You mentioned there is a lot of open land in the area. My concern is moving to a town that is fine now, but could get overcrowded in a few years if they start building thousands of new homes. Do you think that could happen in Fairhope? Also, how is the job market there? Unfortunately Im not ready to retire just yet

Thanks for the question. Yes, Fairhope is growing and there is a lot of farmland there. There is no way to speculate what will happen and it has a lot to do with what you’re comfortable with. Right now, Fairhope has 24,974 people and is the third fastest growing city in Alabama accost AL.com. Fairhope has an unemployment rate of 2.9% with future growth predicted at 43.8% over the next ten years. Just knowing the city, I believe they will always strive to maintain a small town feel. Plus, there are plenty of areas around Fairhope where people can move and still have the Lower Alabama lifestyle. Hope that helps

We are looking to resettle about 500 Haitian asylum seekers, would Fairhope be a good place for them?

Rance Reehl is an angry realtor. Avoid Caldwell Banker. Fairhope downtown is not that nice. The restaurants are very expensive.

Isn’t it great that we still have the freedom to have an opinion? I don’t know Rance and disagree with you on the rest but that’s my opinion.

We lived there and we left...Homeowners insurance is so high, even if you can get it, that you can't afford it. Throw the property tax on top and you have a situation where you take a risk of losing your house. Good luck if you decide to go there.

Wow! First no one is touting this to be the cheapest place to live. If that’s what you want this isn’t it. It’s also not the most expensive……by far. Property taxes are the third lowest in the country. Most people who move here do so because it’s a lower cost of living than where they are from. Sorry that you have a bad taste in your mouth but there are plenty of folks who would disagree with your conclusions.

Hmm he brought up good points tho. Maybe can we have Homeowner insurance quotes videos of the areas you service

@@moneymitch6790 sure I can do that but I’m wondering if this is being confused with a video on Florida. Again, no one is saying that this is the cheapest place to live however it’s not Florida or Texas or most of the northern and western states.

@@Doreen623 We lived there also in 2010 and 2011...the insurance costs were just starting to raise. I was transferred and we had to leave. It is a beautiful. We now live in Northeast Alabama, Florence. We considered Fairhope again but the quotes for homeowners insurance, if you can even get it, is 4 times what we pay in Florence and that cost does not include flood insurance. Be careful along the gulf coast it can be devastating to your bank account. Most agents don't talk about insurance down there...
