I feel like something important is missing here... You want to maximize the amout of ground covered on your enemies screen. Therefore if it is a really narrow choke you peak out (like bind hookah/tp area) you wanna stay close to the wall in front. The amount of angle advantage you would get by going to the back wall, is negligible in the enemies perspective while for you it makes a huge difference. Same goes for contact peaks. You wanna show presence earlier to help your teammate by at least distracting the enemie.
