    Me and my Mother watch you all the time! The females love this stuff too. Grew up on Chesapeake Bay crabbing everyday. Loved it! Mom loves to fish!

    So you caught some nice Atlantic salmon. Fresh. That is really great to be healthy. A natural aim for sustainable fish. Congrats! 🦈👍

    Beautiful location. Excellent fishing. Beautiful plane. Fantastic video. You are very fortunate indeed. Very wise decisions about the wings and go / no go.
    My first floatplane trip was out of Moosehead Lake. I miss my days flying a 172. Father in law owned two of them. I was blessed with great inlaws.
    One time we were fishing from a boat on a northern lake above Baxter when a floatplane circled us. He flew downwind and turned around to set up his approach. He then came back into the wind low and slow and dropped fish close to us. He then tipped his wing and flew off. His sense of humor was great!

    I would love to be stuck in that place. In that cabin for 3 days. Just fishing and playing cards and relaxing. Perfect.

    Thanks so much for your great video really enjoyed watching this. The salmon fishing paid off in the end, & worked wonders with your pole fishing alarm what a great invention. Love your cabin & you guys playing cards, plus looking for extra foods in the cupboards. Wise decisions made with flying whether to go or stay, my friend who flys a Cessna is always conscious of weather conditions & if we have to stay somewhere overnight we would rather than taking risks. I am always traveling in my friend's Cessna to great places for fish, we have great times together & bring home plenty for family.

      No these are landlocked salmon. Unfortunately we no longer have an atlantic salmon fishery in Maine.

    • @TheFishingDoctorsAdventures
      @TheFishingDoctorsAdventures 4 роки тому

      @@jacobknowles5421 But those are the type of salmon they are, are they not genetically similar despite no ocean migration? They sure look like Landlocked Atlantic salmon to me. Like in the Pacific we have Coho, Chinook, Pink, Sockeye and Chum salmon. All different types of salmon. Yours is a type of salmon. I looked it up now they are Atlantics. Same thing here we have Kokanee which are Landlocked Sockeye Salmon.

    • @jacobknowles5421
      @jacobknowles5421  4 роки тому +1

      The Fishing Doctors Adventures That makes sense now that you say that. Our lake salmon must be landlocked Atlantic’s. A lot of our salmon are stocked. But we do have a few native lakes left.

    • @TheFishingDoctorsAdventures
      @TheFishingDoctorsAdventures 4 роки тому

      @@jacobknowles5421 yeah we have a lot of stocking out here on the west coast as well in Canada. From what I read there were four original lakes that your land locked salmon were found in Maine. Pretty cool how that happened way back when. Thanks for the vids!

    I have would to fish but the one why ice fishing. You with younger they would have branches or logs that the can to hold them and jumping on the ice. Farther are holes (5-8) with corn kennels on the hole so the kernels will go to the bottom. And the holes are one person and watch the fish coming. When they see the fish, the jumping the ice will stop but still jumping. The person on the hole has a pole and the end has a wire like a circle. The fish goes to the wire and the person, grab hard and bring it the barrel next to the hole. Then bring a new pole and wire and ready. They have a lot of poles with wire. The barrel was full, and the different family take their part. It was the only fishing but it is a great memories!

    • @jacobknowles5421
      @jacobknowles5421  4 роки тому +1

      I just took an old jig rod and cut an opening in the last eye. Run the line through it and strip it in like a fly rod.

    • @sp33dyswhitness-10
      @sp33dyswhitness-10 4 роки тому

    • @jacobknowles5421
      @jacobknowles5421  4 роки тому +1

      Sp33dyswhitness - yup, didn’t really need to be done on these fish but it was a good chance to practice. It takes a little getting used to setting it up while a big fish is taking line. But once its set up I feel much better fighting a big fish on a rod then by hand.
