The biblical definition of fellowship isn't,' let's have a cup of tea and talk'. When the Bible says fellowship it means you are gathering together with those that are in agreeance. (Same doctrine, same beliefs, like mindedness if you will) it is vital that a church is United in its theology.

Sola Scriptura are you saying that he apologized twice in that message? Because I listened to it and that’s just not there. Some things that were in there though: the title alone is an indictment to the Mormon faith “The exclusivity and sufficiency of Jesus Christ”. Also that “the Christian faith is UNIQUELY the faith that offers forgiveness of sins”. You can make the argument that he didn’t go in and condemn their beliefs and have a pointed discussion on why Mormonism is flawed, which I would agree that he could have done so sternly, but I don’t believe it’s grounds to call him a false teacher because he did not speak another Gospel message. He spoke Christ crucified for the forgiveness of sin and our proper response to that. Also, please do give reference for those claims you’ve made... without such evidence would be slander and such should not take place in the body of Christ (as the Word says). Blessings.

Spencer, I really enjoy your videos, you're bringing Biblical truth to light, which is what we need today more than ever! I go to a Southern Baptist Church, actually my pastor was Billy Graham's pastor (Dr. Don Wilton) but I had no idea some of the things Billy has said over the years, even his son Franklin disagreed with him. I think of myself as fundamentalist (Bible is truth without error) and "old fashioned" by most. It seems this nation and the world is being overwhelmed by false doctrines, sermons, music, books, film, etc.. And people don't seem to know any better than to listen to them?? I just read the Bible for myself, ask for the Lord to guide me to truth, and give me discernment to recognize error. Most of the time it seems fairly easy to spot, sometimes even before they get started good I believe the Holy Spirit is giving me warnings to turn away from what some people say. It is good to see a young man as yourself boldly standing up for the Gospel. I'm afraid you're gonna find yourself more and more an outcast by most Christians, judgmental and narrowminded but Jesus said wide is the path that leads to destruction and many go there. I wish I had done more for Christ when I was younger. Even at 52, I can still do my part, thanks for encouraging me and I'm sure others on this channel !!

Yes, but the problem with "Christian Rock" is that they are using music that sounds no different to secular artists to share the Gospel. I've started to notice that a while back. Songs like "Me Without You" by Tobymac sounds too similar to an Owl City song, or "Overcomer" by Mandisa sounds a bit like "Firework" by Katy Perry. I've heard someone say this, "You can't Change the world by looking exactly like it." I think that's the point he's trying to make.

The other day, ive seen people who were satanists loving christian metal bands like Impending Doom or Stryper because though the music is "secukar" there is still that fire and a seed of God sowed in them, because the lyrics speak to them. Also, we get so lost in "christian music" that we often forget who we are singing to. Im not saying that christian rock is better nor that hymns are the best alone because that would be heresy too. All im saying is that Music was created by God byt the DEvil has manipulated it for his own ways, but we as Children of God have the right to use any style or genre of music for the Glory of God, as long it is pleasing and fruitful for the Kingdom. I've been listening to you for some time now. I listen to no one without testing the spirits (I John 4:1). I always ask the Holy Spirit to guide me in His Truth.
I read Paul's letter to the Philippians, chapter 1. I quote from this chapter, vs. 15-18:
    "Some indeed preach Christ from envy and rivalry, but others from good will. The latter do it out of love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of the gospel;
the former proclaim Christ out of partisanship, not sincerely but thinking to afflict me in my imprisonment.
    What then?
Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth,
Christ is proclaimed; AND IN THAT I REJOICE."
We do not live under law. God's call from the New Testament was for the Jews to DO. Some Christians took this and made the famous WWJD?
In the New Testament: Our word is DONE. Not what would Jesus do, rather what did Jesus believe?
"it is finished." is our Victory Cry!
The word in Greek for the gospel is (euaggelízō), the same word that is used when a runner comes to the city and gives the "Good News" that the battle has been won.
The Battle has ALREADY been won.
The "work" he would have us do is in John 6:29, "Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent".
In other words, we only believe what has already been DONE!
All the law and the prophets are fulfilled in, "Love the Lord your God with all your hearts, soul and mind and your neighbour a yourself." Matthew 22: 34-40.
I appreciate some of your work, and no mature Christian could possibly disagree with Hillsong, etc.
However, I ask for you to be gentle on men like John Piper and Ravi Zacharias.
I am an apologist by training (Briercrest Bible College) and admit that no one can divide the Word of God into the simplest explanations of the most difficult concepts like C.S. Lewis, and Ravi Zacharias was also a great apologist.
Too many Christians don't know why they believe what they believe. Both Mr. Lewis and Mr. Zacharias have informed me of much.
You have also talked about the important of this and of knowing sound doctrine and being able to give a reason for your faith when asked.
I do believe John Piper and Ravi Zacharias were able to do this, no matter what conventions they went to.
Maybe they wanted to go to these conventions in order to shine a little light and some sound doctrine in otherwise confused Christians?
May God bless your ministry as you do teach truth, I pray your family and your loved ones stay safe in our Lord's Loving Arms.

