I cried. I literally went through this exact same situation. And I refused to believe them. And seeing you thrive gives me so much hope & encouragement that I will heal my body.
5 years later and Hannah is still following this (she posts about it on ig). I love how inquisitive she is here and just trying to absorb everything from Alisa.
I am 48 and my mind has been blown, if anything from the brilliant corrections to the patriarchal western system of women's bodies. For too long women have been made feel because of their hormones they are irrational, incapable and unpredictable and we have accepted the low self esteem, neurotic tendencies and mood swings as something we just have to endure. Think we should call it the Periodarchy and I nominate Vitti for Nobel period prize 🤩.
I’m a doctor myself and I’ve just been diagnosed with fibroids so this video was super informative!! Especially as my whole training has been deal with the issue as it arrives rather than the underlying cause! Thank you :)
This is so eye-opening. So i've been taking maca root, evening primrose oil, high strength vitamin b complex and zinc for 6 months consistently and I've noticed a dramatic changed. Period pain gone, acne gone and pms non existent. I used to breakout severely on my face, neck and downstairs that time of the month, now that is not a problem. My cycle has been 28 days every month now on, I beyond grateful to hbfit, for their articles on this and now this video. My doctor didn't see a problem as she thought it just happens to young people.
Hi Paige Fryer, I live in London, England so I’m not sure if they are available to you. But what I use are viridian organic maca root vegetarian capsule, nature’s aid evening primrose oil 1000mg, boots (the pharmacy) vitamin b complex and their zinc.
Hi I Sa here is the link to the zinc : www.boots.com/boots-zinc-10mg-180-one-a-day-tablets-10131469 and here is the vitamin b: www.boots.com/boots-re-balance-re-energise-vitamin-b-complex-90-tablets-10116067 . As stated prior, I live in London, England so I’m not sure you can get the actual items or equivalent
Wow! This video just saved me! Thank you so much! I've been going through so many issues with PMS and my doctor could only suggest birth control! I'm moving forward towards completely transforming my diet and life! Thanks again! ❤️
My mother never spoke to me about getting a period. From school I had learned that women get a period but I knew little more than that. At 13 years old I had severe cramps and pain and spent my entire synchronized swimmimg practice, locked in the toilet, crying. I was not sure what to think because there was some pinkish blood coming out of me but not in any volume, only visible when I wiped. It didnt seem like what I imagined a "period" would have looked like...and it was so painful that I could barely stand. When my mother came to pick me up I tried to tell her something was wrong and when I explained what had happened to me through sobs she told me that I had gotten my first period. She went to the store for me and bought me a variety of feminine hygiene products and gave them to me but we had no further discussion about it ever again and she did not show me how to use the products. I had no more bleeding though and did not get another period until I was 17 years old, over 4 years later. I left home and moved out on my own just before my 14th birthday because I was sexually abused by a family member since my childhood and I had recently started a job in a restaurant. That first paycheck gave me the opportunity to escape my abusive childhood home by subletting a bedroom in the home of some teenagers who were older than me. In retrospect, I realize that the extreme pain I was experiencing at 13 was actually due to a UTI (probably caused by the sex abuse) though I may or may not have also had my first period then too...I really do not think I did though. Since no one had ever shown me how the feminine hygiene products worked when I was 13 years old, when I got what was perhaps my first real period at 17 I felt humiliated and embarassed ashamed but I was too scared to talk to anyone. I basically lived alone at this point so I had no one to go to the store for me and buying period products was so mortifying for me that it literally gave me panic attacks. I had to look at the directions in the box to try and figure out how to use tampons correctly and that was how I learned that period blood came out from a different hole than my urine did. Lol. Pretty sad. I am in my 30s now and am currently reading woman code. I went through 2 years of chronic reoccuring UTI's with no known source/cause and got into tens of thousands of dollars worth of debt in allopathic medical bills that resulted in no answers or solutions. Some doctors had begun to suggest it might be somatic issues related to unresolved trauma based on my history. This made me feel insane! How could the pain be so real??? Other doctors were suggesting endometriosis and medication. The ridiculousness of this mystery made me skeptical enough of allopathy and desperate enough to seek out the help of a naturopath. The naturopath did a ton of lab work right away and reviewed all my previous medical records and discovered right away that in the prior two years of almost daily debilitating pain and failing health no one had ever tested me for anything other than a typical E. Coli infection, even at specialists offices. The results of the labwork with the Naturopath showed that I had a bacterial infection but it was not E. Coli bacteria and through using herbs she perscribed me I was able to completely and fully recover from that nightmare in less than a week. Never had a problem with that pain again. I was shocked! This had impacted my career, my sex life and made me suicidally depressed and doubt my sanity-especially when I was being told that it was somatic. My health dramatically declined from this long term infection in my body and I am pre-diabetic, have a sluggish gallbladder and adrenal fatigue. I also put on a considerable amount of weight (60 lbs.) during that dark period. Women need this information. I have needed this information. I am now reading woman code and have the myflo app and though I do have a lot of frustrations with the app (it freezes and crashes and loses my info a lot), I am excited to be getting some good information to help myself. Its only a few days into a few changes and I am feeling better than I was. Thanks!
