Tips for 1:57
After tatami, buffer your forward jump and immediately slash once airborn. Wait a long time before inputting your airdash, as the recovery time for the jD is huge. Make sure your slash after the airdash isn't inputted too early, or the airdash will eat the slash input and you'll just use jD and it won't connect.
Hey thanks this actually helped a lot. Exactly what I was looking for.

Just wondering, why direction inputs are defined with numbers in GG combo guides?
Muammer Gündüzalp Kahraman It's done in the tekken community as well. The numbers represent the 8 directions on a joystick, but represented the way they would be seen on the number pad on a computer's keyboard.
Doctor D The number in Tekken are used more for the attack buttons (Playstation layout) 1=square 2=triangle 3=X 4= Circle
liked & sub! thx, cu & hf :)
As someone who loves fighting games and just recently picked up Guilty Gear, this was super helpful. It really is a shame that you only have 2 Guilty Gear videos. I would love to see you do combo guides for some other characters and those "everything you need to know" guides. I would definately watch them over and over again. :3
wow look at all these combos I'll never be able to do!
Why? They're pretty easy, except the corner loop. You just gotta try a little bit :)
You'd be surprised by the things you can do with just a lil determination
I guess I'm just very impatient and get frustrated easily when I don't get it right the first few times :( Then I just resort to button smashing and hope for the best
@@MimiMuffinCake It's been 4 years. Did you learn the combos? :O
@@aloeTevi I actually did learn more combos than I initially thought I would, considering my impatience lol! I'm playing Strive now and learning Giovanna, since there is no Baiken :c
Huzzah! it's been quite a while since there was a guide on here that helped me. From one underdog to another, I thank you.
Baiken is the best. Hope she's in the new Guilty Gear
Sadness
Pain
She will show, theyll throw her in as dlc because they know people will buy her
We took a fat L boys 😩
Game's probably gonna have years of DLC she's definitely gonna be available in the future....hopefully.
I can replicate these combos. my main problem is applying them in a pvp match. i always fimd myself doing the most basic un-optimal comboa
i feel you
Vagabond Jon Yeah you usually just keep playing the character till you get the feel of it, then the combos will come.
My advice~ practice on a training dummy until you can do it 80% of the time or better, then do it against the AI at a low enough level that it's not button reading, but does move around. When comfortable, do it in real matches and it'll start to feel natural pretty quickly.
***** definitely, i appreciate it. Ive always played guilty gear just never tried mastering it till xrd. Doesn't help that im coming from Sf
:o You need to make more GG Guides
Just got into the franchise recently! Thank you for uploading this
Badass combos, the slow mo voices had my dying though lol
Been playing around with her a lot. You can do some really fun combos. Great video by the way.
She's back and even better than before.
Watching this in aug 2019
Feb 2020
Dec 2020, this game needs more combo tutorials
Don't use 63214K>P to end your combos. The opponent air-techs as you can sew in the video. You're better off ending with a knockdown. air 236K looks like her best okizeme option
You also risk whiffing if your opponent is knocked back to far.
+TnTw/Coffee andTea
If I recall correctly (from her Guilty Bits guide,) her aerial tatami IS her best oki option.
The untechable time on 63214K>P is very long. There are ways to end your combo with it and give you a knockdown.
I've been playing way too defensive in this game. But baiken feels right for me. I used to play Anji Mito back in the day, hoping for some DLC.
Baiken is perfect for defensive gameplay so you did everything alright
also are there any tips for landing that 6H after Tatami Gaeshi?
I can't seem to get it out when I want to
SinLikeSnow it's a issue of size of character
Try in Jack-o it's works
But not in baiken for example.
Great combo moves!
Baiken moves in wonderful... is almost here, I can't wait to play with her on online battle! :D
D: You know, I still think old Baiken was interesting. She could escape pressure with her "parry" and didn't have some form of uppercut.
Nice Baiken Combos! I dislike the use of numbers for directions, but it's not something I can't figure out (especially since you've put up the key).
Ohh crap , didn't eaven realize it came to pc. Got to try it out just for the sake of seeing how good old gg x2 reload evolved over time. Ty for featuring it , otherwise I wouldnt eaven bother checking for PC release.
It hasn't yet. June 1st.
Noticed , still ty bro ;P
np!
nice vid, but the notation is a little confusing. For cancels you usually use ">", "," is used if you link specials or normals.
And you should use combos which end in knockdown, otherwise you're not in an advantageous position after the combo. And that's what you want to achieve besides the damage.
