True! Not to be too autobiographical, but my father was a well-known drug runner in Fort Worth and Dallas back in the 90s. It was straight mob boss type ish- money, women, cars, houses...and he was known to be a charitable person to those he loved(me included). So of course the roaches came and wanted a piece. My dad had a great heart but pretty good discernment. A smaller dealer wanted to clique up with him posing as a friend...my dad said no because of Hood politics n all that. As fate would have it, this man would end up being my father's murderer (died at the young age of 23 going on 24) shortly before my third birthday.
Moral of the story is when they can't get a piece, they'll talk mess or delete you. Everybody ain't your friend. To this day, I feel more comfortable with women than I do with other men. Jealousy is just inverted admiration. They love what you got, and hate that you the one who got it.