@@ariebebrucy2175 What's more, their doctrine is sound and all about Scripture, they're such amazing teachers.
I don't think God is quick to put people, especially His own, in a box.
I sometimes think that this ministry is more about building himself up as He knows best, instead of praying for those who have gone astray.
However, only God knows his heart.
Jesus went to the sick and infirm, not the righteous, not to those who thought they were right and bragged about it, talking about their own righteousness. He saved His harshest words for them.
However, he is giving a service to those who don't know about false teachers.

I haven't listened to much of this man's teachings yet, but everyone needs to remember that believers are to rightly divide or handle God's breathed words.
Paul says to Timothy that a time was coming when men (women included) will NOT ENDURE SOUND TEACHINGS/DOCTRINE... Paul's epistles are polemical as well as instructional concerning our doctrine as the body of Christ. In Romans 6 he says we are to judge within the Body, God will judge those outside the body. He warns the Elders in Ephesus in Acts 20 about "savage wolves" that would essentially come after the flock they were overseeing and protecting.
In Galatians Paul rebukes believers for wanting to go under law again and asked "who has bewitched you" , after warning of condemnation to anyone giving a gospel other than what he gave them; that whole letter is a rebuke and warning against ungodly men deceiving them while reiterating the change from laws observed under the Mosiac Covenant for the Jews and the grace for justification by faith. It must have included what Paul explains about the Gentiles in Romans 2 "law unto themselves". Gentiles were not under the Law of Moses.
Christian cults, Roman Catholicism, Calvinism (Piper - a Calvinist- believes that a person is regenerated/born again before even hearing the Gospel, let alone believing it. This alone is heresy. Calvinism's 9-not 5 points, are utterly FALSE and easily refuted from Genesis to Revelation, but so many are buying into Calvinism because 1) at first they do not know about the 9 points and 2) they believe that we are saved by Grace through faith, which we are according to CLEAR text and that is a deception because Calvinism teaches one is already justified and born again -made alive Spiritually- before even hearing the Gospel, having been given FAITH before hearing the Gospel also, which actually COMES FROM HEARING as Paul says faith in Romans 10:17. Calvinism is one of the greatest of deceptions) Islam, kjv only cult, Bart Erhman- who claims to have believed what Christians actually believe but cannot, admittedly, understand why Jesus claimed to be God, but didn't know the day or hour he would return to earth in Matthew 24:36. Anyone professing to be born again that has a mere fraction of Erhman's knowledge of the Greek or English New Testament should be able to explain Jesus not knowing by at least using Philippians 2:6-11. Erhman uses this verse in Matthew as one of his main arguments against the Deity of the Lord in his book "Misquoting Jesus". The average Muslim, Atheist, Unitarian, etc., constantly quotes Erhman on this and other things Erhman doesn't understand.
There is no biblical evidence that he was every born again; a New Testament Greek scholar would easily understand Matthew 24:36 if indeed the Spirit was indwelling him.
I said all of this to say that 2 Timothy 4:3 is happening today. Not only is the teaching in the congregations presently, appallingly shallow and lacking, the vacuum has caused a lack of knowledge and understanding of God's Breathed words and has been filled with EMOTING, feelings about what God's breathed words say, mixing law with grace, most everything is about the music and raising monies, youth conferences, concerts, etc. Brothers and sisters are being absolutely deceived in this generation and much of the last 2 and only God knows how it will be in the next now that the embrace of FALSE teachings is exponentially spreading. These men and women need serious rebuke. The body is completely divided. Denominational distinctions are DIVISION BY DEFINITION. Paul used the word rebuke just as he did the word encourage. We are to love but we are to rebuke and expose false teachings within the Body of Christ!

