Omg- How does an American (me) and a German ( Some Random guy channel) have the exact same music tastes. Either higher powers or our parents met on a 1 week vacation to the other country.
You know, there is (or was) also another channel with the same (or at least similar) taste for music: Malte's Movie Channel. I enjoyed the videos he uploaded in the mid- to late 2010's, but some time in the late '10's or early '20's, almost all of his videos were removed - probably due to copyright claims.
He also have almost the same to me, having both Simon and Garfunkel songs and The Winner Takes it All being the respective most favourite songs and America's The Border (that one sent shivers to me knowing someone else likes that too as much as me, though seems like SRG loves it more, meanwhile I love America's View from A Ground and have one song from it as my 1982's most favourite song). Also I really like Heartbreaker and Heart of Gold aswell
Wow! Wolfsheim - Kein zurück. My respect for that choice! Not very popular but very deep lyrics and the electronic 80's sound fits so good. And as a 'Devotee' I love you for your 2023 choice. 👍🏻🥰

Actually I love your videos, but this time it's a very good example that music taste might be very different. Probably I would have taken for every year another song. 😂 But, please go on with your videos, I really enjoy your work!
As always. Again a very nice compilation of some great songs trogh the years. But I'll say it again: since the 90s the quality of music has declined rapidly. Exceptions aside.
Woah, interesting to know. I kinda see most lists I encounter narrowing it to that range (or 200, some release though in parts). But yeah, I was wondering because I had just made a top 150 which I put tentatively on a playlist
Nothing there that I did not like. Lots of bands I know but have never heard that song before... so it will be fun to seek out the full version. Brandon Flowers is such an amazing song writer. This is probably not your type of music but I just heard "Girls Chase Boys" by Ingrid Micekson 2014. I love happy tunes. It might not be for you but I thought I would pass it along. Thank you sir for sharing your favourites. Days are always better with you in them.
Alcune delle tue canzoni preferite, sono anche le mie: Jigsaw, Foreigner, Bill Withers, The Cars, Abba, Alizee, Sparks, Dionne Warwick, The Platters, Jennifer Page.
If I may ask, where did you live during these decades? I notice that you have songs that I associate with the time that I lived in Canada in the 70s, which weren't as prominent in the States, and then you have songs from the 90s that I never heard when I lived in the States? A lot of the European stuff from the 90s & beyond I don't recognize. Just curious. Thanks.
I've lived in Germany, but have always been interested in music from other countries. As a teenager I used to listen to US chart show broadcasts on the radio for example.
My favs from 1980's 1980 - Tunnel Of Love (Dire Straits) 1981 - Summer on a Solitary Beach (Franco Battiato) 1982 - Radio Varsavia (Franco Battiato) 1983 - New Year's Day (U2) 1984 - Master and Servant (Depeche Mode) 1985 - The Version of Bad at Live Aid (U2) (Followed by Money for Nothing by Dire Straits) 1986 - Master of Puppets (Metallica) 1987 - Never Let Me Down Again (Depeche Mode) 1988 - Blackened (Metallica) 1989 - Was It All Worth It (Queen)

Well, 'random guy,' your musical tastes are interesting, but I'll have to admit that many of the songs (and even a bunch of the performers) you selected are unknown to me. And I'm an old pop music fan who never stopped paying attention to the current songs. I'm guessing you aren't a US native (maybe European) and that you're old, like me. I was right with you through your list until the 1970s, and then you started to lose me. Some of my favorite groups like ABBA and Journey showed up, but with songs I'd never heard of. So tell me: where are you from and how old are you?

Some Random Guy - I leave my comments often, so let me ask - how old are you? This list reminds me of a letter to a newspaper from the 90's "Hi, my name is Natalia, I'm 15, I like Nirvana and Michael Jackson...". No offense, Coco Jumbo and Linkin Park....Thanks for Roy Orbison captured at two different points in his career.

@@juliusnepos6013You, too! You've misspelled the word "favorite."
С каждым видео добавляю в свой плейлист новые отличные песни. 😊
Picking 10 songs per year would be hard enough so good job on really zeroing in what you like
Omg- How does an American (me) and a German ( Some Random guy channel) have the exact same music tastes.
Was für eine tolle Song-Auswahl! Könnte ich mich zu 90% anschließen! 😉 Besonders 1977 und 1987! 💃 Geil, dass Madonna dabei ist! 👍🏼
Wow, you have a really diverse taste! I like you!
Awesome, just awesome. You have great taste in music.
How ironical🤣2024 - Billy Joel 😂👍
Thank you for sharing seven decades of your favourite tunes with us. You have excellent taste in music. 🎶🎧❣️
Do a list of Bond movie intro songs !!!
Great Compilation!
America - The Border
@@somerandomguy_music Thanks.
Wow! Wolfsheim - Kein zurück. My respect for that choice! Not very popular but very deep lyrics and the electronic 80's sound fits so good. And as a 'Devotee' I love you for your 2023 choice. 👍🏻🥰
I didn't see Supertramp coming.. buddy you have great taste is music.
Das ist mal ne richtig gute Playlist ! ❤