I have problems with the second combo that start like
2HS_tatami gaesi_6HS_Suzuran P
The 6HS not conect sometimes for me, and wen it does the suzuran P it's not connects at all.
Any tip?
I'm struggling for this combos lol I'm very new.
Edit; I think is for the size of character this combos are not worth in all character by the size and weight of thems
In baiken for example its not works.
To +TrueUnderDawgGaming,
Whilst we're utterly unfamiliar to each other (I've watched some of yer stuff and that's it,) I've a recommendation for you if you intend to create any further combo guides for Guilty Gear.
Find means into a knockdown - Guilty Gear heavily relies on okizeme (post-knockdown offence, if you're unfamiliar with the term.)
0:38 I’m very confused on how to get the 6H to connect out of the corner. It seems to only work in the corner.
Yo that was AWESOME can you show us is some answer combos next????
BAIKEN IS COMING BACK!
I've learn her aerials today :D
Nice! Do you have Answer combos?
Thank you
Can someone explain the S, 2D, 236+K - j.S, D - P+K+S - Air Dash - 236+K (Air) - 41236+S>S - 6H, 63214+K>P combo? When doing this in training mode it will work when training against Jack-o as shown in the video, but if I try doing it on Sol the combo will always drop, and there is no difference in how I'm executing it. Is this just a pointless combo that only works on specific characters?
dope!
These look good. the main problems I have are:
1. Netcode. The ultra bad lag some people have will make these impossible
2. The timing is super-strict, especially for a counter attack from Azami. Lag will cause hella issues.
3. Revolver actions work for Baiken, but most of her specials have to being inside other moves like Azami.
in short... Lag kills Baiken. And since I'm a baiken main, it's going to kill me
And I have no way out of that
What do you expect from online fighters? Online is *not* to improve accuracy, it's to gain match-up experience.
True, but whe. I play with my brother I have fun. And it's been a long LONG time since we've been playing online in BBCT and people still skin the intro causing the game to lag
baiken's dustloop is integral to her combo game, you either deal with it or find another character.
What does that have to do with lag and people skipping the intro?
I don't think it's a NetCode thing, unless you play on PS4 and it's different there
For me the game reports about 4-5 frames max delay and I don't feel much of a difference
Specials being doing from Azami and suzuran isn't really a problem, if I recall you can plink suzuran into specials to have them come out after one frame of suzuran
Those moves being delay just outside of suzuran isn't something you'll need too much anyway, kabari s serves as a more rewarding anti-air, dashing through the opponent only works if you're close which is what suzuran is for, Sakura is ok but is a little slow to use often I find, h follow up has very little use out of combos. Overall the only find I at least find I regularly use suzuran just to get to is her projectile, and even then I may only use it once or twice a match, and again, it's all quick and easy to get to.
I really want to get into this game but these combos seems so hard to do. Is this games that hard ?
I honestly just started playing this week. So I don't have the best understanding, but here goes!
The basic combos are some of the easiest in fighting games. They also do decent damage for how easy they are and they are universal for most characters (Punch, Kick, Slash, Heavy Slash, Special Move)
With that said, the longer combos are quite difficult for certain characters. Also, some characters are just tough in general, while others are very easy.
Do these combos work on the entire cast? I haven't been able to land 2H, 236+K - 6H, 63214+K > P combo on Sol or Millia, haven't tested it on others yet.
No, characters have weight classes so some float longer in the air then others
Are you gonna do one for Answer too? Pweaase?
I just purchased this game for 7 bucks on the PS store (was tired to play against spammers in SFV and wanted to get ready for Strive) and it's great. Awesome graphics and gameplay but... my fingers hurt...
hi,i from future...see u on samurai showdown,baiken...
You have any tips for landing the 41236+S>S? I'm off for the spacing for some reason
Thanks in advance!
I didn't know you played GG! Do a jam video please
can you combo into instant kills in this game? Or do you have to bait them?
You can, but your opponent needs to be in something called hellfire state
I wouldn't recommend relying on it to win you any matches though
NOICE!!!
Is there any reason to use her super over other routes other than unburstable damage? because it seems like it does not hit very hard
shadowagent usually no
I'm the two corners it says burst, but on their chest says otherwise ;)
The loop isn't that hard for me but hitting any of these combos online is
How do you act so soon after Tatami Gaeshi? The computer always recovers before I can follow up with anything.
It's a very tight link. It's even harder in the corner :(
I'm having a hard time getting the air dash for her dustloop combos. Any tips?
