Hey, partially unrelated but I wanted to let you know that I'm coming from nearly a decade being out of school having believed I'd never be good at any form of learning. Particularly math. Through a lot of good people and my own realization and willingness to change, I've learned this isn't true. I'm here facing my dreaded fear from high school with a willingness to learn for the sake of bettering myself and one day utilizing this and much more in any way that'll help me and others one day. It's never too late to tear up your script and start a new path. Don't lock yourself to a belief that "you're only this good/bad at this thing. This is how it'll be, it'll never change". That's only true if you let that belief bind you. Study and work hard for you and your values, grow and find your happiness people because it's possible.

Einstein said that if you can't simply explain something then you don't know it well enough... this here is a man that understands calculus. Calculus has three major tools: Limits, integrals and derivatives, and it helps us to understand more about the changes around us. And it excites me more to learn about calculus.
Thanks for telling me I was always wondering what calculus is because I was curious and when I search it up it was always a lesson on derfitives or something like that but I never understood its purpose and this video just did that

Only to realize that in fact, all i need now is more practice. Thank you so much for helping me understand this finally
(I’m sorry, I didn’t think this comment would get so long. I also typed this on my phone, so I’m sorry about the grammar) Your comment sums me up perfectly. I’m so sad I never actually “applied myself” like my teachers said. Calculus isn’t nearly as bad as I was afraid of. I was sick a lot as a kid so I missed a bunch of school. Missing class + crazy bad ADHD means math was horrible for me my entire life. I did poorly in school because I didn’t care about it, and graduated high school in 2012 with a C average, and managed to graduate without even passing Algebra 1 (my school offered alternative math credits that were “hard” but didn’t actually require math, it was more like IQ tests and puzzle solving). After graduation, I started a business, got into investing, and worked a “normal” job all at the same time, and retired super young last May (exactly one year ago next week). I still felt really unfulfilled and wanted to see what my life would be like if I had a do-over. So, in the last year I went to college, and I tried my best for once. I took so many courses that I’ll already be finished with my associates by the end of this summer, and I’m hoping to transfer to a good school and study economics. I’ve managed to maintain a perfect 4.0 this entire time too. But the biggest surprise, and the thing I’m most proud of, is that I wanted to learn math, so I started Khan Academy last summer from the very begging at 2nd grade. I refused to move on until I had 100% on everything, including a refresher of every grade I already passed, once a month. Pathetically, I thought it was hard. BUT I’m here watching this video on Calculus after 12 months, so I guess it wasn’t hard enough to stop me. I’m much happier for it, and I think this process has improved me as a person. To anyone reading, I know not everyone can bail on their job or other responsibilities, but if you feel like you are missing something, this is probably it. If I can do it after decades of laziness and bad habits, never studying a single time in my whole life before a year ago, you can do it.

I dropped out in 8th grade, spent 14 years working dead end jobs, then got my GED. I went to college the following semester as someone who was only capable of doing basic math like addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. I have never been a smart person if I’m being honest. I didn’t care to learn anything. But I passed all of my college classes, including calculus. It feels impossible, but it’s not. You can do it.
Correct me if im wrong (Base on my understanding) Calculus is about change Example change in the speed of the car, change in the look of a car because it gets old . Pls correct me if im wrong
As a child you were afraid the boogeyman was real ... then you found out calculus existed !! And your college scholarship hangs in the balance! NOW YOU KNOW REAL FEAR!

do you also have a video to explain this in detail to a biology student who has to use differentiation and integration in physics? this video is very nice, easy to understand..thank you
I do not have an extensive math background, as I had to drop out of high school. Can you recommend a curriculum that will provide the foundational knowledge needed to learn calculus? Thank you in advance.
Since Calculus has so many new ideas you can try and jump into it directly. I'd keep an algebra, or a pre-calculus book handy when some confusing calculations show up. Then you can brush up on the stuff you need. :^D
I am in a university calculus class this semester and i was too stubborn too take precalculus. I feel lost as im trying to prepare for class. I dont want to drop the class. Im trying to watch as many videos like this…this is a good video…subscribed and liked…but i still feel overwhelmed. Im also doing all the khan academy i can do. Is it even possible that i can be ready for this class in two weeks?
I'm only in 8th grade and I'm trying to learn calculus early bc I heard it was rlly hard, so I wanted a jump start. (also bc I suck at math so I NEED the jump start..
I don’t think there is really an age or grade limit for calculus. Many of the core ideas can be learned early on. Keep working hard and you’ll do great. :^D
Chas Marie Arevalo Concepts of calculus are lightly touched upon in high school algebra classes. You get into the real nitty gritty of calculus if you take a class on it ;)