Excited for this one!
Surprising choices. Above all for what regards the 80's. But I am happy that you show us what you like most. At last. 😉
Топ пропитанный грустью... Спасибо
Woah we had a lot of lesser known songs as favourites, especially The Border by America
Good choice for 2024. A new song from Billy Joel and a concert tour. I saw him in May 2024. It's definitely one of the highlights of the year.
My sinceres condolences for those who missed the 60s, 70s, 80s music golden era. Hi 👋 from Morocco.
❤❤❤ that is an impressive playlist❤❤❤
Actually I love your videos, but this time it's a very good example that music taste might be very different. Probably I would have taken for every year another song. 😂
But, please go on with your videos, I really enjoy your work!
Fantastic! Make more videos like this, please!
Thank you for the video. I agree with you about the 1975 song Sky High by Jigsaw.
Ich weiß gar nicht was ich dazu sagen darf. Volle Hütte mittenrein. Zu 1000% …
DANKESCHÖN ‼️
Nice sharing
3:20 and 6:34 Probably my favourite songs of those two artists. 😍
Thanks for Amy Macdonald. She looks unjust forgotten now. And Savage Garden too
As always. Again a very nice compilation of some great songs trogh the years. But I'll say it again: since the 90s the quality of music has declined rapidly. Exceptions aside.
I couldn’t make a list like this for the last 15 years. A few hits have caught my ear, but not annually.
Love the sort of non-consensus picks in here, like, Coco Jamboo
Excellent choices. I didn’t yet have a favorite song in 2023 or 2024. Thank you for the suggestions.
The B-side of Daniel is my most favourite song of 1973! That year's version of Skyline Pigeon!
This might be too much but I would like ro see you have a video about your top most favourite songs of all time (either top 100 or 150)
I might compile such a list one day but it would be quite difficult to narrow it down to 100 or 150 songs.
I love Girls Chase Boys, great song!
Great taste in music
I’d like to see you compile a list of your own personal #1 songs
Yeah
Thanks.
Alcune delle tue canzoni preferite, sono anche le mie: Jigsaw, Foreigner, Bill Withers, The Cars, Abba, Alizee, Sparks, Dionne Warwick, The Platters, Jennifer Page.
E John Miles! ❤️👍
This makes want to make my own list, now. I think I will.
What taste! I love it
We must have very similar taste because about 60% of the Singles you chose. I absolutely love too.
Creator of this channel, I'm from Poland and I also love Placebo and Alizee😁🤩🤩
Always liked that Jennifer Paige song too
I can't imagine myself picking only one favorite song. especially from the 80's and 90's. It'd be a torture
I think Billy Joel's still alive in 2024.
So this guy _knows every single song in the world_ - has very diverse music tastes.
My favs from 1980's
1980 - Tunnel Of Love (Dire Straits)
1981 - Summer on a Solitary Beach (Franco Battiato)
1982 - Radio Varsavia (Franco Battiato)

1984 - Master and Servant (Depeche Mode)
1985 - The Version of Bad at Live Aid (U2) (Followed by Money for Nothing by Dire Straits)
1986 - Master of Puppets (Metallica)
1987 - Never Let Me Down Again (Depeche Mode)
1988 - Blackened (Metallica)
1989 - Was It All Worth It (Queen)
St Elmo's Fire (Man in Motion) is super underrated. I put that song on and I feel like I can run a thousand miles lol

Are you sure about that? Can Some Random Guy do your list than the other ones?
Well, 'random guy,' your musical tastes are interesting, but I'll have to admit that many of the songs (and even a bunch of the performers) you selected are unknown to me. And I'm an old pop music fan who never stopped paying attention to the current songs. I'm guessing you aren't a US native (maybe European) and that you're old, like me. I was right with you through your list until the 1970s, and then you started to lose me. Some of my favorite groups like ABBA and Journey showed up, but with songs I'd never heard of. So tell me: where are you from and how old are you?
I'm from Germany and 44 years old.
Just agree in 2002 😜

My Elton singing Daniel. I'm a 52 years longtime fan of my Main Man Elton.
6:00 Omg I loved that one. 😍
Is Kwabs supposed to be a one-hit wonder for that in the 2010's?
@@juliusjoa927 Tbh. yes
I'm 44.