I remember one day, I had so much pain in my stomach from my period that I almost passed out. I felt dizzy, my blood pressure dropped and I had to lay on the ground. I saw the doctor about it and all she could tell me is "if it happens again let me know" No advice , no information, no help whatsoever. I have since been on Ibuprofen for it, where if i don't take it, I end up on the floor again like the above. I am happy I found this video and will get the book. Thankyou
By far one of THE BEST videos I’ve seen EVER! Thank you so much Hannah and Alisa for this incredibly informative video. I am currently being tested for Endometriosis and I’ve never needed this information more. I know so many women that had some of the issues you discussed so I’ll be forwarding this to them!! I’m going to take my quiz and get the app! Thank you!!!!
So much gratitude & love for the working commitments Alisa Vitti makes to speak about cycles of Flo Living. It is incredible to hear Alisa Vitti speak positively about Madame Gandhi and efforts liberating women from the stigmas of period blood. Thanks for sharing this interview opportunity!
I am obsessed with learning about all of this right now! So much information to learn but its so helpful!!!! I've been reading the book and I also have her her now.
I had one of the most painful periods of my life last month and I can probably attribute it to my huge increase in coffee consumption the last few months when I started the whole ketogenic trend diet. Caffeine is awful for women.
This was amazing and sooo informative. Really wanted to hear more about cramps. That's one of the hugest issues and that was such a short part of the segment.
This is amazing! And sooo educational. I wish I had watch this a long time ago. This is the truth behind a lot of inconsistent answers doctors give out.
Thank you, Hannah, for this delicious information! I will share your video with my 34 year old daughter who gets very bad cramps! I did not, my cycles were regular, they lasted 4 days, max, and I did not PMS or have mood swings. I’m not bragging, just sharing. I am 61, and I did not go into menopause until I was 56; no bad peri-menopause either, and I have never had a super bad hot flash, only what I call a “warm sensation”. I do take a maca powder that I buy at Whole Foods, which I love, to keep my estrogen and libido balanced. I love this channel, and I also follow your husband’s channel, too. I love your realness - so many SM people are all about themselves and give no useful information to the world - and I love your even-tempered demeanor. God bless you, your husband, and baby Preston‼️🙏🏽🥰
I really appreciate this interview. Im reading her book and its so good to listen someone saying theres a chance besides taking medication for any reason
Shit! This is so amazing thank you. Im 23 and I have PCOS, I’ve been feeling like shit for years and I do all of these things like tea is the only way I’m not stuffy before I leave the house. Once Im up in the morning im up naps are non existent rn. I use the strips over my nose, saline solutions, liquid IV is my best friend rn I mean at this point I can’t even leave the house without feeling nauseous and I eat almost everything tbh. Nothing works at this point. Now I know to just go with my gut because its been rough honestly through college and now the job market is just savage. I can’t wait for my next doctors appointment rn cause I know what I need to do next. Thank!
THIS was fantastic! I'd seen Aisa Vitti's well& good have coffee at the end of meals if at all & it changed my life. I saw her Ted Talk & it amplified all that. & Now this? She's pretty amazing.
very good information! I don't have PCOS, but I had some issues in the past with my sex hormones. I do agree that food can help with a lot of hormonal imbalance, although I need to say that coffee is not that bad as it was mentioned. Excess coffee consumption however can cause a lot of problems!
I've been taking zinc, a b-complex, magnesium oil, vitex, evening primrose, eating a whole food diet, fixing my gut, eating plenty of healthy fat, and tried many other things, but my hormone levels remain unchanged and my acne, PMS, cramps, and heavy long periods with spotting are exactly as they've been. I've been doing this for over a year!