I'm having the same issue and can't seem to figure out why it only seems to work some of the time. I've tried delaying a bunch of things, but it either causes the j.s to whiff or makes no visible difference.
So any one ever figure this out
In her air dash dust loops you need to delay the air dash in order to give her jumping Dust time to recover. You will need to input the air dash as baiken is starting to fall to the ground. Input it any earlier and the recovery from her dust will munch your input. Too late and you land on the ground. You pretty much need to input a little before she hits the ground. Then the jS should hit. Hope that helps :)
tatami gaeshi
More Guilty Gear please!
One reason I'm always on the fence about getting into GG is the lack of tutorials, breakdowns, guides on youtube. And Dustloop gives me headaches...
The game has a rather extensive ingame tutorial if that helps.
LeadAntagonist yeah I know but I mean for advanced stuff. setups, optimal combos
Name another 2d game that gives you what you're looking for.
containeduniverse The game itself is fine (amazing actually). It's the community that isn't as active content-wise. A couple years back I had the time to sit in training mode almost everyday. Nowadays I like when I have good digestible content online to speed up the process. Call it lame, but that's just my experience. Things might have changed though, there might be some more stuff than before.
--- Right now, you would have to go to a discord channel for your character.
What's the timing like for the airdash after her j.S, D?
You gotta wait til she goes back into air neutral after the j.S>j.D to do the airdash
You seriously are dashing just before she touches the ground.
Anyone else having trouble with the 2H, 236+K - 6H, 63214+K>P ?
236+k into 6hs requires a delay for mid weights (Or at least, it does for Sol), 63214k+p is distance dependant, depending on where you started and wait you may have to delay, or you may have to try something else or simply end your combo in some cases.
I think that's right
not bad!!!
Ok the original cool waifu is back!! lest rock >:D
I don't understand guilty gear notations, can someone explain what the numbers mean in this game?
The numbers are directions. If you have a number pad on your keyboard, use that as a reference. For example, 2 is down, 3 is down+forward, and 6 is forward. Therefor, 236 is down, all the way to forward. Otherwise known as a quarter-circle forward motion.
The letters are 4 attacks. On a PS4 controller: P is Square, K is X, S is Triangle, H is Circle. I hope that helps :)
TrueUnderDawgGaming Thanks that helps a lot. I was so confused when I saw a notation for 6, I thought it was a face button haha!
where are the advanced combos? I saw the thing and I saw none
the fwd.hs won't connect after 236K
A4 FatBack I'm having trouble with this one as well. Is there some trick to it? It almost sounds like the 6H is cancelling the 236K. I don't understand what's going on here.
James Leitner I believe it only works on certain chars like lightweights such as Jacko
A4 FatBack oh how bout that! I could do it on Jack O! how do you find out which characters are considered light weight and which aren't? Guilty Gear is sick!
James Leitner their actually might be a list out there but I just try it on everyone and put it in my notes on who it works for
You need to cancel the 236K to 6H as fast as you can, I too had trouble connecting the 6H at first :)
Why does she only have 1 arm
new player trying to start learning GG here, wtf are these numbers
Edit: Nevermind, I'm mashing and getting that exact same combo xD
Can someone explain me how the fuck someone can do that last combo with a controller ? d-pad ? joy stick ? are u flash ? do u slow the time ? my biggest dream is learn to play fighting games but idk how the fuck u can do it
what does 63214+k h mean?
Half circle back kick then heavy slash
So, I hate to be that person, but what if my opponent isn't Jack-O, Most of the combos seem to not work on others
I fucking hate the fact that different has characters has different weight and health values. That's just unnecessary
@@Anarchic1989 Health makes sense, weight isn't necessary, they do go a bit overboard on health sometimes, I understand low health characters but giving characters some painful health and guts sucks. Low health and meh guts sucks sometimes but with characters that is defensive or hit fairly hard, it isn't an issue
YYYYYYYYEEEEEEERRRRRRRSSSSSSSSHHHHHHH
im a noob whats the numbers mean eg 2d?
Kenneth Phillips If you look at a numpad on a keyboard they relate to the directional inputs, for instance 2d is down+d button, 5 is stick in neutral position. The numbers assume you are facing to the right.
What the hell do the numbers mean?
Number notations for directions. Look at the keypad on your keyboard. For example: 2 = down. 3 = Down + Forward. 6 = Forward. 4 = Back.
SQUID!!!!!
2d? 63214? What does that even mean?
2d = low sweep
63214 = half circle back
What's > and j.s
jump slash