GOOD JOB MSMT, I AM INDEED DULL IN MATH BUT I AM LEARNING IN YOUR VIDEOS!
Him: did you enjoy this video?
Me: no
Also me: joke im enjoying it hash browns
im 13yrs old trying to learn this during the summer before the start of 8th grade :,))
I did not remember studying any trigonometry in my 12 years of being a student.
i absolutely love trigonometry!
and it triggers ppl
I dropped out in 8th grade, spent 14 years working dead end jobs, then got my GED. I went to college the following semester as someone who was only capable of doing basic math like addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. I have never been a smart person if I’m being honest. I didn’t care to learn anything. But I passed all of my college classes, including calculus. It feels impossible, but it’s not. You can do it.
Great video. I plan to go through your webpage and watch all the videos
This video is so much useful for my learning thank you
really nice introduction
I'm getting ready for this. I'm coming back and tell you guys if I passed or not.
Thank you for your time and consideration
Correct me if im wrong
(Base on my understanding)
Calculus is about change
Example change in the speed of the car, change in the look of a car because it gets old . Pls correct me if im wrong
Change per Unit Measurement.
Change in output per unit change in input.
Started fasting and decided to rabbit hole my way here. I got a whiteboard, this has been a long time comin
Nicely explained
Thank you sir for explaining very well
You made it pellucid
Thanks once again sir
thank you so much, sir. you are a lifesaver.
I was really excited to learn this, but then I paused the video and went through all the comments. I'm scared now!😂
Calculas. Is very easy learnt In one minute.
At least now I understand, what calculus is. Thank you😊👍
this doesn't look super complicated but it does look challenging. Does anyone know how much of this is used in data analytics?
As a child you were afraid the boogeyman was real ... then you found out calculus existed !!
And your college scholarship hangs in the balance!
NOW YOU KNOW REAL FEAR!
Good sir i loved you video, however some students have a low self esteem and so when you say calculus is "hard" they will believed it and they will make this an excuse and will not even try to understand this.
god bless you
Sara Muhammed
Great intro, Thanks a lot.
do you also have a video to explain this in detail to a biology student who has to use differentiation and integration in physics? this video is very nice, easy to understand..thank you
Vasupradha Ananth don't you hate when UA-camrs teaching like a class room subject don't reply
tange2000 hmmm...sometimes. But it's ok
Thanks alot helped me a ton as of not I am going to 5th but not sure if I'll need it but this is a good skill because I want to be a engineer
Excellent, with a bit of hard work you'll do fine. :^D
I’m in 5th grade it’s winter break and I want to have a better understanding and even get better at math for the next 2weeks
👏👏👏very nicely explained.
I'm only in 8th grade and I'm trying to learn calculus early bc I heard it was rlly hard, so I wanted a jump start. (also bc I suck at math so I NEED the jump start..
Missy, you don't suck at math! Google _Think “I Suck at Math”? You Can Change That_ (first article by piqosity). 🤓
Do you think learning Calculus is good for a 7th grader? Because I wrote down a lot of notes toward what you said in this video
I don’t think there is really an age or grade limit for calculus. Many of the core ideas can be learned early on. Keep working hard and you’ll do great. :^D
Don't pretend you knew why ws going on in thy video
lol im 8th grader and i have to learn this for a maths competition also something called the chain method
I didn't even know i was doing this "calculus" thing in school. It's a wonder how i got my diploma😂😂😂😂
Chas Marie Arevalo Concepts of calculus are lightly touched upon in high school algebra classes. You get into the real nitty gritty of calculus if you take a class on it ;)
The bad lip sync is triggering me
I need this to become a brain surgeon hopefully I get there
Keep working hard, you can get there.
@@MySecretMathTutor thank you 😊
This is fantastic! Thank you.
I'm in 5th grade I'm just seeing how complicated this is
Snowy same
I am only in second grade ok don't act smart

Lightning Gaming HQ same XD
Tinaplays 131 same