The thing is a lot of the things she talking about I wish I could do on my cycle. I am non-functional on my cycle. I have stage 4, I do want to make it better. I’ve tried eating better. There was a time when eating better help.
I can’t do coffee I love the taste and I’m able to eat coffee ice cream lol but I get the jitters she has so much great info I wish my mother taught me more when I started my period now I’m 44 and I’m here scrambling for information so that I can help my daughter she’s 23 she’s had a difficult time with different birth control so painful with the Mirena smh constant severe cramps always bleeding so I really don’t like birth control
I'm sorry to hear that you daughter is having a difficult time with birth control! I was 30 when I learned about all of this, not 44, but still I know how you feel. I wish I learned this in school. If your daughter wants more support, I have a page all about menstrual cycle health and fitness.
I have a question. If I’m on the pill will all these steps of nutrition and exercise help me out or would it not help as much as it would being off the pill? Since the pill is suppressing the natural hormone balance..?
the my flow tracker app seems to be not available for Android?. 👋 The Woman Code I will DEFINETLY look into.I have my annual around this time & will ask all these\many questions or seek an internist great talk.thank you BOTH
I want to get back on Prempro at age 76 because it helps me sleep and I have been on it before but no one will put me on it....I live on Long Island, ny
My daughter asked me what is the best birth control to take. I never took the pill but I have a holistic mindset. I am researching but it's been hard to find the answer

Hmm - it makes a lot of sense to not do HIIT during the luteal phase. Your progesterone peaks right before your period, and HIIT exercise increases cortisol which causes "progesterone steal". Wish she explained this more.
I have been struggling with adrenal fatigue...and all symptoms you can imagine 🙊😵I wonder if that would help me?? Got all those problems after having my third child (boy) Didn't have any problems with my two oldest daughter's..... Wonder if that has something to do with my son??!🤔🤔
Need some help, please if possible. For the fourth time I have recurrent ovarian dermoid cysts. Right is 70mm and left is 57mm, is there anything apart from surgery to help with this?
Why are you saying always lube to everyone, really!? For every other subject nature provides the answer, I'm so confused by this. I dont need lube and if I did I would try to adress health concerns, not use lube first and every time I'm in that so called dry phase... the fact that it can be stimulated with a little bit of time means stimulation is the obvious way to go.
I wonder what Alisa Vitti has to say about trans folk in regards to hormones. A friend told me that at her childrens school they are teaching them that there are actually 72 genders now. Hmmm.
I love Alisa and her book! She's full of knowledge but I only watched this video because of HER! The interviewer, Hannah was.... sort of clueless/dingy. At least read the book before you interview the person who wrote it.
it makes me so happy that this is so long omg
Hahaha totally thought the same thing!
I cried. I literally went through this exact same situation. And I refused to believe them. And seeing you thrive gives me so much hope & encouragement that I will heal my body.
BEST VIDEO ON UA-cam NO DOUBT. THIS IS REVOLUTIONARY. THIS IS THE FUTURE!!!!!!!!!!!!
5 years later and Hannah is still following this (she posts about it on ig). I love how inquisitive she is here and just trying to absorb everything from Alisa.
Exactly! She’s phenomenally devoted to her family and life in general. Now I’m like its me Im the problem.
I am 48 and my mind has been blown, if anything from the brilliant corrections to the patriarchal western system of women's bodies. Hey Anna, What products specifically (brand)? Thanks for sharing this.

I had one of the most painful periods of my life last month and I can probably attribute it to my huge increase in coffee consumption the last few months when I started the whole ketogenic trend diet. Caffeine is awful for women.
Dandy blend is an amazing and inexpensive coffee alternative!!!! Try it!
This was amazing and sooo informative. Really wanted to hear more about cramps. That's one of the hugest issues and that was such a short part of the segment.
Intriguing!! Our bodies are fascinating... we need to be educated. Thank you for the video!

Much needed video, very informative and honest. Thank you x
very important info ! thank you very much i'll check the web and the app !
I can’t do coffee I love the taste and I’m able to eat coffee ice cream lol but I get the jitters she has so much great info I wish my mother taught me more when I started my period now I’m 44 and I’m here scrambling for information so that I can help my daughter she’s 23 she’s had a difficult time with different birth control so painful with the Mirena smh constant severe cramps always bleeding so I really don’t like birth control

this is amazing. thank you Hannah and Alisa.
