Years ago I had a budgie, we had him free in our home. He would go to his cage only when he was hungry. He would fall asleep in my lap. He lived for 15 yrs. Thanks for sharing, they are truly amazing.🙏❤️✌️

You would be super surprised how gentle they can be, their feet even with the nails, their beaks even though they could bite and take a chunck. They can be so gentle and soft.
It's like dogs wrestling. They hold back a bit, and there's always a risk of accidental injury, but it's extremely rare. It's similar to accidentally cutting or poking themself with a toy, though that's probably the higher risk.
Happened to my lil parrots once- it was just a scratch, as sharp as those claws look. She was okay, only flinched a bit when it happened, then went on playing till I intervened to check. It'd have to be intentional to be dangerous
