Not all are professionals. Most are still students. Not particularly in this batch, but previously, they did have doctors, engineers, teachers, etc. =)

I think you like to forget that this is, by far, one of the best choirs in the world. The arranger, Anna Piquero, was a member of the group when they first won the European Grand Prix for Choral Singing in 1997. This song was first sung during Andrea Veneracion's last year as the choir's director and Mark Carpio's first. Carpio later went on to win the Grand Prix as well, just like his mentor. This song has been admired and appreciated by many respected personalities in choral music circles.

This is undoubtedly the best rendition of the song ever performed by a choral group.. Jawdropping! Notice how still they are while singing. They try to make it look effortless and easy for them when it is actually very hard to create those sounds in a still and in sitting position. It's a testament that this group is indeed one of the best choir group existed.... :-)
This version grew in me. I hated it at first but I keep coming back to listen to it everynow and then for like 1 and a half years. It just gets more beautiful everytime.

In my opinion, this is their best version of this song. Kudos dun sa bass soloist! Ang galing! That guy though in 0:39! Nagulat dun sa paghampas ng drum. That's very eye-catching and funny!

This was the very first rendition of this song i ever heard. I didn’t know that it was a song in Lion King back then. All other renditions i heard so far cannot surpass this one - well, just from my own standard.
I thought it was a beautiful rendition of the lion king classic! The animal noises gave the performance an ethereal element to it! So definitey no shame in that. Great Job Phil Madz! Feel sorry for those who can't appreciate quality music such as this

First listened to them perform this during Lea Salonga's Songs from the Screen concert, and I had trouble finding and putting my jaw back. And after watching this clip, they became even much better!
