She harmonizes beautifully with anyone. Listen to Kenny Loggins' "Return to Pooh Corner." That's Amy singing harmony. She's also done harmony vocals on a lot of other artists recordings as varied as 'Keb 'Mo to Michael W. Smith. That's in addition to the many duets she's done with other artists.
@@wandareed2101 Country music is difficult to sing and you have to be trained to do it. Amy did it better than some of the "singers" today would do. I can't imagine Carrie Underwood trying to tackle this.

They each wrote songs and collaborated on a few which Buddy incorporated into his time with The Crickets. Montgomery never wanted to join the Crickets and became a successful record producer and obviously wrote songs for other artists. And yes "Back In Baby's Arms" was definitely a Patsy Cline song.

She’s not a member of the Opry. She’s just performing on the Opry stage. You don’t have to be a member to perform there. The Opry is mainly country music but they have had artists from different genres on the stage for years. When I went to a show at the Opry the other night, they showed a film before the show with all of the non country artists they’ve had before. Also that night I heard old country, current country, gospel, and r&b/soul.
This is a great old classic done beautifully by Amy Grant. I love that she and Vince hold each others hands.
She’s backed by a well seasoned band and two great back up singers to boot!
