I think you can both guess what my comment is going to be ... give Sony crop sensors a break!!! And you didn't mention the A7C as an option for a smaller full frame, although of course the lenses don't shrink. When I saw the title of this episode, I headed straight for it because I'm looking to downsize in advance of a long backpacking trip (once lockdown is raised). Not changing from Sony, but looking for different diopters for the 50mm macro so that I can leave the enormous 90mm lens + port at home, and at the WWL-1 option (on a Sigma 19mm) as a rectilinear solution, so that I can do likewise with the nearly-as-massive 10-18mm + 7" dome combo. As the 19mm and 50mm both use the macro 45 port (the 50mm with a 30 extension), that has great benefits for interchangeability and space saving. But one thing I'm not changing is my strobes, because I don't want to compromise on my lighting. And neither will I be leaving the 10-17 at home: one thing I do agree with you about, is the shortcomings of Sony's 16mm+fisheye converter. So, Adam, as a remedy for all this anti-Sony bigotry, I'm going to ask to borrow that WWL-1 of yours next time I'm on your manor. 😉
I think you need to see the video somewhat in context. It is aimed at people that are finding large camera systems a problem, and wanting to "downsize." Going from a D500 (for example) to a Sony A6XXXX does not really represent a great bulk or weight saving, but will be a significantly expensive one... WWL-1 is not (by any stretch of the imagination) rectilinear! You are welcome to find this out for yourself when you borrow mine...(it is the "old style bayonet) .
@@Wetpixel-Live In context, that wasn't how you put it in the video!! Making an assumption about today's announcement, I'm putting 30 March in the diary, and I look forward to it! 🤞🏻
Thanks, guys for what you are doing. Not a lot of info out there to help me improve my UW game so am quite grateful 🙏🏽👍🏽
Our pleasure!
Im using micro 4/3rds
