"Sometimes there's so much beauty in the world, I feel like I can't take it, and my heart is just going to cave in."
There is much beauty in the world when we take the time to seek it.
Eyes r not sufficient enjoy the beauty. So we have to take birth again and again on the master world.
Oh glorious u are cuz love is on ur heart and very few are so fortunate to hold this inefable treasure, I'm deeply happy for u my stranger friend in battle.
Yes
Poetry to a whole another level
TO A STRANGER.
PASSING stranger! you do not know how longingly I
look upon you,
You must be he I was seeking, or she I was seeking,
(it comes to me, as of a dream,)
I have somewhere surely lived a life of joy with you,
All is recall'd as we flit by each other, fluid, affection-
ate, chaste, matured,
You grew up with me, were a boy with me, or a girl
with me,
I ate with you, and slept with you-your body has
become not yours only, nor left my body mine
only,
You give me the pleasure of your eyes, face, flesh, as
we pass-you take of my beard, breast, hands,
in return,
I am not to speak to you-I am to think of you when
I sit alone, or wake at night alone,
I am to wait-I do not doubt I am to meet you again,
I am to see to it that I do not lose you.
Walter "Walt" Whitman (May 31, 1819 - March 26, 1892) was an American poet, essayist, and journalist.
A humanist, he was a part of the transition between transcendentalism and realism, incorporating both views in his works.
Whitman is among the most influential poets in the American canon, often called the father of free verse.
His work was very controversial in its time, particularly his poetry collection Leaves of Grass, which was described as obscene for its overt sexuality.
Born in Huntington on Long Island, Whitman worked as a journalist, a teacher, a government clerk, and-in addition to publishing his poetry-was a volunteer nurse during the American Civil War.
Early in his career, he also produced a temperance novel, Franklin Evans (1842).
Whitman's major work, Leaves of Grass, was first published in 1855 with his own money.
The work was an attempt at reaching out to the common person with an American epic.
He continued expanding and revising it until his death in 1892.
After a stroke towards the end of his life, he moved to Camden, New Jersey, where his health further declined.
When he died at age 72, his funeral became a public spectacle.
Stella Maris thank you.
Now would be wonderful, another lifetime perhaps?
Life is too short. Relationships are sweet torment. Love is doomed to a tragic bitter end in ever case. This is why we do it over and over again.
I love this Poem. I love Poetry. Guess I’m strange. Poetry moves my Soul.
You’re not strange. You’re a beautiful spirit among many.
That's what it's supposed to do, nothing strange about it . . .
Absolutely perfect. Thank you, thank you. Happy 200th Walt.
I definitely believe in soul mates. We all have one
I'm so lucky for finding this
Great film - very complementary to the poem
I think Walt would have loved this rendition of his verse
What a voice ❤️
Thank you! So many great poems out there - ruined - read wrong, put to the wrong music, wrong pace, wrong everything... You did it justice. Thank you
Really beautiful, its just like I feel , we feel it every time we fall for anyone , yeah sometimes it may be like you are in trouble, but you feel the love, amazing, magic, every time you get nervous like he/she touches you, but seeing him is also the best happiness
I wish every lovers to be forever together ♥️
Which song is playing in the background?

Beautiful
This one of the most beautiful renditions of WW I have seen. I wish though, her face would not be revealed, no closeups would be done. Nevertheless, it is well recited.
Lovely
Why is this your only vid of his poems, there’s so many more you need to jus like this :D

Out of all the names julie H my sister ty❤
They say life can’t be defined. That’s ridiculous. The definition should be, “if you know you’re alive, then you are”.
Fear not
Two years ago I was in my feelns I guess
This poem is so powerful and deep but the video is somewhat distracting and not helpful!!!
nice
The music is louder than the voice. It's annoying. Turn it very low or off . Life contains no music. There you go, use that as a title and write a poem about unnecessary noise . "Life contains no music, listen not to noisy videos . . . ''" etc .
No
I lost this poem, I listen it long long ago and today I found this after 3 hours by searches on uTub. ❤️