He is doing God's work. He is helping us so that we don't loose our salvation for lack of knowledge. Everything he speaks he links to the word of God which must be our filter in everything, besides our faith is about Jesus and not man and we are to obey Jesus commands no matter how painful it maybe sometimes. I still love Ravi too but we just need to correct each other without taking offence.

John Piper is one of the most faithful expositors of God’s word that this generation and the one before it has ever seen. This video reminds me of the Pharisees being angry at Christ for healing on the Sabbath. We should build one another up in love not fine comb their ministry from start to finish to find something that makes them a Neo-evangelical. Check yourself as well brother. John Trevett all Piper is preaching in this video is that faith without works is dead. Piper is a proponent of the doctrines of grace. He is on the other end of the spectrum that we attain salvation by works. If one has faith in Christ yet refuses to fight against lust, to use his example from the video you shared, then what kind of faith is that? To not want to kill your sin dead on behalf of Christ. Be careful not to put the cart before the horse! We are saved by God drawing us to his grace. The genuine test of that faith is your works. You aren’t saved by those works but by grace through faith. The bigger picture piper probably laid out in the fullness of the sermons that were snipped in the video was the antithesis to your accusation. The question that now arises brother is Do you believe one can believe in Christ and carry out the rest of his life having never repented or worked to put to death sin and make it to heaven? See 1Corinthians 15:10. Paul worked, but it was not him but the grace of God!

No matter where Ravi Zacharias preaches, he preaches the truth. If folks got saved under a Billy Graham you can be sure that the same Holy Spirit can works thru the uncompromising preaching of Ravi Zacharias. Have you listened to the sermon that he preached at BYU. Truth. That was his criteria for going. He did exactly that. I haven’t heard his sermon at the Passion Conference, but I’d be surprised if he was not consistent with the true Gospel. He just doesn’t compromise. Matthew 5:13-16. There are LOST folks in all these venues. There are lost folks in your church. Matthew 7:21. There are some that you mention that I’ve heard the compromise and it’s paramount. But how will they hear Romans 10:14-17. How to we make the distinction with whom we share the Gospel? Dr. Zacharias likely was the only one in either venue who spoke the Truth. They need to hear...they must hear! My conclusion is the same as the Apostle Paul in 2nd Timothy 2:21-26, focusing on 25-26, ...”And the servant of the Lord must not strive;?but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, in meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth, and that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.”
But what do I know? I’m just a woman with a KJV Bible.

Most of my adult life I’ve been in neo-evangelical churches…although many start out more on the fundamental side, but I’ve seen many compromise doctrine when the church starts growing and they build multiple campuses and start bringing in modernists as guest speakers…it seems that when the church gets big, they become willing to do anything to bring in money and get people in the door. Lately God has been showing me a lot of doctrinal error that I learned and He is showing me the truth by digging into the Word. Your videos are very helpful! God bless your ministry.

Too bad at the end of Pastor John's August 9, 2020 John MacArthur turned the sermon into Calvinist doctrine of no hope of salvation for billions. He said it is impossible for you to beg Jesus to save you. His election doctrine came up that God has his elect from the beginning of time all others will have no chance of salvation, so billions are destined to hell fire forever with no hope to ask Jesus to save them. What a horrible doctrine. John Mac Arthur falsely says you can take the mark of the beast and go to heaven.

