I never thought about it, but Ori really does fit well in a platform fighter.

Seriously ori needs way more love than it does today.
Its such a fun and challenging game that makes the most of the metroid format.

@@XKnight546 Yeah with extensive research on certain dates, It may actually be possible Ori could come around to smash sooner than we think. We need more people talking about this since the Partner showcase happened this month.
I will lose my mind in a great way if they put Ori in Smash Bros Ultimate. If I see a glowing leaf I'm going to freak out.

Hearing the remixed “Escape from ginso tree” broke my heart... I love this game to death
$5 for a new character, new stage, and a new song (presumably) for the new stage. Seems more than fine to me. Corrin in Sm4sh was $5 and didn't even come with a new stage or soundtrack. (Though, I guess $5 DLC in a $15 game DOES seem a lot more steep than in a $60 game.)
Either way, definitely buying this DLC when it comes out. Looks fantastic. :p
Actually, Corrin comes with two new tracks. I didn't notice it at first either, since the game kind of ninjas them in.
Lafuteric Knifedera but a 5 dollar dlc in a 15 dollar game is only 20 dollars in total, so I'd say it's worth it, over the like what 80 something total for smash Bros? even more if you get the stage dlc
I mean, Corrin came with a full second costume, multiple tracks, trophies not to mention it probably took longer to model Corrin then it took to sprite Ori.
To be honest, as a person who loves both games, I would have been willing to pay more for both characters. What is essentially another 10 hours of entertainment for $5... that's not bad any way you look at it.
You are insanely unfair, every other DLC character in Smash came with a stage and a song.
Phil Sama Ryu, Bayonetta, and Cloud did, but none of them were the same price as this RoA DLC. I mainly used Corrin because he/she was the same price

Now that Ori is now recently on the Switch thanks September mini direct partner showcase, the possibility of Ori for Smash may actually be up there.
After doing some research, Since 2 days ago, Ori's sequal just got announced for Switch along with the collectors edition as well. I checked more dates as Sakurai stated the plans were already set.
- 3 years ago, Ori for rivals of aether reveal trailer
- 1 year since the reveal of Ori and blind forest definitive edition got announced for Switch
- 8 months ago Byleth's reveal trailer had been announced along with the +6 mystery roster.
- 2 months ago, min min reveal trailer
- 2 days ago, Ori will of the wisps + collectors edition reveal for switch
- onward, have yet to make any new character reveal announcements
The possibility of Ori actually be a new Smash DLC fighter could actually be possibly around the corner.
One thing that truly made the ending combo awesome was the shift from day to night.
1st thought: AWESOME NEW CHARACTER
2nd thought: It's Rosalina with Witch Time

He just grapples to an enemy (or projectile), only to jump off of them in the direction the arrow is pointing. Anything else gets propelled in the opposite direction.

It's ... kind of comparable, but Bash is Ori's best ability in his game so it's nice to see it preserved in all its glory (including the Light Burst + Bash combo).
Not as busted as Rosaluma tho

Bert Leirens Xbox owns the ip, I don't think the character would go to a Nintendo console. This game is made by Dan who was the one at Microsoft sorting indys and wanted to make one himself, I highly doubt this game even going to Nintendo or PlayStation consoles

So that means xbox and pc.
Im not to happy with with that beceaus i cant trust them. They are known for making terrible desitions when it comes down to gaming. Moon studeos i do trust. I even admire them.