This makes so much sence. OMG!
I have a question. If I’m on the pill will all these steps of nutrition and exercise help me out or would it not help as much as it would being off the pill? Since the pill is suppressing the natural hormone balance..?
what was the tea blend he mentioned ? roobois and the other??
2 years later but I think it was kukicha! :)
thank you this is so informative!!!!!
the my flow tracker app seems to be not available for Android?. 👋 The Woman Code I will DEFINETLY look into.I have my annual around this time & will ask all these\many questions or seek an internist great talk.thank you BOTH
OMG I FREAKING LOVE HER
I want to get back on Prempro at age 76 because it helps me sleep and I have been on it before but no one will put me on it....I live on Long Island, ny
Where can i get this coffee alternative blend?? Ther eare no links 😢
Great info!
Link to her app or website?
My daughter asked me what is the best birth control to take. I never took the pill but I have a holistic mindset. I am researching but it's been hard to find the answer
Herbs like carrot seed block the opportunity for sperm implantation if taken around the time of ovulation. Definitely talk to a doc about this and do your own research. But I wanted to share some of my research findings with you.
Such a good video!
What were the coffee alternatives that the both of you suggested? Would you mind jotting that down somewhere for me and the other viewers? This was super informative and eye opening.
Hi Ina! Hannah recommended this coffee alternative : www.dandyblend.com/
I love Dandyblend! It really tastes like coffee.
Thanks a bunch!
Hi Ina! We recommend Dandy Blend and Four Sigmatic for coffee alternatives!
Kukicha has some caffeine, does it not? Since it is toasted green tea stem?
Hmm - it makes a lot of sense to not do HIIT during the luteal phase. Your progesterone peaks right before your period, and HIIT exercise increases cortisol which causes "progesterone steal". Wish she explained this more.
Yes Monica! The progesterone steal is real! I'm so glad that you shared this comment.
Thank you so much for this.
Cbd oil helps my pms soooo much xx
Please, subtitles in Spanish. I need it.
I have been struggling with adrenal fatigue...and all symptoms you can imagine 🙊😵I wonder if that would help me?? Got all those problems after having my third child (boy)
Didn't have any problems with my two oldest daughter's..... Wonder if that has something to do with my son??!🤔🤔
Can anyone pls inform me about tea Alisa's having in the morning?
Thank you !
Need some help, please if possible. For the fourth time I have recurrent ovarian dermoid cysts. Right is 70mm and left is 57mm, is there anything apart from surgery to help with this?
What’s this my flow thing?
How come we get breast cyst ????
Love it! ☺☺☺👌💚💚💚
Thank you!!
Oh I can't get it on the replacement coffee?
Jacquelin Eng matcha or dandelion root 💁🍵
She may need to have her pituitary checked too. If there is an adenoma growing on it, her menstrual cycle may be affected. 😞
links to her sites would be helpful in the comments. thanks
It's in the description but here is her website! www.floliving.com/
Thank you. I didn't see it in the description when it was first put up. got it. awesome
wow! 🎉
Lena Dunham ended up having a hysterectomy. For some women, nutrition isn't the answer. Medical options have to be explored.
💓💓
oh no! It started so nice and then she said whole grains...healthy carbohydrate... no :( Not everybody is the same, not everyone tolerates carbs!
Correct! Not everyone can eat the same foods. Whole grains can be supportive for some but inflammatory for others. We need to know our own bodies!
lo loero en españom
Why are you saying always lube to everyone, really!? For every other subject nature provides the answer, I'm so confused by this. Wow!
So then what is the best version of birth control?
Brianna Francis FAM (Fertility Awareness Method) is the best. No synthetic hormones! No babies!
I love the content of this channel but I wish Hannah was less interrupting her guests while they speak.
I wonder what Alisa Vitti has to say about trans folk in regards to hormones. A friend told me that at her childrens school they are teaching them that there are actually 72 genders now. Hmmm.
why is the host so loud!!?!?!?!??!!?!?!
Lol. BEEF, EGGS, and SALMON are higher in B vitamins than grains. Don’t need grains.
I love Alisa and her book! She's full of knowledge but I only watched this video because of HER! The interviewer, Hannah was.... sort of clueless/dingy. At least read the book before you interview the person who wrote it.
i was clueless here too and im glad she step out and reached out to this lady. We are all learning here.
