To palm clinch Conor or to take Conor down . Conor has a high takedown defense percentage . So I don't think Conor would have been taken down in that round or in that exchange . If cowboy would had let go which he did he would have been still knocked out stiff because of how fast Conor would had cut him off into another left cross .