That would contradict several biblical passages. For example:
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
      2 Peter:3:9
God doesn't want anyone to perish, however, he predestines some to hell? How does that work? Isn't that contradictory? Someone wants to be saved and cries unto God and God says "Sorry, you are predestined to hell" and that would also contradict several passages in the book of John. In the whole bible actually.
Sure, some things are predestined, like that the believer shall carry the image of Christ, or He elects and chooses, like when he chose Abraham. But I think there's a huge gap between chosing that and choosing who is going to hell without opportunity to ever come to Him.

It is true that some preachers are more liberal than the others, but there must be clear cut where is that point of no return. Of course there are preachers who need to be called out and exposed for their serious erroneous doctrine and heresy and I am personally all for it.

Apostles and prophets again dear sir be aware that you need to understand the context of the written word. Are you aware who were prophets or apostles Paul was referring to? Guess not.
Let me put it this way; " today while Corona virus is running rampant around the world, Christians are watching UA-cam and encouraging each other with cell phones and SMS messages." What do you think, what would Christians 2000 years ago understand from that sentence?
That is my point, they would not understand anything, because they do not get what certain terms mean. Same is with us and therefore your conclusion...

    • @mijko79
      @mijko79 4 роки тому +1

@@paulrobinson9318 So let me get this straight, in the past reply you wrote load of text, supported it with bible verses and now you are tearing down the bible clarity? Are you saying that you trust history more than what the bible says?
Miracles are still possible and still here, however it is Gods prerogative to exercise them, not the choice of few liars who prey on their victims for financial gain.
At the same time all those manifestations we see around today are nowhere limited to "christianity". Tongues, Hindus have them, healings too, miracles as well, so how do you make a clean cut between right and wrong. Verify first, 99,9% of so called miracles dissapear when you want to verify them, 100% of healings are gone too (either person was never really affected or did not receive healing). I would say it had nothing to do with God of the bible. When God was doing miracles everything was made clear nothing was hidden, in fact Jesus said "go, show yourself to the priests".
Today we are supposed to take all for granted and just trust them...? Did God change there? I guess...
If the Bible is not clear and accurate than you can make anything out of it. What you are doing, otherwise you would know that there are only 12 Apostles (And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
Revelation 21:14 ESV). But the bible is unclear so now you have "apostles" everywhere, speaking special revelations that are necessary for today's church...even when the scriptures said that it is good enough and sufficient (All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
      2 Timothy 3:16‭-‬17 ESV)
But it is still unclear, right?
But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction.
      2 Peter 2:1
      Still unclear...
Well if you reject the scriptures (and its clarity), than you can do pretty much whatever you want, there are no limits. This is actually happening, people are rejecting the scriptures and the results are visible.
Oh I forgot to touch on prophets, first and foremost prophets were servants of God who took the word of God and explained it to the people. They were not predictors of the future as we have them portrayed today and as some of self proclaimed prophets want us to believe. How do we know? Their prophecies do not come true. They are as accurate as Horoscope.
The scriptures tell us how to recognize a real forteller of the future "when a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord , if the word does not come to pass or come true, that is a word that the Lord has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously. You need not be afraid of him."
      Deuteronomy 18:22 ESV
But again, scripture is unclear...there in lies your problem and that is why people like Kenneth Copeland can missguide you into thinking that they rule the Covid 19 and can heal and rebuke the sicknesses that we are promised in the atonement according to Isaiah 53.
BTW please show me your glorified body that comes with the atonement too if you are claiming full health for now.

My concern with not infiltrating the universities: their influence spreads to the churches eventually. The same universities we decry are often the same ones that give degrees to our student members, which we praise them for achieving.
So we don't decry the need for the university... clearly it needs more Christians in it then, right?
There's a book called "Christ and Culture" which looks at 5 different ways the church interacts with the culture and the state. All 5 methods are critiqued, but the first one, Separation, is the most-critiqued method out of all of them. It has the most negative consequences, for obvious reasons.
For this reason, I think the risk of interaction in the world is valid, all you need to do first is to make sure you affirm the identity of the members before they start interacting.
All that being said, I am unsure whether or not I'd let Merlyn Manson sing at a church gathering. But what if that opportunity makes him a Christian? You never know.
