or any other version. It just opens blank, and I can go no further after that.
can u edit stuff without actually having sims installed on your computer?
How do you move the camera around to get different angles
hold down that scrolling button and move it
@@amethyst4719 does that involve a mouse? Cuz I don't have that
@@kobatohanato876 well, unfortunately yes
When i tried to move the side with the person on it over more and more appeared beneath it so i could get the the button on the uv side
why does the blender program look different in my PC its like so gray and it bothering me any ideas?
When I save the file and import it to studio it's still the old one. I don't know what I am doing wrong i tried many times already :(
How can I combine the meshes? I speak spanish and I didnt understand what he said in that part :(
So, Hello~ I'm very new to making Meshes, and I was wondering if you had any videos on making your own mesh and rigging it? I'm making a character's outfit in The Sims 4 and I need to make a glove but I can't figure out how to rig it, do you have any videos to help?
Hi! When I did CAS CC, I only did mesh edits so I never got into rigging, so I can't really help you with that sorry. I think Character Rigging tutorials for Blender should help with that though
@@IllogicalSims Thank you!~
