Dude I thought the same thing. The whole “I might get killed for saying this” shit is definitely an invitation to violence even if inadvertently. He really would have manifested his own death, and that’s no exaggeration. I have even more of an appreciation for Like Toy Soldiers now because it really is such a mature choice to make that song.

Hood or Suge think about it was recorded then but this couldn't have come out now it aged differently in the vault cause 1. Dre from the land Em not so no speaking on the land you not from, 2.Suge ah blood so = Bloodz gonna be offended 3. True it woulda added ⛽️ to 🔥 but Irv and Ja were blood and even more so rollin wit real ones like Preme. And in real life Em had his run ins with Suge few times just in what's talked about. Aside from their NYC & Detroit crews, they did have big juice and street support in LA. Thats how they were able to keep moving and stay on top.
Game a blood and signed with them. So 💰 is even thicker than blood code and they had more 💰 than Suge.

Another thing some people might not have noticed, the voice line "Suge shot me", was actually a reference to the start of the song Bomb First from 2pac. In the first few seconds of the song before the bell played, people at the time thought that the voice heard sounded like it was saying "Suge shot me" - like it was a hint from Pac or some conspiracy theory. So Eminem referenced/used that, you can hear that it almost sounds the same just clearer in Smack You.

I lived on Bringard, which is about 6 streets away from Novara where Em lived and talked about in songs like Yellow Brick Road. At the end of my block and 4 streets up right at Brock and 8 mile was the club that Proof got shot at. D12 used to go to Wired Frog on Gratiot just north of 8 mile, they had Bizarre's birthday party there. I also remember buying Em, D12, and other local artists mixtapes at Gibralter Trade Center and that swap meet on Dequindre just north of 8 mile; Record Time at 9 and Gratiot was shut down at this point but Em used to be up there too.

I only ever lived in the city twice; once with a friend for a year off of Corbett and Dickerson right out of high school and then lived downtown/midtown for 5 years in my late 20’s early 30’s. But I am an eastside burb dweller…Warren, Hazel Park, Eastpointe, Centerline and Roseville were my stomping grounds the entire 90’s and 2000’s so I know the areas you’re talking about for sure.

No they aren't racist. They just disagree with you, Eminem has said himself multiple times if he was black he would not be as successful as he is. Eminem stans don't know nothing about hip hop if you still think he's the greatest rapper, Black Thought, Kendrick , and Nas are putting out better music lyrically and flow wise. He fell off after Eminem show.

INSTANT CLASSIC SIMPLY A INSTANT CLASSIC! It’s safe to say Marshall wouldn’t be here with us if this was released back in 2003 no exaggeration whatsoever. The flow here is very reminiscent of Em’s flow on “One Day At A Time”. The sample in the beginning Is off of Bomb First off of Makaveli: the seven day theory, and then he was quoting against all odds in his words when he said “Up in the studio getting blow”. This entire disstrack is extremely Tupac coded as well and Biggie, but much more of Pac!😮‍💨🐐🔥(“Smack You” ~ This is prime Shady, his flow is immaculate, his voice inflections is perfection and super smooth and Em’s Pac impression is flawless!!!!! And the fact Em went at Suge this was definitely never gonna get released just based off that fact and Em goin at Ja this hard cuz he disrespected Em’s own flesh & blood this is arguably The Greatest Eminem Disstrack EVER!)

Em didn't care if he got killed over it, even said it in the song. Honestly... was probably so high he didn't really grasp the finality of that if we're being honest. ...but likely what was said is that someone else will get killed, your boys, your family. That would have spoken to him. With how he featured Hailey in the song... could've been her Dre said was in danger. That would get Em to shelve it for sure. ...then we got Toy Soldiers. ...a what if.

But yall sound like lebron fans trying to convince everybody that he is the greatest. Em is one of the greatest emcees ever, but that doesn't mean that if somebody thinks pac, nas, big, meth, pun, kdot, andre3k, wayne, etc are better that they just hating because em is white.
